I was about to pat myself on the back for being one out of only five people in the world, but then I realized I'm not one of those five, because I didn't struggle to decide. How many are there like me?
The Porsche Cayman GT4 RS is what I consider my dream car, no hypercar, no 1000 horsepower... Just what a modern sport car should be, somewhere between purity and perfection.
For 300k I would like 1000 hp to its 2023 with ev knocking on the door🤣. That to me is purity and perfection. Probably would pick the faster gt3, I can always make the exhaust sound better because to me they aren’t equipped with enough power anyways.
@@joshreynolds729 The exhausts sound the same between the 2. It’s the induction noise that is way louder on the GT4 RS because the air box is literally a foot from your head. Exhaust would help but induction is what you experience the most as a driver.
Food holding capacity of the rear spoiler is my second most important consideration when purchasing a car, right after how many racoons fit in the left front wheel well.
This is a great format. I spent time in both cars last year in the Italian Alps and found the GT3 more planted and more settled, however the GT4 RS put a bigger smile on my face. If you need a car to use daily you'd have to go for the GT3 but if you want the ultimate road car for weekends and special occasions the GT4 RS would be my choice.
@@caideebecause a bunch of children and dudes who never even driven the car like to pretend they understand what is and isn’t the best car for every category. I guarantee most people making these sorts of assumptions haven’t driven either of these around a track a single time.

due to the car's size and weight, the smaller and lighter yellow Porsche will be faster on smaller, more technical tracks, where the weight and agility of the car are also important
Both cars are awesome, however I would also choose the GT3 aswell. Did anyone notice when matt was on track with GT4 RS, the HAND BRAKE light was on lol
@@racer4199 No it isn't low tyre pressure. Porsche's low tyre pressure warning light has a different icon than that. It's a brake proportioning fault, which COULD be serious, but is most likely set when the system gets confused because the driver is hard on the gas and the brake pedals at the same time. In which case nothing is actually wrong, and the fault can be cleared with any of the usual methods.
The GT3 RS is my next car goal once my business is financially stable and things are going well, at the end of the day, you can’t go wrong with either car. Both are phenomenal cars!!
Wonderful races !!! for the GT4 RS and for the GT3 and GT3 RS, there is no better test than 2 or 3 laps on a good track. The 911 GT3 RS or the 911 S/T look so amazing with their wide body .

I drove both at the same day on a track in Brazil and had the same impression. GT3 was the best Porsche I ever had drive and GT4 RS have a non supportable noise, for me, and I preferred in the same day, drive the 911 GTS that have in my opinion a better balance that GT4RS. i like this video ,,,, there are a lot of discussion in GT4RS forum about wheels alignment for track setting and tyre choice that makes huge difference in confidence and balance as if Porsche intentionally made that

Honestly this was amazing video, you made it really interesting, the lap analysis for example and oh, by the way, very impressed with Mat's times - Spa is a long circuit so there's lot of time to be lost compared to a racing driver.
What an amazing video. Can't wait for more of these. I really hate how much time these take, cause I want them weekly for real Almost getting emotional
The reality is the 4RS is the better car of the two. However it was always intended to not overshadow the 911, thus the narrower track, less power and so on. Despite the mid engine chassis, the 4RS will be the more historic car relative to a normal GT3. The 3RS is of course an entirely different ballgame
There is s reason Porsche scrapped the MacPherson struts in the front of the 992 GT3 (and on the race cars long before that). The GT4 as struts front and back which is not ideal on a sports car.
