While a comeback for the series seemed impossible, Budokai Tenkaichi is essentially back with Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO. Launching on October 11th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, it features an even bigger roster, brand new modes like Episode Battle and Custom Battle, an Edit Mode for creating and sharing scenarios, and much more.

Just turned 40 this year and DBZ was life back in high school, somehow I missed all the Budokai Tenkaichi games but with Toriyama's passing and feeling like I need a recap on all the sagas it's time to jump into this game series.

I would agree but I have zero interest in gta6 played gta for the first time and didn’t enjoy it at all but this will hold me off till something comes out but I’m waiting till the actual release since there’s always bugs of server issues in any game that has online so by the time it comes out for ppl like me we get to see if there are any issues or if they have been fixed or see if that game is even better then people thought. 😊 can’t wait
The first Budokai Tenchaichi was actually the very first video game I ever bought with my own money. It gave me so many lasting memories. Now that I'm 32, it feels like a full circle moment. I can't wait to start playing.

Budokai tenkaichi 3 brought me into the dragonball franchise. I watched the series because i liked the game so much. This is the first pre order i have in years. Ultimate Edition as well.

I never played budokai tenkaichi 3 with my only dbz exp comes from budokai 3 on ps2 which i never got to finish. Im turning 31 in few days and i have one last chance to relive the lost moment through this game.

Nope, you just dont unlock them from the start if you dont preorder the standard version. The deluxe comes with the dlc but they arent out yet.
I never played budikai tenchaienchi 3 but the reverce he talks about that game is how me and my brother felt about budikai tenchaienchi 2 and that game was amazing. And this guy just sold me on this game and will be picking it up on release

Custom Battle is going to be the greatest thing any DBZ game has ever had. Can't wait!
It honestly looks insane with the amount of options it has, the only thing I wish (but I can see why they didnt do) is custom dialoge. Could have made some cool what if stories with that. Still it looks awesome.

Raging blast 2 is the best in the series trust me! Its downfall was coming out during A TIME DBZ GAME FATIGUE AND MOST PPL MISSED OR SKIPPED IT . But its combat is the best by far until this title at least that’s what I’m seeing and expecting in practice

I gotta wait some more and see what the reviews are like for people playing the multiplayer, not having rollback is a severe blow to my interest when local only has HTC, from what i've heard from outlets the multiplayer is laggy and that's a deal breaker for full price, but I need to see what players feel.
I think my only complaint is that there’s like 8 versions of goku as different characters. Those slots could’ve been used as other characters and the others could’ve been relegated to costumes
Thats not true, theres no such thing as a wasted character slot, if theyre were less gokus there would just be less overall character, and if they had the time to make more characters they probably would have
I do understand that, they have like 17 versions of goku in the game, but I can see why they did that with the whole BP system. You can start off with lets say ssj3 goku, but he cost more BP than base Goku Z, so you have less characters, or just weaker ones (less BP) that you can use in a match. But while fighting you can turn base into ssj3 with skill points and not use so much BP in your roster.
I guess a better example is that starting as lets say Gogeta cost more BP than base goku and vegeta combined. So yeah you can start as the fusion, but then you lose out on that BP and can only have like 1 or 2 weaker characters in your roster, instead of going base and getting a few more BP for a better character to fill out your team.

If you played the game or actually put hours into the previous games then you'd know you're wrong.
Sparking Zero will probably have the most gameplay depth out of any arena fighter.
This game isn't going to be as in depth as thinks like DB Fighterz, Tekken or Street Fighter but it's definitely not a spam fest. There are numerous defensive options, different combo routes, two melee attack buttons etc

Yes this was confirmed months ago, local multiplayer was never planned originally but they made it work when they heard the fans response
There's no doubt this game has a lot of effort put into it. Which also means there's a lot riding on it. But just because it's a Dragon Ball game, doesn't mean it can't fail. Look at Star Wars Outlaws or Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Lastly, the fact you didn't bring up Metaphor: ReFantazio proves how much you underestimate RPGs. Like how you all shafted Visions of Mana.
The game is amazing. It takes a second to learn and will take another second to master the close combat, but it’s great.

You cant play split screen. Which is why we all loved the original series on ps2. I mean, yes, you can play one map with split screen but that was added as an after thought. This game is plagued with dlc, preorder bonuses, and probably micro transactions. Its going to sell well, but i give it a few days before everyone is tearing it apart.
I’m not terrible at the game but the difficulty between fights is wild lol one will be a fun fight and the very next fight you’re getting the diddy special without the baby oil.
