KEV623V was a 1979 blue Alfa Romeo that was last taxed until september 1985. The number is still technically allocated to it, but the vehicle is likely long gone.
All the Peaky's have found some great finds today. Hello Marie, Glen and Kirsty, Mike. Sorry haven't been on live chat to say hello. But do watch all your video's.
Warooo Peakys, What a great day. Loved every minute and for me what a trip down memory lane. That skeleton of a child's shotgun you found was a Cork firing pop gun and began for me a lifetime of fascination and a way toward the great sport of target shooting. Of course I had to find out how to make the corks shoot farther and faster and with a little grease and a pushrod soon discovered how to do it. Of course it wasn't long before I also discovered that this place was about 5mm in front 9f where the Cork got stuck in the barrel forever! Really good to see jabba and Aaron not walking on eggshells and with big grins on their faces. Thank you for digging those memories out and for a video that made me smile ❤️ Dave
Bless you dave, Yes that's the 3rd cowboy Cork gun we've had from the same spot now over 2 years. Yes jabba and aaron enjoyed the day , did what they wanted to and no pressure. Thanks dave 👍
I love Aaron. I’ve missed him on weekly episodes. I just adore his sense of humor. I will donate the price of his Peaky Dippers uniform. Just to see him and his boy come weekly. I of course love all you Dippers.
Glen, you scored early with the Lion gun and the ancient buckle, but Marie got that outstanding Iron with the handle still in tact! Well done Marie! I also love that Nicola and Simon showed up for some fishing and mudlarking, and the wonderful Aaron is always a treat when he shows up. This is a great video from an awesome day in lovely Oxford. Kirsty brought in that incredibly beautiful Quaking Bridge sign, and that is the find of the day! That looked massively heavy, but Kirsty handled it like a champion! Nicole-Simon & Aaron need to show up more often, they bring great luck to the Peaky Dippers when they're on site!
Thanks alterman, It was a say where the history kept coming. Mike and kirsty had that lovely sign and that's thw second lion toy gun we've had now. Thanks for your support 🙏
It may pay to take your amazing button to the museum they should be able to give you more info even check with si finds he's very informative with these things hun 😊😊
Hi, I'm quite new to your channel but love it. Like how you review at the end and how we feel involved in your finds. I'm curious as to how you 'clean up' rusty items and what you use to do this. Is it possible to actually video one of your clean-ups so that we can see the process? Very impressed with how you have structured your videos and look forward to following your new adventures. Thanks for the entertainment x
Mind blowing historical finds. Really enjoyed Thursday's video. Love seeing everyone out searching for history and having a wonderful time ❤ Your research pays off. Seeing the finds afterward is my favorite part. Thank you, everyone, for all your hard work in making these exciting videos xx
Just a thought... That button... The Arts and Crafts communities where at times greatly inspired by medeival designs ... I may easily be wrong, but it can be worth while looking into... A beautiful video as always! Thank you !
Ive attempted to help identify the button and found some information which might help with your research. I believe this type of button is 'drilled eye' eg made in one piece and the eye drilled after casting. They were made of pewter, copper or copper alloy, some were called Tombac - which is an America term for a button made of copper or copper alloy. 18th century to mid 19th century. Also referred to as '1 piece flat disc button' No button expert but hope this might lead you in the right direction. Good luck with the research Peaky's
Absolutely loved the video guys. I love watching and the street sign that Mike and Kirsty found was absolutely brilliant. I am just very saddened that three of your team have unfriended me 😢😢😢😢 I don’t know why as I love you all.
That was a great video and imagine our surprise when we first see Nicola casually standing around in the background. I hope you will tell use how you all know each other -- did you know each other prior to being UA-cam royalty? From over here in America, it is just unbelievable to see you all together like its no big deal. Thanks for taking us with you.
River cole at Coleshill. Shallow for mudlarking too. Every time I cross it I want to get in there. Less than a mile away from where HS2 found civil war encampment
Even though I love large old keys most of all, the "what will you find next" factor is always fascinating and usually historically interesting. Thank you all !
Your videos are never boring. The Finds Roundups share more information as well as the beautiful restoration work completed. Finding America gentleman does some fantastic restoration work using apple cider vinegar. Be safe.😊
Cant wait to see the sign all fantasticly all cleaned up and LOOKING LIKE IT DID WHEN IT WAS FIRST PUT UP ON THE BRIDGE LOOKING BRILLIANT LIKE YOU ALWAYS DO GLEN YOU SHOULD BE A ARTIST HOPE YOU CLEANUP THE TOY 🔫s IN THE END the cap gun looks fantastic glen brilliant JOB 👏 😀 🎉 ❤it fab day from cal in Hertfordshire England 🏴 🇬🇧
Still watching from Minnesota, USA..2 questions, how do you clean up your finds and do you have a special room or commercial space to display your treasures? Wondering what you did with the bridge sign that Kirsty found...does that go to a museum? Thanks for sharing your treasures with us all over the world.
Could that button not be a button at all? Maybe an old cufflink? Those had shanks on the back of them and had that bend to it. And some were big as well. Just a thought.
I've been told it was a music box, I think I had it wrong in saying it was of a alarm clock. The little turner just reminded me so much of an alarm clock my nan and grandad had 40 years ago
Thanks Marie for the best laugh I had in ages. You and that pump. If you'll excuse me, You are what's called a "Dag" in Australia. It's nothing rude, even though the name is also given to what hangs out of a sheeps rear end. It's a term we give to rhose people who make us laugh with their antics. Often given to those who give the middle finger to social norms. Usually the life of the party and someone who always get invited to them. It's also derived from history, the term was used by sheep shearers a century ago. How it morphed into what it is today I have no idea. Keep it up Marie, continue to make us laugh and wear the name with pride.

I had a bad day tbh Susanne, it was Mike who found the street sign, I just helped pull it out lol 😂
V was issued from the DVLA Chelmsford office circa 1979/80.
Cheers david for the info
Is that ‘poker’ not a soldering iron. I have one but not as fancy handle just wooden but I’m sure it is.
Could that button not be a button at all? Maybe an old cufflink? Those had shanks on the back of them and had that bend to it. And some were big as well. Just a thought.
Thanks Liz 🤗
Its not a mechanism for an alarm clock if the part for a musical jewellery box
Thanks for letting us know
Love foxy
He's a diamond 👍
Was that alarm clock bit an old music box piece?
I've been told it was a music box, I think I had it wrong in saying it was of a alarm clock.
The little turner just reminded me so much of an alarm clock my nan and grandad had 40 years ago

Will Aaron's wife ever fish with u guys!
What is the handle on the poker made of?
It's brass with i think a bakerlite or bone white columns
@PeakyDippers I wondered if it was bone or even marble. Ivory would have been a posh
It had a wooden piece as well
