I'm from Manchester, and I was 16 in '89... there's a few right things, and a few wrong things in this video. I personally don't know anyone who wore their parents' bell bottoms or made their own tie-dye tops 🤣 what you did get right was yes, this movement was very working class and yes, all these groups had their own look (if you're a band who needs a stylist, you're not being yourselves.) id say that sartorially, The Happy Mondays were more on point, the Roses were pastiches of that look
