- In this video you will learn how to make an Aspirin spray that will help your tomato plants greatly. I list 3 benefits your plants will get because of the Aspirin spray. I also shoe how to apply the spray on your plants. When using any spray it is best to spray one plant and wait 24 hrs before spraying all other plants. At the end of the video I gave a bonus tip on why I believe I did not have any tomatoes to Crack at the bottom last year like I have had in the past.
Thanks I was getting ready to do this. So this video was right on time
HEY Kerry!!! Cool. I'm glad it was right on time. I just did it again yesterday, and I had to prune. I hope your tomatoes do great.
Thanks for the tip!!!!

My first year growing tomatoes..I'm going to try this
Hello Chicago MRS, cool I hope your tomato plants do well. Let me know how it goes.
Love your video and info, thank you. QUESTION: Since tomatoes and peppers are in the night shade family(fruit ripens at night), do you think peppers 🌶 🫑 would benefit from the aspirin spray/application as well ? 😊
HELLO Cindy Cow, thanks for saying that. You made my day. The youtuber I follow said it only works for Tomatoes but I googled it and it said it works for peppers too. I guess I'm about to spray them too. Thanks for your question, you just taught me something new. HEY google does the Aspirin spray work for other plants and you will see it say other night shade plants too .
@@GrowSomethingTasty Can you give an update on if they worked for peppers? Just got my sprayer in the mail today and gave my tomatoes their first spray of aspirin btw.
@@IronDruids how did it go?
@@adecomby5049 Hard to tell since I didn't have a control. Both were pest free the whole year. It's so easy to drop a tablet in while follliage feeding that I'm going to keep doing it.
@@adecomby5049 Oh right. I sprayed my potatoes too since they are a nightshade. If it helped them any it wasn't enough. They had potato beetles on them all year.
Awesome!
Very quickly...is this solution same with Epsom salts please?
HEY, Inubaye!!! I don't think it works the same. I think the Epsom salt deals with plant color and helps plants become bushy.
Do you have to use it all as you make the solution or can you make enough for several sprays? My question is does the solution dilute too much if it sits for a couple of weeks? Thanks!!
HEY, JstcoutryGirl!!! I just leave it in there until it's used up. I just label my sprayer. If some is left over, I save it for the next 2 weeks of spraying
@@GrowSomethingTasty Awesome!! Thank you so much!!
May I as what MG of Aspirin are you using?
HEY Tonya!!! I have aspirin that is 325 mg each..
How u hear about wicking tubs
HELLO AL, I am doing well. How are you? I have not about them. How does it work?
Hey Mr. Brown, can we use the aspirin spray on watermelon vine?
HEY, Elaine!!! I have not heard that it works on any other plant. They have done scientific studies on the aspirin
effect on tomato plants.
Thank you
How often do you spray?
HELLO Awkward Human, you can apply the spray every 2 weeks. Let me know how your tomatoes turn out!
Can i mix it with pesticides??
HELLO George, I have no idea. I don't use pesticides. If I come across the answer, I'll send you a message. Now, if you have a lot of tomato plants, you could try it with one to see how it takes. If it seems good, then you can apply it to tue others. That's if you want to try it.
@@GrowSomethingTasty thanx mate ..
I thought wood chip mulch robbed the plants of nitrogen?
HEY, Da D!!! They only do that if you mix it into the soil. As it's breaking down, you get great compost. When it rains, it is like getting compost tea to all your plants. I love it and the plants love it more.
Isn't the purpose of using the method to avoid pesticides? Which a harmful
HEY Betty!!! The purpose is to make the plant stronger to fight off pest pressure and disease. The leaves may become stronger as well. The plant thinks it's under attack, and it releases a hormone to make the plant stronger. I'm not using pesticides. Google the effects of aspirin spray on tomato plants.
