This second blowout loss in a row felt so bad. I had never seen this team look that vulnerable. Then obviously game 4 and 5 felt like everything was back to normal. But if Detroit hadn't waited for SA to smack them in the face twice before they buckled down they coulda won that 2nd title this year. SA was just sharper form start to finish which is what they always do. But damn I hated that team for years.
I just totally admired the Spurs after this game. They figured it out on how to play "mano a mano" against one of the best defensive NBA team in the history.
The poor perimeter defense is the reason why Detroit lost this series. Billups, Hamilton, and Prince couldn't cover Ginobilli and Parker. They left Ben, Sheed, and McDyess hanging out to dry.
