I have become a big fan of Geoff. I love a good bass, and he is beyond good. This song is special to me, and now Geoff's version is my favorite forever. Thank you for this reaction. I love a music reactor who truly understands music and analysis are superior to others who just nod their head and say "oh that's nice, I liked that." Tell us why you like it.
I am a music teacher and bass singer... and even I am seriously blown away by Geoff. I have worked with some amazing voices... but none who can showcase such range at-will. My range is A1-C5, been doing this for 30 years and still look in awe at people like Geoff, Avi Kaplan, and Tim Foust.
Geoff's cover of 16 tons is insanely good. He's so incredibly nimble with his vocals. Up and down through the octaves like a ping pong ball. Lol! Great reaction as always!
Jacob! I'm so happy you came back to the acapella artists! I love this version of Country Roads! It's different, fresh, and ... well ... it's Geoff singing! As you probably know, Geoff sings the lead and all the harmonies, so he has to make multiple recordings. It wouldn't surprise me if he also stacked the bass. My fav part is around 3:50, where he goes subterranean and the harmonies go pretty high. I love that contrast! At the end, he went so low that he scared the poor calf away!! Please, react to Geoff's 'Sixteen Tons', and VoicePlay's 'My Mother Told Me'. Thanks for this reaction, Jacob!
Very nice reaction! I love hearing your breakdowns on what you're hearing - it's a nice switch to hear someone with a performance background talk about things from an informed perspective. I'm pretty sure the bass you heard was vocal - he uses a plugin for the guitar and drums, but I'm pretty sure he sings his bass.
0 seconds ago Geoff Castellucci released a new video yesterday morning. The Rains of Castamere from Game to Thrones. He portrays the Lannister men. His best by far.
About a month ago I was at my local Best Buy, and suggested to the greeter to put this over the front door speakers, poor kid suffered whiplash when he heard those low notes
He has the best enunciation of any bass singer I have ever heard. I don't know how low he can go but I have heard he do a G1 that's 49 Hz... The lowest voice on record is less than a Hz which we can not ever hear.
Yes! Love this vid!! Please react to VoicePlay’s cover of “My mother told me”
Thanks!
Check out 16 tons by Geoff next

You gotta react to Voiceplay's cover of "Thinkin About Ya"
Yes PLEASE!!!!,
Definitely, so good and so underrated!
Yes! Not many people react to that one
Geoff also has a few poetry readings just recently posted to YT, such as Kiplings 'If'
The background is him singing
🔥
Peter Hollens and Adam Chance (of Home Free) have also just released a cover of this song
It was awesome!!

Glad u enjoyed!
Could be him doing the bass guitar sound overlaid. He does normally do a bass guitar sound on VoicePlay numbers.
It's totally normal for Geoff to dump it into the depths of Vesuvius
