    Hey guys, today I am breaking down the best plasma cutters in the $300, $500, $700, $1000, $1500 and $2000 price ranges. There is a big difference in build quality, cut quality, parts, consumables, customer service etc between all of these machines. In this video, I break down what you can expect from these different price ranges and what machines we recommend based on your budget.
    The real sweet spot I find in these plasma cutters is the $500-$700 price point for weekend warriors. These machines have some fantastic performance for the price and they will serve you well. If you're a bit more serious about your tools or work in a professional environment I would strongly recommend stepping up to the $1500 or $2000 price range for a Hypertherm machine (if you need dual voltage go Powermax30 XP, if not go Powermax45 XP).

    Hi! Awesome video. Thank you. I am brand new to plasma cutters. I’m looking for one in the 200-500 dollar range to cut steel car rims. I do not have any 220 outlets though. I also have a smaller sized air compressor. Any suggestions for me? Thank you

    What is a good lower end cutter that will work with a plasma table? Do I need one with a cnc port?

    I spent like a $100 few years ago for Cut50. went well till I had to replace a power switch. Then upgraded to Cut60 for free. Nice big torch. Expect good life out of these on 240V. Consumables are super cheap.
    Very highly recommended for the price point.

    I bought the LOTOS LTP5000D and after 5 months of using it a couple times a month it now draws over 70 amps and blows the 50 AMP breaker both in my shop and on my gas 12,000 watt generator. It's beyond it's 90 day warranty so basically a boat anchor. I'm going to buy a Hobart or Hypertherm. I had a Hobart for years and sold it which was a big mistake.

    The other pluses the Primeweld 60 gives is it has a port for control by a cnc machine, and is a blowback type touch less start. High frequency pilot arc apparently doesn’t play well with electronics (like on a cnc cutting table).

    Loved my powermax 30 until it just stopped working after I had it for a little over a year. They do not replace components. Required a $800+ main board. Very disappointing.

    Great video! The 3 negative things I hear about cheap plasma cutters are they don't last long,a very poor operator manual and no costumer service. Does it cost more to fix a 6 month old machine than what its worth? Even at $200,is it considered a throw away item when it quits? I have 2 working hours on my $200 machine,spent 3 hours trying to diagnose the problem and got nowhere. I don't have alot of knowledge in this area.

      Yes. It only pulls 10-20 amps. It's the output that is 60 amps.

    Often I read plasma should be supplied with dry air. Most have a gadget forming part of the machine capturing the humidity. You did not say if any had this

    Whats up with the Amico Plasma cutters??

    • @edstimator1
      @edstimator1 3 роки тому

      I've got an Amico cut 60. works real good. Had an issue with the torch and they replaced it as fast as the mail could deliver it. no questions asked other than what is it doing. Bamm! New upgraded torch at the front door three days later. Lincoln took three weeks for a shorted part order to be replaced. I guess you can have shitty customer service if you charge three times as much for the same product?

      Good luck finding anything from miller or lincoln even worth buying for under $2000. Miller's cheapest cutter right now is like $1600 and it only cuts up to 3/8 mild steel.

    I was expecting some shitty voice over video from some Indian kid who’s never used any of these products but just takes the top 10 reviews and copy and pasted their descriptions.
    But I this was a great video. I agree the Prime weld cutters like their welders are unbeatable under $1,000
