- As promised, I’m doing a looper tutorial. However, the challenge was I only use my iPhone 7 to record this video so I am unable to give you another view on what I’m doing on the guitar. This is only more of the pedal. I think I will do another video soon and more slower presentation and probably simplified.
This is not a sponsored video. Im just simply sharing my knowledge and skills about this Zoom G1xOn Looper feature of the pedal.

Have you not tried the Bass SIM patch.Its really excellent.I just gave the fretless Bass I was restoring back to the owner after using it for about 2 mnths lol.So Zoom bass SIM now takes care of bass duties and it sounds totally natural.Good enough for my recordings.I hadn't used the Zoom for ages until you reminded me I had one😁,forgot how good it is,so cheers for that Vincent!Sorry man I didn't notice you changing to BASS SIM.😨
hehehe.... Cheers John. Yeah, the bass sim is a lot noticeable when you use headphones. Very handy patch for looping and solo performance.
Hi, great video, thanks for putting it up. Is it possible to do a loop and then bypass to a different effects pedal to play the overlaying stuff (not record the overlaying stuff on a loop, I assume that's not possible)
Mark W i havent tried it but I think you can. All you need to do is put the Zoom G1xOn last on the chain so it can capture the rest of the effects pedal that you will be using.
The other way of doing it as well is to press Home and change patch then its up to you ti go back to the looper and overlay or just jam along.

mohit bansal as many as you can I think. Normally i just put up to 4. But the looper is only 32 seconds

I haven't tried it yet and I was also planning to get one. Same as you I am really curious about it. I've watched a lot of demos and reviews on UA-cam and it's almost an upgrade to Zoom G1on and G1xOn. I think better functionality and improved setup but the list of effects and how it was put together is the same. It's like, things that should have been done for G1xOn like the error on the wah pedal and easy access when editing, was put here. Hope this helps.

Thank you! Yeah I was also gutted that there's no undo option. I think it's Boss proprietary hehehe. Such a shame if you messed up, you have to do it again.
ive just modded mine, i added a 3.5mm headphone socket connected to the existing output socket, , and i have 2 more footswitches so i can control the looper from the floor and have the unit on a table/sideboard......well worth doing. makes it easier to select patches whilst looping on the floor still......now to update the firmware for extra sounds.....cheers
That’s awesome. I only use a sticky pads on the buttons on mine so I can switch from drum machine to looper and also to go back to home and change patches. @@vincentryanborres hi man, got a looper question for ya....is there a way to have the drums count in and then loop without having to have the drums playing first then start looper which then counts in???....
@@100roberthenry I don’t think it’s got that feature. But probably you can without the count in. Like record your loop the. Playback and go to drum machine and when it’s time to turn the drums on just step on play.
Count in only happens when you clear your recorded loop and obviously if it was set to count in.
That’s really good question. Hopefully there’s a way to it.

Disclosurer Radio I havent done that yet. I will try and let you know if it will work
Disclosurer Radio I tried to find out about the volume using the pedal and it doesn’t work. Because there no settings or edit to choose the volume pedal. You need to manually set the volume via the looper. However, if you will be using this Zoom G1xOn or G1On as looper only, then connect it separately to a mixer and connect your guitar to your amp and can mix them separately. But if you use it together as effects pedal and looper, you can only adjust the volume or setup the volume via the looper which is still good because you mix your sound. But not whilst playing. You need to adjust or set it up beforehand.
I have thought of a possible hack for the G1 that you may like. I will share it with you if it works. Thanks for the help!

Does the looper record the aux in? If so.. is there a way to turn this function on or off? I am thinking about hooking 2 G1xon together using ABY box and running the headphone into the aux input. It may also be possible to use the USB to control midi.
Nice tutorial bro! May i ask what is the purpose of bypass?
The bypass is to skip the effects pedal and the signal goes directly to your amp. This way you can balance and adjust the eq of your amp without the effects or cab sim from your pedal.

