Yes Larry Brown failed to utilize the bench reserves. Carlos Delfino would've been the title saver! Manu Ginoboli can't stop him so that's how he took advantage of the mis match. With Delfino, Hamilton and Billups as the off guards with Delfino at point scoring guard, the 2 Wallace s and the prince substitute through defensive sets, Detroit would've been up by 3 games winning the series 4-2. Larry Brown only rotation was McDyess, Hunter, and Arroyo. Game 4 He decided to roll with Darko Milicic but only because Detroit was up 22 points in the 4th.
