I thought I was the only one!!! I look away! If I watch, I may reel in too early, and lose it! I get too nervous or distracted.
SAME. If I'm playing handheld I will tilt my head down close to the switch and just listen instead of watch 😂

@@BassiKun99 I've only caught 1 coelacanth over the past month, compared to the 5 great white sharks I caught in 30 minutes. And they sell for the same price.
Don't forget the lucrative river fish though. Dorado, Arowana and Arapaima fetch a decent price too.
Oh my god, 81 tickets 😂 I FELT the pain in that specificity. Thank you for going through all that just so we could see the island! It's so interesting that they'd include a river even though no finned fish can spawn there. (Ocean!)

I time-travel and I'm a few days behind (still in late May), but I visited my wife's island last night and absolutely lost my mind when I saw a finned shadow! It was a great white shark, and now I'm beyond hyped for shark season.

i never really cared for fishing, i just did it o open up my musuem when i needed it, but for some reason recently ive been fishing and diving, i got the coelacanth fish and the gigas giant clam and like 17 sea pineaples lol, i will definitely be fishing.. no fin? no fishh

Yes! Never knew of this island before as I play seldomly. I stumbled upon it today and I got rid of everything except 1 fishing pole to make room for sharks as they are worth more than any of my tools. Over 500,000 when sold! Nice!
Summer months are the greatest in Animal Crossing, I like to call them the money months because of all the bugs and fish that are worth alot🤑🤑

Last night, I saw fins!!! XD it was a hammerhead. First shark I have ever caught in acnh. I was so suprised to see it, it was on my island!

i was playing early today and i ended up getting the island first try on book mile tickets. I’m new to animal crossing some sort and i had no idea that sharks were even in the game... man i tell you was i surprised when i came back home to my pockets full of whale sharks and great whites

On my first ACNH island I had sharks all the time, even more when it rained. Then after swimming and sea creatures, the number was reduced. Then on each subsequent island, I've had a really low shark and exotic fish count. I wondered if it had to do with how you get different furniture and clothing drops-not always the stuff you are hoping for. I had great stuff on my first island but ever since the items have been of little use or interest to me. Like I get a lot of male clothing and no female tops. I like my current island the best but the stuff is the worst. Do you think Nintendo has been playing with the random drop rate since the beginning? Thanks for keeping us updated on all things ACNH.
Ocean - I got fin island while villager hunting the other day. Tossed back every sucker fish I caught to make room for the more expensive ones. Then I sold them all to CJ for over 600k bells. Definitely worth it! For me it only took 20 nmts

I got all mine (except the sun fish, obviously) yesterday. All on my own island without any bait (& I didn’t try catching that many fish, I just got the rod out whenever I passed a fin). I was expecting them all to be the suckerfish because I’d already caught three of those, so I was over the moon!

I started playing animal crossing about a month ago (because I finally purchased a switch) and I just got this island today. I basically filled my entire inventory (40 items) with Great Whites and Whale Sharks. CJ is probably visiting my island tomorrow or the upcoming days. I’m so excited to make BANK :)

Ocean. I have four fish 🐠 models. I love collecting them. I caught my first hammerhead shark 🦈 early this morning for the first time.
I’ve caught all the sharks, but never found Dorsal Fin Island. I caught 2 hammerheads and a great white on the first day of summer! I only have one fish model - the bitterling.
Ocean~ Fins fins fins. I bought a bunch of fishing rods I sticked up on after breaking so many trying to get all the fish that were new to me for the last months. Time to break them and the fish bait out again, I suppose 😆

I catch all the shark last year for the museum, but this year I want 3 of each for the model and an extra 1 for my collection. I never saw the shark mystery island, I didn't know there was one, cool.

i got 3 suckerfish and a whale shark before the others came out without any fish bait, and I also caught 2 gigas giant clams.

I caught my first shark yesterday and I also caught a dorado within minutes of each other.
At 1:10 on my island the hammerhead sells for 6,400 and the great white sells for 12,000
didn't know i needed the pole. I never have that with me anymore. thanks!
There are several mystery islands that require ladders and poles. If you ever land on money island and you don't have a pole, your hooped!
I caught the great white shark and the saw shark on my island. I found a sucker fish and a whale shark on a mystery island. Now I'm going to try to find that shark island.

I have the game since August and I've already caught all of them. I need only the June-July fishes and bugs and the stringfish. But I was so stupid because I sold all of them instead of giving them to C.J. for the models :( So I have a lot of work in the summer! :D

Honestly, maybe I just play at the perfect times, but I don’t find the sharks that rare to get, especially the great white, which is the one I get the most often. I mean, obviously, in comparison to other fish, yes, but, overall, not really. I’ve caught a whole bunch since the season started.
