ItsEmmaa, that's great, sis! I'm genuinely happy for you. The thing is, a lot of folks have this misconception about Nigerians. We're a nation of 180 million people. We all don't possess the same characteristics. The attitude of folks in the Northern part of Nigeria is different from folks from the Southern part of Nigeria. If I may ask, where are you from?

Scandinavian and Nigerian! Welcome on board. Fantastic. Next thing is try and visit mother land. Link up with reputation and trusted tourist agencies in Nigeria. Link up with Nigerians but choose wisely. Start with women even on this platform. There are many good Nigerians but also bad ones. That's the world we live in; it is not peculiar to Nigerians. You can also trace your route and hopefully connect with your families back in Nigeria. Again do this with extra care. Good luck and Best wishes.

Peter onyeolu, very well put, brother! She's one of the few Africans that embrace us. The hatred is real. The thing is, some Africans actually believe all Nigerians are bad. It's a shame. Most folks that says Nigerians are dodgy, they're dodgy as well. There are some folks that fall into the victim of circumstances, but majority of them are criminal as well.
May God continue to bless our husstle.

This is so far the best page on UA-cam I have seen someone talk genuinely about Nigerian men. You really did a good job sister. As for the bad images we have of Nigerian men out there, please people let's get one thing straight, there's good and there's bad. Don't use the instinct of bad stereotype to judge a good Nigerian man when he finds you, because that will chase him away and trust me a good Nigerian man is like a gold mine that never runs out of Gold. When he says he's here to stay, he means it and he will do anything to make sure you both work out.

Well done sis. If you know how to treat a Nigerian man he is yours forever. You are doing things so well that even some Nigeria women fail/refuse to do because some of them have become so westernised that a man means nothing to them. Not suprised Nigerian men are increasingly marrying women from foreign countries. Nigerian women complain that Nigerian men does for foreign women things they don't do for Nigerian women. That's rubbish! Nigerian women tend to take Nigerian men for granted. I have to say that foreign women particularly African women married to Nigerian men are increasingly following these bad Nigerian women's leading to behaviours leading to break down of relationships/marriages. Whether you are a man or a woman; learn/take advice from those who will help make your home and not those who will help to break it.

Young lady, its not just Nigerian man that requires respect; to express your opinion you have to do it respectfully and if he is hot or angry that is not the time to express your opinion. If you want peace, you will keep quiet and address it at a later time- this is maturity, it does not make you soft or stupid.
Also, Faith your best friend should be your husband, although until you are married , you are a girlfriend. If engaged, when are you getting married, 9 years is a long time. Good luck in your relationship. Thank you for sharing your video about Nigerian Men.

  • @Gregofoma
    @Gregofoma 5 років тому +8

Hello Faith, you're almost accurate if considered generally. Thank you for the video.
But one thing to help you, men generally dont define love as women. To a woman, she can boldly say one loves her based on care - how he buys her things, tskes her out, spends on her, not necessarily expensive things but MUST buy things for her. To them, it only shows the man has her in his mind always to have remembered to buy her even if it is a candy. So women definition of love is usually along this line.
Buy men definition of love isn't in what the woman offers. If you like, buy him a house, change all his wardrobe, give him best sex, give him, give him, give him..... He would always appreciate your gifts as a good person but that doesn't fully convince him you love him. Generally, a man defines love from a lady through RESPECT LINE, especially an Igbo man! If he tells you something to do & you agree to do that, he sees it that you ABSOLUTELY TRUSTS HIS LEADERSHIP & WISDOM. This makes him go mad about you. Why? This is mostly bcos of their culture & the Christian teaching which commands man to love & woman to respect. They re 99% Christians & religious (I didnt say godly - that's arguement for another day)
And I think it is absolutley correct! You can make Igbo man look like a puppet in your hands if you respect him. He can give you all his world!
In all, thank you for the video

Nigerian men are cultured, hardworking and responsible. Many women in the society would consider marrying Nigerian men because they are responsible men who work hard in order to live well in the society. They are financially buoyant and not selfish Nigerian men are thoughtful. They have high regards for the women they married to. They make good family. They are well exposed.

😂😂😂 I laughed all the way.
    *Asa nwa, Baby oku m*
With those words, I bet your man is Igbo.
In case he hasn't explained to you (which would be a big surprise 😉), in Igbo "asa nwa" means *v-e-r-y* beautiful babe.
"My _baby oku"_ or "Baby oku m" means "my hot chick".
As for colours, generally women are more colour-sensitive than men.
Your guy is certainly holding on to traditional ways of doing things: expected deference of the woman to the husband, restraint in relationship with opposite sex, especially for a married woman. Understandably that might be an issue if you were raised in a more emancipated environment, but may have nothing to do with country of origin.
_O girl, chaï, your pidgin English na jejee. You be full fledged Nigerian sef, and I throw 'way my hat for you~o. You be real baby oku._
Your love for your man is very obvious (and no doubt he loves you in equal measure), so much that his nigerian accent has robbed off on you! I'm looking forward to your wedding announcement, which shall solve your "confusion" on whether you're dating, married, dating, engaged ... (trust me, your entire family will love it😁).

just need to say " no you can't have my number" as polite as you can. simple! No need to broadcast this! Nothing special about it.

    • @oluakinwale4485

just saw this, your right about the negative side of Nigerians am a Kenyan and we hv the same issue with my guy who we hv been together for 4 years now, like you hv to keep quiet when he talks shit, I hate when he demands for respect coz I was raised knowing that respect is a two way traffic and he never wants to hear my opinion and the other thing is he doesn't believe that men and women are equal and should share or help each other on house chores. There is nothing that pisses me off with this 1980s mentality, another thing is my guys insecurity level is off the roof when it comes to other guys, another thing I noticed is he doesn't respect personal space like when u argue and ur angry and u decide well I need to keep quiet hv sm space to cool down even if it's a few days he will start an issue over it like your not allowed to be angry for thatlong he expects you to smile he will be like but I said am sorry why are you still angry now! come and sit here are you still angry laugh now and when u try and pull the same thing with him when he is angry, my friend you will be shocked by how fast you hv escalated the issue and how angry he will get. Nigerian guys especially my guy is very dramatic and extra and tends to twist issues around. I swear I hate each time we argue it's like am dating a different breed of a man or maybe that'show yoruba guyz are and he sees his fault in anything ever and each time we make up after an argument or fight he is like u hv to change o, this your behaviour is not good never once will he see his fault in anything which bugs me to death literally. Are yoruba men like this ama this one am with is a special specimen .

I have noticed that true love actually flourish between Nigerians of either gender with Caucasians. It is always a sorry disastrous relationship when Nigerians of whatever gender date blacks in diaspora. I have advised my own little brother and he was recently shot by his black american girlfriend after so many months of quarrels and drama. He managed to call 911 and was taken to hospital before he passed out. Luckily, the bullet was just in his intestines and was successfully removed. Now he knows better about dating certain types of women.

@Anonymous you are wrong on your submission, but let me tell you here though some people might do such a thing but there is no reason to generalised an issues like this if you will agree with me. But there is some Nigerians who are married to some Kenyan women for real. So please I wouldn't want you to just generalise this issue. Though some few people might be interested in getting a documentations from any woman but do not say that everyone one is like that for real. I am very sure that you know the size of the population of Nigeria, so do not think that Nigeria is a small country, in your Kenya that is a smaller nation to be compared with Nigeria are you telling me that everyone in Kenya is good, no of course you know that everyone in Kenya is not good.
