First 2-2 tied finals series that went tied at halftime in Game 5. Of course I am not surprised. This was such a great series between 2 closely matched teams. Two great teams going at it. One of the best series of all time.
Horry is one of the most clutch players in NBA history. Also, the NBA needs to start allowing players to play defense like this again. I don't blame today's players for the lack of D. I play the NBA and the refs. It's so much more fun to watch a guy score when you know he's scoring over physical rough defense in my opinion.
Many wanted Heat-Suns in the Finals (or at least one of them at least), and many were very disappointed when they both lost to the Pistons-Spurs in the conference finals. Plus, not many were excited for a low-scoring Spurs-Pistons finals. I mean, in games 1 and games 7, neither team scored 90 points. And the first 4 games of these Finals were boring blow-outs. But games 5-6-7 of these Finals were intense.
Wow.. I remember watching these finals when i was in college. The intensity and the defense were unmatched. Great finals... Big shot Bob saved the Spurs this game 5.
I can't find the interview anywhere, but Tim Duncan basically said "he doesn't care for 55 minutes of the game, but in that last 5 minutes hes deadly" or something to that effect
Horry soo clutch like wow rocket Laker and spur fans need to thank him for excellent 3 point shooting and great d. I'm sure he thanks his coaches too !
The level of defence in this game is insane. Almost every single shot is a contested high difficulty shot. It feels like watching a completely different game from today’s.
This pistons have the worst luck I swear to god. They were a phantom call away from 3 peating from 88-90, maybe even a 4 peat if Isiah doesn’t throw the ball to Bird in 87 but I won’t even go there. Then Rasheed decides to not guard the guy called big shot bob for a back 2 back. It hurts so bad.
I remember watching this whole series. This game may well have been game 7. SA stealing that buzzer-beater victory on the road took the soul right out of Detroit. U could tell in games 6and7
Big shot.....not luck, the brother came through more than he struggled!!! His peers credit him as being clutch and securing their championship legacies!!!
This was the ultimate hardhat series for Duncan he saw them through but Det’s defense was not a favorable matchup for him. Against teams of that era like PHX or Dallas he made it look so easy but this was something all together different he had to be ok with being less efficient. Even against the Lakers which was the team I feared Duncan still got his and traded shots with Shaq, Diesel had the teams 00-02 but I knew Duncan was one of the Greatest ever 03 West Semis it gets underplayed but if you look at the 03 Spurs that team needed another year or two to become a Champion but LA had turmoil and Duncan acted unphased the whole series and was best player on the court as Magic Johnson said. The next two series in 03 the Spurs really didn’t play their best but Duncan landed the plane and that was the most special Championship to me because what came next was TP becoming an Killer and Manu of the 05 vintage who really was the best offensive player on SA vs Det but seeing Duncan operate in 03 was my favorite Basketball ever.
I'm a spurs fan so I loved it but what was Rasheed thinking? Larry brown literally told everyone no 3's, make your man drive inside for a 2 but Rasheed slept on Robert horry and they couldn't recover.
Not necessarily. They were tied in game 7 after 3 quarters. Yes, it would have made it easier had they won this game 5 at home and only having to win one road game instead of two road games, but they were still in control in both games 6 and 7.
Damn, Sheed was fucking up all throughout the clutch. Bad closeout on Horry in the final minutes of regulation, not handing off to Chauncey for a last shot, and then the game ending miscue.
The Pistons, with this core and with their defensive mindset, they would have benefitted better in drafting Chris Bosch instead of Melo. Since Bosh would have fitted better with the Pistons gameplan
I know, the players you dont leave open in that situation are the Spurs 3-point-shooters. Ginobili - Horry - Bowen. There is no need to doubleteam anyone in that situation up by 2.

I'd say great series because my team came out on top but the first four games were blowouts. Not entertaining unless you're a fan of the team
Great series? Heck no. Outside of this game, the rest of the series was awful
I can see 5 big plays from robert horry in this game: momentum breaking shots, equalizers, and the biggest shot.
This was probably the best game in Robert Horry's career!!!He was so clutch he literally saved the season for the Spurs and on the ROAD
Saved the season? Even going down 3-2 at the time the spurs would've had games 6 and 7 at home.
Definitely his best game, he was amazing.
@@crazylegs1324Detroit won Game 6.
@@hectordiaz1575 yes I know they did. What I’m saying is if the spurs lost game 5 they probably win game 6 at home.

