i think this cluster is the same on the 02. having a hell of a time with parasitic load and i'm hoping some repair like this will sort it out. found some out of spec resistors that are encouraging
i personally like to drag solder these type of packages with a hoof tip. the smd stuff is tricky but i find that almost anything can be done with that tip
I have a check gages light on my 06dodge ram 3500 5.9L. That just started the other day. The tach seems to be off from time to time, it will show red line when I know is below 3k rpm. My shift points are typically 2500-3000rpm. This issue has gone on for quite some time. I’d be interested in doing this fix but I don’t know the process of removing the unit from the dash.
