1. Look for shadows with dorsal fins. 2. Cast your fishing line. 3. Push the A button when the fish pulls the bobber down. 4. Repeat as needed over the course of time until you have all the sharks. :)
one time i was fishing on my dock and i had a friend over. i threw some bait in, and for whatever reason, she threw her line in after me. she ended up stealing the catch. you know what it was? a hammerhead shark, and it was the only one of the four that i needed
First shark i caught i literally jumped out of my chair and squealed…it had no fin in the water to alert me it was a shark. It was a hammerhead. Second shark was a whale shark and I did the same. The saw tooth one no. I now am used to them unless they are in disguise. There is one shark I cannot catch as it hits once even when i hit a button….it takes the bait and leaves. Boo
I just got started in May 2021, and all I can say is, "Bummer." I saw in previous TagBack vid that catching one was meager pickings. Good luck in snagging a Great White Shark.
Surprisingly the first day of June my island was only spawning sharks as the big shadow fish. I didnt catch any Sea Bass or Olive Flounders that day, just a bunch of sharks. And then June 2nd I started getting Sea Bass and Olive Flounders again and the shark spawning has decreased by a lot
The “sucker fish” you mentioned having is technically a catfish called a plecostomus or “pleco” 😂 yes they do get huge and honestly it would be interesting to have them as a pond or river fish in animal crossing🤔 the suckerfish we have in game is actually a remora
Caught all four without bait in less then 1 hour. Just shuffelt around my island a bit, and BAM. Bait can help, but only really by those fish that are really hard to find.
I was super lucky one evening. I used nook miles to go to a deserted island. Turned out to be a finned fish island. I caught 25 sharks (broke 3 rods)... it was epic!
I caught them all in a couple days while I was fishing for the coelacanth. I wasn't feeling as impressed and joyous at first. I missed the crazy joy of catching the Oar Fish! But the Whale Shark?! Yep, that's still a thrill!
I like using tricks and tips I've learned on mystery islands, they're so much smaller, it's easy to scare off fish you don't want so the ones you do pop up faster. Earlier I landed on one that was rainy and got myself a coelacanth
I basically caught all the shark type fish on a mystery island with no bait. I was having a blast! I caught so much I had enough to give to Blathers and more than enough to sell to CJ & make a model of a shark. A Shark model sells at Nooks Crannies for $25,000 bells
Just love animal crossing and animal crossing content lmao ive put around 300+ hours in the last 2 months in ACNH and i love it. Lol changing my island around yet again and working on making things look nice 💖
So far, I caught a Saw and Hammerhead with no bait. I went fishing earlier this evening with all the bait I have been hoarding in my Storage and no luck. I was also trying to catch the Giant Trevally and the Mahi-mahi while I was at the pier. No luck there either lol. But the finned shadows mostly teased my bobber and swam away when I tried to reel them in at the right moment.
I caught three of them in on day running around my island only one left the Saw Shark I might just try a mystery island because I always seem to get rare fish there
... I just did the math and the amount of time it took you to fish up the first Great White you could have sold those 77 bait and gotten 400 more bells without the hassle. Each fish bait sells for 200 bells and the Great White sells for 15000. Obviously you should still do it for the museum, but afterwards I think I would use other methods to get money.
yeah, but idrk if anybody goes fishing for really rare fishes to sell at nooks cranny. most of the time it's either for their museum or to sell to people who cant seem to fish them up themselves
I think it's completely random, I've caught 3 of those sharks just walking my beach. Fish bait does let you stay in one spot, instead of moving all around.
I always find it so amusing when your character catches a HUGE shark or crab and is just like "oh cool I'm just gonna put this in my pocket for later~ ^w^"
The sucker fish is a remora :) they attach themselves to sharks and larger sea animals and catch a ride along, eating food scraps that the larger sea creature may have eaten. Very interesting!
Glad it went by smoothly this time! Honestly, I probably didn’t need all the bait I made this time (Even though I blew through probably up to 200 lol), because I’m still to this day catching these Sharks IN DROVES! 😅
Me and my dad love animal crossing, and are always looking out for the best way for bells. Thanks for teaching me and now I’m playing and searching for clams!
I've caught a Great White and a Hammerhead so far,but I still need the Whale shark(my favorite) and the Saw shark..this video did give me a few good tips I didn't know about, like the fish bait can attract sharks too(who knew?)
