Thank you Google, I have been non stop checking the grows with Google portal for more information on project management and this video does great at breaking down expectations.
I am glad to see this initiative by Google. It can change the way education is earned through the traditional way. It can democratize education if it becomes accessible to every nook and corners of the world.
Excited to start this certification. Really hope it provides value to my bachelor's degree and helps provide a breakthrough into the project management field!
Thanks in advance Google team I just started my first course in Project Management by coursera and after I finished the 6 courses I will come here and share my experience. Best Regards Hussam
I studied Project Management for 3 years at University (plus accredited author in many global PM standards); for example, we spent 6 months on planning alone as a sub-topic of Project Management. Although this course is a great overview to gain some form of entry level related role (100 hours quoted for a course on Project Management), as someone who recruits Project Mangers, I wouldn't be relying on this course alone, a person needs more training, coaching and experience to become competant at Project Management (a degree covers over 3000 hours). Also, Projects deliver outputs, not necessarily the outcomes; outputs are the tangible products that can be touched or seen. The Program or Business delivers the outcomes, the benefits or capability derived from the outputs; this can be a fundamental difference in mindset.
Can you use the Project Management certificate internationally? I saw a job at Louis Vuitton's website for Project Management but they require you have a knowledge in International Project Management . 🤷♂️ Would this certificate count for an International Project Management job position?
Has anyone found a job with this cert? A lot of the jobs I see on indeed are "contract" and I want to be an actual employee. However the ones that don't say contact....many of them want years of experience lol..
I am in week four which is about PMO and organizational structure I must say have learned many things in the first course only and m curious what they will have in next 5courses
I have a HUGE question. Can I get the Certificate as a person living outside the US? Would it help me find a job in the US or will it be kinda useless for me? (Apart from the knowledge, of course) Can someone tell me? Especially if you have some experience with it
@@marcernestluthomme8243 Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel that in most cases Western companies still have a prejudice against dealing with foreign employees directly. Usually, in the IT-sphere (like programming and data analytics) the scheme works like this: the original company makes a deal with an outsourcing company that hires foreign employees and pays them less. It might be ok for people who don't know English well enough to deal with the original company directly, but for those who know English good enough already, it is a bit of a middle-man rip-off, and is, frankly, insulting to high-quality employees.

Great question. 💯 We have a Google Career Certificates Employer Consortium consisting of over 150 companies like Deloitte, Target, Lowe's, Verizon, and of course, Google. Note, you must be eligible to work in the US to access this resource.
