Unless you play guitar, you probably do not appreciate the touch and feel you need to write and play a song like this. Neil Geraldo is one of the most underrated and overlooked players ever. The touch he shows during the rhythm and solo sections is ridiculously good...
This is one of those songs that takes on a life of its' own when your driving down the road late at night on a empty highway...Pat is one of the jewels in the crown of rock and roll...
It is one of my favorite songs of Pat, maybe the favorite. The atmosphere the songs delivers and the setting in the streets , there is no comparison. I love the early songs so much. Thanks Pat.
Same reason Ted Nugent isn't in the HOF...politics. That organization doesn't really care about musical talent...they just want artists that tow the line.
I LOVED Pat Benatar during the 80's. Remember rocking out to "Love is a Battlefield" at my high school formal. But this was a lesser known song that I REALLY loved.
Gr8 sound with Pat's voice and that band with those kick ass guitars and drums. That was rock not some wimpy crap that some bands in the 80's had and tried to pass off as rock.
God this video takes me back to the early 80's and early MTV!! I had forgotten about this song. I loved this song yet somehow had forgotten it. So glad to rediscover this! Thanks for posting it.
KING KRUSH Her Husband plays lead !!!! What a singer, what a guitar player, what a band what a video, shall I go on??????????? What performers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes John Roberts I know that. And they were a tremendously productive rock couple back then, and they're still together now, which shows something. There aren't many acts like this that have a great guitar player, but Giraldo is one for sure. Amazing to me they're not in the HOF.
My high school in 1981 had three teenage Ladies who emulated The Pat Benatar look. Charlene Ballou had the style, mannerisms, and look. Tracy Conn had the attitude, physique and facial looks. However, Sharon Bensing had the COMPLETE AND ENTIRE PACKAGE and she was my Best Female Friend. YOOUUZZAA!!!!