One of the forgotten great finals games of all time
true, honestly 2005 nba in general is forgettable for some reason like i didnt know pistons went back to back in the finals lol
@@james-rl4wz i just found out today they made 6 ecfs in a row lol wtf

No it isn't
Robert Horry "Big Shot Bob" should be in the hall of fame with this performance.
Wow.. I remember watching these finals when i was in college. The intensity and the defense were unmatched. Great finals... Big shot Bob saved the Spurs this game 5.
That wasn’t great defense. It was terrible offense
damn!! ginobili still amazes us up to this date 💪🔥
IMMENSE GRATITUDE!
Robert Horry is GOAT of clutch time
I can't find the interview anywhere, but Tim Duncan basically said "he doesn't care for 55 minutes of the game, but in that last 5 minutes hes deadly" or something to that effect
Big Shot Bob!
It’s time to play if I remember correctly
Horry soo clutch like wow rocket Laker and spur fans need to thank him for excellent 3 point shooting and great d. I'm sure he thanks his coaches too !
Out of all the spurs titles the piston s were there toughest opponent in all their final game which they almost lost the game to the pistons!
Robert Horry was crazy clutch in this one
And in a lot more
Tim Duncan and Rasheed Wallace went at each other all series long. There simply is no more low or mid post players in today's NBA.
08:54 summary of this series. war of titans
The level of defence in this game is insane. Almost every single shot is a contested high difficulty shot. It feels like watching a completely different game from today’s.
Horry deserved to be the MVP of this NBA FInals
Let's not get crazy ok, it's Duncan unanimously
Sorry buddy, over 7 games Duncan was the difference maker
Ginobili was the real mvp
@@melvynsngltn27not another one
Big shot Bob!
big shot ROB, no Bob
@@nicolasf1409 Actually, the nickname for Horry is also Big Shot Bob, since Bob is a nickname for Rob/Robert.
One of the best games ever
If Horry doesn’t make that shot the Pistons win the series in 6 games. Completely changed everything
Greatest Finals Ever
Damn Rasheed really fucked them on that inbounds play, he still one of the greatest ever. But what a tough loss they had that game
Back when the NBA was good
Thank you for posting this! Can you post more 2004 Pistons highlights? Not necessarily from that season, but highlights for that team.

Robert Horry Unconscious is DEADLY
15-18 points in the 4th quarter…are you kidding me
If Detroit drafted LITERALLY ANYONE instead of Darko they would've won this series.
What a game for horry that's his best game for sure
Dammit Sheed :(
I remember watching this whole series. This game may well have been game 7. SA stealing that buzzer-beater victory on the road took the soul right out of Detroit. U could tell in games 6and7
Pistons won game 6 lol
This might have been the greatest game i ever watched that didn't involve Micheal Jordan 👀💯
Horry saved SAS this game, but Tim plays for 2 grown ass men. He`s incredible
Horry's Big three to finish the 3rd quarter and O.T are the true daggers in this game.
Amazing Finals! Last 2 Champions. But the Pistons made 1 mistake, and that's all a great team like the Spurs to capitalize on
Real Basketball...
Big shot.....not luck, the brother came through more than he struggled!!! His peers credit him as being clutch and securing their championship legacies!!!

Detroit was a really good defensive team. But Spurs just had too much fire power.
I'm a spurs fan so I loved it but what was Rasheed thinking? Larry brown literally told everyone no 3's, make your man drive inside for a 2 but Rasheed slept on Robert horry and they couldn't recover.

The Robert Horry Game. Nuff said.
The one good game in an otherwise unwatchable series
I can’t stand Robert Horry to this day because of this game!
I hated the original Bad Boys. But these guys were really GOOD
What's up with the audio?
what`s wrong?
+NBA in 10 Minutes its messed up
the timing is off for most of the 2nd half
wow
I thought i saw kevin hart on the thumbnail lol! 😂😂😂
After watching this - Robert Horry should get into the HOF.
Manu destoy this soar team
Shouldn't have left Horry open, it's that simple
With his resume...that's just huge mistakes
Man, I love Al Michaels for football but he seemed so disinterested calling the NBA in the mid-00's
Yo wtf why have I never heard of horry that was a clutchhh game
Bad flashbacks.

go spurs go 🌵
the 99 03 05 07 and 14 spurs weren't as elite as the 89 and 90 pistons

This was the worst 7 game NBA Finals of all time
DEEEEEEEEETROITTTTTT BASKETTTTTTBALLLLLLLLLLLLL
Rasheed Wallace lost this game for the Pistons.. why did he double at the last play leaving one the clutchest shot maker wide open LOL

What's with the fuckin delay?
Horry was way better than irving and ray allen combined.