Btw how to save the created looper or it play once ?
It's auto play and then you can overlay or overdub some more tracks on it. But once you turn the unit off. It will clear off whatever loop you made.

vincent ryan borres I just caught BOSS LOOPER.Ibought the RC3 about 6 mnths ago.£175 UK,reduced to £125!3 hrs record time,100 slots to save in,awesome drum machine and can upload to,or download from computer and as you know those BOSS pedals are bulletproof!Great pedal to have especially if you can get the lower price.Cheers Vincent,sorry for butting in Creed.Oh yeah it has the undo/redo function as well.

Sorry, the G1xOn doesn't have undo. You have to do the loop all over again.

wellborn kharkongor it is temporarily saved in the unit’s looper. Looper limit is only 32 seconds. You can’t save it to a flash drive. You need an interface that can connect to your phone or computer.

Yes, the long pedal can be assigned as wahwah, volume pedal or whammy (like tremolo bend). It can do a lot of stuff. I can't demo it all.
Sir Great Lesson... is there option to record 30+ minute??? iwant 2 minute
The Zoom G1xOn and G1On looper only got a maximum of 32 seconds. If you want a longer recording of your looper, you will need the TC electronic Ditto looper because it is up to 5 minutes. Or, the Boss RC1 because it has maximum of 12 minutes. I will research may be there's a cheaper looper that can loop up to 2 minutes. Then I will get back to you.
Ammoon Nano Looper is up to 10 minutes. I havent tried this yet but I hope it does the job. It's affordable in terms of price.

Unfortunately no. It can only store when I’m use. It disappears after you turn the unit off.

youre welcome. with the loop, it's only save when there's power. Once you turn it off, whatever you created is deleted. I think it's got to do with the memory. It's only designed to store patches you make but not the looping.

It will work the same coz Zoom G1xOn and Zoom G1Four is almost the same with some upgrade cosmetically and with the effects. But configuration wise plus drum patterns and looping are almost identical.

sam caliphso no I didn’t. But I put it on the neck pickup and put the tone to 0 or probably 1.
Is it possible to save loops on the pedal?
Darren Sheridan yes but only when there’s power if you unplug it, the loop that was saved will be erased. As long as it’s on whatever is there can be retained
I'd like to know what if I wanted to REDO the Bass part how should I do?
Hidden Channels there’s no undo or redo option for this one. You have to do everything again. Unlike the Boss Looper, you can undo and edit.

What is the "bypass" in signal chain? Also it can't be deleted
ali akbari bypass means that all the effects are off. Its like the signal bypass your zoom. Its good when doing soundcheck so that you can hear exactly the sound of your guitar and amp without effects and you can adjust the eq of the amp and really listen to the sound of your amp itself

@@praisethesay10 No its off, it does not affect anything. What you can do is, add effect and delete bypass. You can't delete the bypass when it's just by itself.
Hi Vincent, is it possible to turn off the looper count-in when using the rhythm? There's no count in when you only use the looper without rhythm. Thanks, Craig
Hello Craig, I just took out my Zoom G1xOn and explored because I didnt think of this before. I don't think there's a settings to it. I couldn't find any option to turn of the count in. So sorry.

Yes those are self adhesive chair and table pads. You can buys them on eBay or similar online shops like Amazon. Its easy to change from Looper to Rhythm and going back to home and choose patches.

david Martínez the sound of G1xOn is ok but can get a bit noisy. On the other hand G1xFour, the preset patches are disappointing but once you tweak it, you can get really good sound and it’s not noisy. So yeah I would sa G1xFour is a lot better. If you compare the materials used, I think G1xFour is a lot durable. Based on its price as well
Can we connect Zoom G1x 4 with Piano Keyboard? Roland and yamaha?
I think you can. The only downside is the input of this Zoom G1Four is Mono. So your keyboard should have a mono output to be able to plug it into this Zoom G1Four.

