Great video. I'm a young funeral home owner in Mississippi. I started my company at the age of 27. Yay me! I'm also a Licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer, and Cremationist. A lot of things your speaking about is very imperative for those who are wanting to open their own establishment, especially for women with this being a mostly male-driven industry. People do not talk about all the crookedness in this industry, the hardship, the good/bad months, and more. You should do more videos on this subject.

I'm fairly new to this. I applaud you for your efforts at starting a FH. No one starts big in this business-it takes years to grow & build a clientele in your community. Don't give up. Families will derail your efforts at becoming successful. Sometimes it's best not to bring them into your business & to just love them as family.

I have a question and I forgot the lead it's on one of your other videos and again thank you so much for your channel but my question is to have a public viewing in your state where you are do you have to have or does the loved one have to have embalming done to them to have a public viewing because I'm in Cincinnati Ohio my hometown and here in Ohio it is a law so I've been told that to have a public viewing for 10 or more people that the deceased have to be embalmed something about preserving it and all of that but I thought that you all keep them in a refrigerator until public further public you win or whatever other disposition request or done with the remains so that was my question does a person have to be embalmed to have a public viewing in your state
This is kinda negative and annoying, I agree with you, but I hope all is better and going well for her firm💕 3 years later I ran across my own comment because now I'm a licensed mortician wanting to start my on funeral home.. and nothing about this is negative or annoying just expressing the bad and ugly in this industry. I'm glad you've hung in there and still rocking your business. I was immature to the business, but now I see the raw challenges! God bless you sister❤️💯🙏
