great respect to GORGUTS !! and big thanks for upload ! I was going to be there, unfortunately haven't made it. Hope to get another chance in not to distant future
It wasn't Longstreth, it was the drummer from Beneath the Massacre (and Cephalic Carnage at the moment too) behind the kit for the euro dates. Killer dude, and really nice to boot!
Been my fav band since appearing on that Monsters Of Death compilation CD when it came out. The Erosion came out and it hasn't really been topped since. But then Colored Sands came out and it's another level of majesty and darkness.
Amazing gig! Was there just at the other side of the stage (my usual spot), and it was historic 'cause didn't/don't know how long it will be till til they tour here again (hopefully not too long). Thanks.
Luc didn't write all of the material himself. He said in an interview that him, steve hurdle, and steve cloutier pretty much wrote equal parts of music.
Hm, maybe. Gorguts always sounded weird, but less atmospheric. I think Ulcerate definitely was influenced by Gorguts, but the song just kind of sounds like Ulcerate. I don't know if they listen or took influences from Ulcerate, but it just reminds me of their clean passages.
one of the best bands in metal, period.
Luc Lemay could write a song with nothing but tritones and make it catchy and interesting.
@Aydin Soren no ones gives a shit neck yourself

Did you see the bizarre guitar playing for Obscura? I never thought that riff was that complex from listening to the album. Gorguts are the best.
When do they play Obscura?

Luc Lemay has some of the most unique and distinct vocals in all of death metal.
It wasn't Longstreth, it was the drummer from Beneath the Massacre (and Cephalic Carnage at the moment too) behind the kit for the euro dates. Killer dude, and really nice to boot!