Going to see Pat Benatar and Neil (Spyder) Giraldo on 3/19/17. Will be my 18th time seeing them and my 1st acoustic concert @ Majestic Theatre in Dallas, TX. on 5th row!!
The one and only time I had the funds and time to see her was when she played in Brooklyn with Blondie in 2009. I was 32, and I was lucky enough to get front row. My ears were ringing for a week because I was close to the speakers, but it was worth it. For those that haven't seen her perform, drop everything and do so!
Three years ago front row at the CountBasie theatre. Spider gave me two of his picks. Going to the 4th show on July 3rd at the Count Basie theatre 3rd row center can't wait.
@@motnosniv little known artist? He's been on many movies ,general hospital, had 18 top ten hits and has currently toured still 1999 and plays to sell out crowds but yeah he's a little known artist
I like to think of myself as a big Pat Benatar fan but I've never heard this song before or seen this music video either. great song and video. I wouldn't feel so bad about her not being inducted in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, in my opinion it has lost all credibility when the likes of Pat, Kate Bush, Toto, Blue Oyster Cult, Boston, Kansas, Tina Turner as a solo artist just to name a few haven't been nominated or inducted but Bon Jovi are in. The Rock Hall Of Fame should or supposed to stand for excellence, innovation and quality but apparently all that matters is sales.
i love the tough rocker chick period of pat benatar's career. she looks menacing, like she'd mess you up if you crossed her. i love this video, especially the futuristic hallway scenes, and the screen play between the two different pat benatar's!!
@maxcomehomenow MTV definitely helped make her. I remember the early days. In that first year of MTV it seemed like every third video was one of her numbers.
@totally80music Was? she is still tough as nails, saw her 3 months ago, don't get any better then her, been to well over 200 rock concerts. and she and her hubby never fail to blow me away !!... and it still boggles my mind why her hubby is not up there with the likes of Jimmy Page ,as far a guitar playing . the man is the shit !!!
One of the 1st songs played on MTV in 1981.
Unless you play guitar, you probably do not appreciate the touch and feel you need to write and play a song like this. Neil Geraldo is one of the most underrated and overlooked players ever. The touch he shows during the rhythm and solo sections is ridiculously good...
You can say that again my friend
His skill is off the charts, and he makes it look effortless
This is one of those songs that takes on a life of its' own when your driving down the road late at night on a empty highway...Pat is one of the jewels in the crown of rock and roll...
How is this song not on any of her greatest hits albums? One of her best
Neil Giraldo’s guitar playing is off the charts here....so underrated.
It is one of my favorite songs of Pat, maybe the favorite. The atmosphere the songs delivers and the setting in the streets , there is no comparison. I love the early songs so much. Thanks Pat.
Love her! Saw her last year, that voice is still there, she rocked it!!!
The song that made me a fan for life… and the video that cemented it … my favorite amongst many seriously great songs…
Fierce! Killer song! Pat is sexy because she isn't trying to be... pure class and pure talent! We need Pat today to bless the airwaves! 80s rule!
She still tours.
@@beetlejuiceflorida Not now.
We gotta get rid of this MOTHERFUCKIN Coronavirus
First.
No one can out sing Pat, no one!!!!
I think her energy could power a whole city !!
love this video ,love her style ,its on point and she didnt try to expose her body because her talent was doing the job ,go pat
The most amazing face ever,,,and her voice ain't too bad either
oh man, I haven't seen this in 20 something years! I love this song - lost gem for me...
THE 80's were the BEST! i did this song KARAOKE! BOOM, bang, NAIL IT! Pat is my girl. LUV ALL HER JAMS!!
Hugely underrated tune from her. I love it even more than a lot of the bigger hits that make every set list.
pat benatar one of the most seductive and sexy rockers of all time
How is it possible she isn't in the rock hall? Live here and putting up signs on every corner. WAY past time.
Same reason Ted Nugent isn't in the HOF...politics. That organization doesn't really care about musical talent...they just want artists that tow the line.
No tats,no weird hair,no showing of her body, she just rocks out with pure badass 80s style and confidence..she was the best
Just 40lbs of makeup!
You know, it'd be nice to see Neil play this solo. I love pat, but a change scenery ain't bad either. Neil is an unsung hero of the 80s.
i miss this era
All hail the real Queen of Rock forever!!!
I LOVED Pat Benatar during the 80's. Remember rocking out to "Love is a Battlefield" at my high school formal. But this was a lesser known song that I REALLY loved.
That's not rock nor was it written by her
This is the song that made me a lifetime fan of PB.
This song kicks ass and Neil's solos are the best.
My all time fav. Singer. Ever
What a goddess.
Gr8 sound with Pat's voice and that band with those kick ass guitars and drums. That was rock not some wimpy crap that some bands in the 80's had and tried to pass off as rock.
So beautiful with her high cheekbones and big eyes.
Underrated tune.
I love this video. Almost like a stalker song, but she's standing her ground and singing this so beautifully.
Fucking LOVE this. The MOOD. Nobody does "mood" anymore.
God this video takes me back to the early 80's and early MTV!! I had forgotten about this song. I loved this song yet somehow had forgotten it. So glad to rediscover this! Thanks for posting it.
truly head and shoulders above all others
Wow, I miss this. The old days.
She was just made for the MTV video era. ❤️
As a kid first seeing this , I was mesmerized . Great artistry
Just another great tune from a great artist. I always liked how they let the guitar play this song out. Cool video, too.
KING KRUSH Her Husband plays lead !!!! What a singer, what a guitar player, what a band what a video, shall I go on??????????? What performers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KING KRUSH Agreed
I just fell in love all over again.
Great Guitar work on this track as well. Little known fact; Neil played guitar on "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield.
She definitely has it all
My high school in 1981 had three teenage Ladies who emulated The Pat Benatar look. Charlene Ballou had the style, mannerisms, and look. Tracy Conn had the attitude, physique and facial looks. Good classic music. She was awesome in concert.
One of my favorites of hers!
What can I say she's my all time fav. Singer !!!
YOU ROCK Pat
All Children MATTER... I will lay my life down for the kids in my Community
Audio quality just like when I used to watch those early MTV videos. Mono and low-fidelity.
Yeah, those were the days.
But Pat can't dance. Never could.
LOL but the voice.
Beyonce can dance... can't see Pat's range ever. Fair trade for Pat.
I love you Patricia!!
still my all time fave of her stuff!
The stalkers theme song...
One of my favs.............

One of her best.
This song NEEDS to be in GTA VI
The neon tunnel you see at 0:50 would later be seen in the video for Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam's 1987 song "Head to Toe".
Sweet Charity - Seri Di Hari Raya

@maxcomehomenow
MTV definitely helped make her. I remember the early days. In that first year of MTV it seemed like every third video was one of her numbers.
I Love her. But I also love Neils guitar playing.

Still with you Pat! Eyes the ebbs of dark oak and honey. No way to turn away!
@pinz2022 True, MTV may've helped them, But, My friends and I were listening to Crimes of Passion in '78 or '79 way before MTV. and Rockin' out.
same the HARI RAYA song!!whoa...what a surprise
She said it's all "fabrication". She's just ACTING. She's really a sweet mom who likes cooking in the kitchen (yea right!) LOL
Besides Pat Benatar (my personal favorite) there were other great female rockers like Lita Ford, Suzy Quatro and Joan Jett, all were very good!
I'm gonna follow you 3
