Was able to pick this up in Charleston, SC. Have seen it in lots of places here. Not everywhere, but often enough. I also have the Cask Strength which is fantastic.
I find the OF1910 fell short of the WRDO in the double oaked bourbons comparison... I was super disappointed given the hype, will go back to it to see if it was a neck pour thing perhaps...
The 1910 needs air for sure it’s always shocking better with air that being said some bottles of wrdo are just really good and can beat an avg bottle of 1910
@@bourbonbill Ah, okay, good to hear! Will revisit and report back on findings as I get deeper into that bottle. Might be a hot take, but if the WRDO were as hard to find as OF10 it would have a lot more hype too. But I'm certainly not complaining!!! More for me! SagamoreDO Rye is another really drinkable double oaked option.
Lol was funny to watch this after two years have past. Your love of Sagamore and ryes this past year have lead me the rye side. So many great ryes lately.
Man my love for sagamore does continue to grow I have more sagamore rye on my shelves then anything else at the moment they are still one of the few who absolutely kill it at finishing and are transparent
I picked the Sagamore Double Oak I special ordered last week. I'm not in love with it, but I've only just started drinking it. sometimes they grow on me.
David sorry to hear that. Mine took a week to open up and it really bloomed. First crack it was just okay. I find that the double oaks are that way the same thing with 1910 which I love I always open and wait a week and then there is the good stuff haha.
@@bourbonbill I'll probably enjoy it more the next time I drink it. Now that I think about it, I chased it with a bottle of pecan ale that I picked up in the supermarket that I absolutely hated. That probably messed up the experience. Later that night I mixed an Old Fashion using it and that was delicious..
Nice part about the sagamore is it’s pretty readily available and you don’t have to pay up for it. I’m a fan, they are really putting out some solid products
@@tragic504 I’ve heard good things about the 8yr. I did though just get a 7yr store pick that’s phenomenal and one guy who picked it said it was better than the 8yr he had. Best part it was 70 bucks for the 7yr
@@tragic504 haha well I’ve been told most of their store picks are 5 or 6 years but some special ones are 7 now and it’s a hitter. It’s going to be in my end of the year rye shootout for sure

Yeah the cask strength is great stuff too

Wonderful pour - FYI the seal is a riff on Maryland's state flag.
Ahh is that whole diamond shape thing makes sense now

Yeah for sure. This makes me want to try their 8yr Rye and some of their finished versions as well
@@bourbonbill the 8yr cask strength special reserve is a buy if you’re willing to spend the extra bucks.

@@bourbonbill that was only 8 dollars less than what I paid. But I’ve been searching for a cheaper alternative.

Great comparison haven’t seen this compared to midwinter nights dram before I may have to snag one
Yeah I was surprised how fruity it was for a double barrel
Have heard nothing but good things may have to pick this up
Yea i waited too long to snag this myself