It’s also worth using you’re nook miles tickets to go to different islands. Found one where all the shadows in the sea were sharks and managed to tick a couple of the list there
It is shark season and I got a mahi mahi fish and a few sucker fish but no shark so I look up and your videos came up so I hope this works and hopefully I get a shark for my museum!
So I guess I got lucky. Until watching this video I had never even seen a fish with a fin. I only crafted 26 bait, and in the time I was searching for them I saw TWO fins! I caught a Hammerhead, and another fish that apparently has a fin is the Ocean Sunfish. Once I started fishing, I got duped by a sucker fish, caught 2 Moray Eels (which I had never seen before), and let a 4th finned fish get away because I got too excited. Definitely gonna try this again!
I still need the Saw Shark. Also still don't have the Mahi Mahi so I do all my bait fishing off of the pier hoping to get one or the other. I don't want to dedicate a whole day to it though so I usually craft up about 10-20 bait when I'm walking along the beach during one play session and will do the fishing during another play session. Considering the sharks are gonna be around until September I'm not in a rush there. I also need a Dorado from the river. I'll use bait in the river once I have that Mahi Mahi.
I never caught a shark before so I started watching this video and was watching what to do. I am never a lucky person btw. Well while I’m listening and digging up the clams to use for bait, I literally see a lil fin showing and I was like no way. Turns out it was a hammerhead and I was like wow this video is lucky lmao.
Thank you for sharing this info, it was sooooooooo helpful. I've caught every type of shark, also I'm not sure if this is helpful or true, but when it comes to recognizing a real shark from the sucker shark, it seems like the color of the fin is different. The red color fin indicates a real shark, and the black fin is the sucker shark. Now I don't know if I'm right, but it kind of seems like it's accurate..I think.. Lol lol....🤔🤔
I caught 2 great whites and a hammerhead within 10 minutes of each other without using bait! I just scared away any fish that weren’t sharks so more would fish spawn. It was around 10:30 PM and it was rainy!
When i saw that ribbon eel for the first time i was like OMG WTF IS THAT!!! the sight of it made my skin crawl and sent chills down my spine i just wanted in out of my pockets ASAP
If you're going shark hunting, I suggest nmt trips, the best islands to get are bamboo or mountain island, as the only fish that can spawn are the ones that spawn in the sea
Thanks to this video, I got a hammer head shark, an ocean sunfish, TWO whale sharks and THREE great white sharks. I'm not kidding when I say these numbers and that's just my second day playing animal crossing. I always go to the right dockside bay and use fish bait to get those sharks.
It is actually easier to find the sharks from natural encounters. I also know this due to teleportation reloads. And I think that July in northern hemisphere gives you a higher shark spawn chance, as I am finding loads of sharks nowadays.
Caught them all.. no bait needed 😁 Sharks seem very popular on my island 🥰 shared with my mom who is having a hard time catching them and my aunt who is just starting out though. Love your vids! Thank you 🙃
I've caught all of them. The ribbon eel creeps me out. I had the most luck fishing off the pier using bait during it raining after 5pm. Probably a huge coincidence 😂 My husband seeks to be catching everything in the predia and I keep catching the same ones over and over. At least I caught the golden trout on the very last day 😁
Tips from your old pal! If your switch vibrates while catching a fish with a fin or a normal fish it’s probably gonna be something over 5k bells. If you go to the nook stop each day u can earn some nook miles. Also go to the nook stop and purchase the pro designs thing in “redeem nook miles” section! It gives you better design outfits and stuff! Be aware of the scorpion & tarantula. They both bite, sting. Only with the net tho. Better chance of huge, good fish in the ocean rather the river. Enjoy! Forgot to mention the sea bass tricks you sometimes thinking that your gonna get t something good because it also vibrates the switch. Just sell it if you get it or if you like it give it a happy home!
I caught all these sharks yet have JUST caught a pop-eyed goldfish. I couldn't find that little booger for the longest time. I even caught a mahi mahi before a pop-eyed goldfish.
this may be a few months ago, but it really helped me! i time skipped to September 1st 6:30pm and made bait. And first try, i got a shark shadow and got a whale shark!
Caught all of them except the hammerhead, not on the same day, but no bait was used. I'm too lazy for that lol Tip: If u don't wanna use bait, go to Nook Mile Islands, as there's such a thing as a 'dorsal fin island' that has cliffs shaped like dorsal fins and all the fish are dorsal fin fish.