Hello Sir, unfortunately no. It's Max 30 seconds. If it reached the maximum 30 seconds loop, it will automatically stop recording and play whatever was recorded.

Why do you have those stickers over some of the buttons?
And can you pause the looper playback and then start it again if you want to play over sikence for a few bars? Thx!
Jason Deline the stickers are there so I can change from looper to rhythm to main menu and change patches. Yes, you can pause and play again. But you can only pause either the loop or rhythm which ever the setting was.

Jason Deline you can pause one at a time. That’s the downside. So let’s say you pause the looper, the drum machine still continues. A bit of a nuisance but I think it’s because of the price of this pedal being all in one
What's different between g1on and g1xon ? What's effect of pedal g1xon ?

Wanted to ask that if a looper pedal says 38 seconds looper(or 38 seconds looping) then what happens after 38 seconds ? Does it stop looping? Or does it take a break and then start looping again?
If 38 is the maximum, it will record up to 38 seconds and then play it back immediately into a loop. The whole 38 seconds just goes back on and on.

you can but just make sure that the input to Zoom G1xFour is mono, if ever it's stereo, it doesn't turn on the unit. You will need a stereo to mono adaptor or lead. But I think there are people who use the zoom effects with their keyboards. I've seen before using Zoom G1On. The older version of Zoom G1Four.

JS Bogs bale nagkaroon din ako ng ganyan na problema pero hindi sya sa amp o sa pedal. Sa guitar pickups ko. Ang tawag ata dun is hydrophonic pickups. Bale kahit anong layo ko sa amp or kahit anong brand ng amp magfefeedback talaga kasi giba ang pickups. Yung sira nya is hydrophonic. Nung pinalitan
Ko ang pickups nag okay naman na ang tunog.
Can we save loops on this ?
Utsav kumar I’m afraid not, it’s just a simple looper, where you play riff with or without drum beat up to 30 seconds and overdub or overlay over and over. There’s no redo as well so if you make errors, you will have to repeat everything all over. Hope this answers your question.

Plz tell how to save the loop😔😔😔
Loop is automatically saved. Max of 30 seconds. So when you step on record, whatever stuff you played up to 30 sec is saved after you step on rec again. Then you can overdub or layer some more. And step on stop. It is just there whatever you recorded and when you step on play, it will again play whatever was recorded unless you turn off the unit. Then looper will reset or you clear it by press and hold.

Neehal sorry there’s no undo feature on this one. Would be great if it does. Boss looper pedal got undo feature

and one more thing i recently got this processor and it nakes a lot of noise to the point where it can be played with.
i tried using the batteries then tried changing cables different amps different guitars different houses and thought it was my processors problem and went to the shop to change it and turns out this one also makes the same noises.especially with the distortion and high gain effects and amp sims it is unusable what should i do?
Neehal most high gain effects got hum and noise. One option is shielding your guitar. Put foil where your pots (volume and tone knobs as well as toggle switch) are located.
Another remedy is turn the volume of your guitar down and turn it up when you are doing lead. Or only step on the pedal when you are about to use the high gain distortion.
Also what I do is I hold the strings to eliminate unnecessary noise.

Ang looper sir para sa gitara lng. Bale start ka dun sa drums muna kng anong drum pattern at gaano kabilis ang tempo i-set mo muna. Tapos hayaan mo na umaandar ang drums. Pindotin mo yung looper button. Tapos apakan mo yung record. Mag-syn na yan sila tapos.
Ah ok po kala ko marerecord din ung drumbeat hndi pala,isang tanong p sir,halimbawang inedit ko yung isang patch at nag-autosaved saan ko n makikita yung original patch n hndi edited?
Tuff Hill yun ang problem sir wala syang undo button. So kng na-autosave na sya mahirapan ka magrevert to original. Ang pwede mong gawin is reset to original factory settings. Yun lng, ang mga nakasave mo na Settings mawawala din. Kaya ko nagawa tong youtube channel ko para pagnawala ang mga patches ko meron akong babalikan.
