    Good review, lots of detail. 0-100 is actually pretty quick and worth testing.

    The model is the sweet spot, it looks good, the colour and wheel combo is great.

      It about as good as you can get from any car maker.

    In other countries you get the option of the black trims rather than silver. Personally I prefer the black trim as it gives it a more subtle look and that is what you want from a VW. Subtle but elegant. Recently the design of their cars have been trending towards the being eye catching.

      We get those models here also. The versions here with black trim are called "Wolfsberg Edition"

      Do you mean the black edition, with the blacked out grill?

      You may like the Cupra Formentor which is a T-Roc R/SQ2 mechanical clone, due in Australia next year. I think we are still getting T-Roc R but not till next upgrade O/S.

    Being from Brazil, I do not understand why Aussies like ANGRY cars. Is that an anglo thing. Please explain… Thank you.

    The one thing that I don't enjoy is when someone say the temperature is cold or hot which has ambiguous meaning. When someone says freezing, does that mean 32/0 degrees? Does the VW have an outside temp? Please say the temp, to remove any ambiguity.
    Anyway, the touch controls are not fine since nobody asked for them and they don't make changing the temperature any easier. In fact, its more difficult and you don't have anywhere to rest your palm. Imagine being elderly and on a bumpy road.
    One more thing, that shifter is obsolete. Its way past time for the shifter bag to go. That's what VW should have changed instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. Give me more flexible/adjustable seat choices. These do not have "loads" of thigh support as that knee gap shows your thighs are not supported. After a half day cross country you'd certainly feel the knee pain. That's the type of thing that improves the driving experience.
    Especially for someone 6'4 like me. Another idea would be a GoPro mount and plug since more and more people are putting cameras in their cars. I'd certainly pay an optional fee for prewiring.

      Very true. Although that applies to most new cars at the moment! Chip shortage is impacting lots of brand

    Metric system in Australia began in 1971 (50 years ago) and you still quote your height in foot and inches. I don't have any clue what is 6'3 in your height.

      How about in the UK they buy fuel in litres but still quote miles per gallon!

    • @krane15
      @krane15 2 роки тому

      @@davidperry3531 I'm guessing its because the state of Texas is bigger than the UK, and they get a lot more viewers from the U.S. than the UK. Its metric in most of the world, but Canadian channels just use an overlay with the conversion for price and fuel economy.

    • @davidperry3531
      @davidperry3531 2 роки тому

      @@krane15 It would be great if every country could start using the Metric system which is the only one that makes sense.

    I really hope they grow out of this touch garbage cause for me it has ruined the cars, and as a result the Tiguan is off the shopping list and the Ateca is on. I want buttons.

    This car is just the 162tsi elegance with the R badge its not the full blown R model.

    • @krane15
      @krane15 2 роки тому +1

      Correction: there is an R-Line (cosmetic), and an R (performance). The R for the R-Line is traced. While its fill in for the R performance.
