Hi! When I run the master macro. My flood (epix strips) remain on and the fader has no control over them. I have all instances mapped to the SymRig as well. Everything else remains controlled by the faders.
Hey, Thanks for your comment! This sounds as if there is an issue with the fixture profile itself. If you edit the fixture profile, you can check if "Master" is set to "Grand" for all real and virtual dimmer attributes. This should normally always be the case, otherwise the fixtures will not respond to Group or Grand Masters. I recommend checking that first! Please let us know if this was the problem :-)
just a question. When you put your fixtures with subfixtures in the Pixel Masters group, do you use it only for fixed fixtures like the pixel tubes, or moving fixtures aswell like washes and lasers?
Hey! Thanks for your question. No, you can also use this principle for Tilt Bars, etc... Then you simply have to keep that in mind, that those Pixel Master Groups (which normally contain the Pan / Tilt in this scenario...) should be used in the position FX recipes accordingly (instead of the SymRig Groups). We have also a hint on that in our manual :-)
This is not a problem at all, you can simply add as many fixtures as you want in the patch. The showfile works with any number of fixtures. Just add all of them in the patch, then adjust the groups (with the selection grid) and presets and you're done.
@@mblightarts thx for the fast answer! I also noticed you used the same fixture ID also when deleting and adding spots. Can I just use my own numbering of the fixtures as well?
You're welcome! Of course, you can choose the fixture IDs as you like. We only use our usual standard pattern here. But this has no influence on the showfile at all.
Hey there, if your color presets were Universal wouldn't newly patched fixtures already be able to use them instead of having to Store + Merge all the colors? Why do you use Global?
Hey, thanks for your question! You're right, of course. However, we don't see much practical sense in it, as you have to adjust / fine-tune each fixture type individually for uniform colours anyway. We also did this for the demo stage fixtures with the demo patch. That's why it's already the default setting in the file. However, you could now save those presets as universal for your own base file to start from. That would result in the behaviour you described :-)
Great video, When you want to replace a fixture what button or where did you click to replace the fixture. Is it als compatible with version 1.9 thank you
Hey! Thanks a lot for your comment! :-) Just select the appropriate fixtures in the column of fixture types and then click the enter key on your keyboard, the right mouse button or the right rotary encoder wheel on your console. There will be an update for MA3 version 1.9 in about two weeks. At the moment it is not fully supported.
Hey There, I have used your colorpicker for well over a year now, and I think its great, I picked up this show file, and am trying to adapt it into a club that I work in, but would really like to have more than 5 groups generated, as there are times when I want only the stage, or the whole club. In your first video about this, you mentioned it is possible to use this with more than 5 groups, but it is never explained how you add additional groups that the master macro will work with. Just curious as to how that will work, because that would be a big help for me. Thanks!
Hey Taylor! Thank you very much for your comment and the question. It is not that easy to create a flexible amount of groups yet. But we will introduce more groups in the future. Probably 7 or 8 groups which will be capable of all the effects (so also movements, etc for each group). What already works is to use more groups for the color picker. To do this, you simply have to adjust the color picker via the "Customize" menu afterwards or you have to change the initial build settings in the first popup of the color picker. Towards the end of the year, we may release our script that builds the showfile. With this you can then theoretically create as many groups as you want. But then it will quickly become very messy.
Thanks for including Astera tubes !
Big help for me !
Many thanks for your comment.
Glad to hear that this feature helps you!

Hi! What about trusses with 16 of the same fixturetypes instead of 12. Can you just add more in the patch then? Thx!

@@mblightarts allright! Looking forward to the 1.9 update 🙂 Thx and all the best!
Thanks! 1.9 update is already ready for download with our version 1.2.6 :-)
The UA-cam video will follow today.
