- In this video I will be showing how to apply IBD builder gel to press on nails. I also have another IBD builder gel video linked in the outro. It is the curved edition (curve press on nails) so make sure that you check that video out as well.

I’m not sure if anyone mentioned that you can use the builder gel to stick the nail to yours. Put a thin base coat on your natural nail, cure, then put a large bead, press and cure. Lasts 2 weeks, 3 when I don’t feel like being bothered… lol. It works better if you do this before applying polish and then do your normal routine… anyway, your nails look great!
I have seen it done but I haven’t had the opportunity to try it myself. I have to constantly switch nails for pics && things like that. When I get some time I’m definitely going to try it. Thank you so much for bringing that to my attention again. && happy you like the nails!!!

Beautiful. I know I'm a year late but I'm going to try this. I also use the builder gel to glue on the fake nails. I buff my nails & the under side of the press on, cleanse both with alcohol, put gel base coat on my nail and under side of fake nail & nuke, then put light layer of builder gel on my nail and press on the fake nail and cure it. Stays for 2-3 weeks

Great job! I recently started using builder gel. I agree, I use a nail polish brush too. They also are very durable with it, like acrylic.

I put the sticky tab on my mail then put a dab of nail glue on the sticky tab. It’s stays longer without glue actually touching my nails 😊

All sticky tabs are like this I only use them for my display nails.... Pretty nails you did a good job

Hi! New friend to your channel. I love watching creative nail videos because I too am interested in learning to do unique nails. I mainly do beauty subscription box openings over on my channel but I had to take a break from doing videos to fight triple negative breast cancer this past year. Sadly I lost all my pretty hair, lashes and brows due to strong chemo therapy plus it messed with my nails too so it’s been almost a year since I’ve got to even put a clear coat on my nails. I was so weak and sick from the many months of treatment I wasn’t able to do much of anything but I’m starting to heal and feeling better and thankfully after having a double mastectomy to remove the lump I’m in remission and in the process of breast reconstruction. I have been documenting this past year of my cancer journey and hope to now finally get all those videos edited up into one video and share it on my channel as my comeback video letting my UA-cam friends know what’s been going on. I hope to get that up soon plus get back to doing videos myself now that I’m feeling better and looking more like myself once again. I also hope to add doing nail vids to my channel too and thanks to you along with many other nail creators you all have truly inspired me to do nails. I hope to be as creative and talented as you are at doing nails someday sweet friend. I hope we can chat and connect because I love getting to make new forever friends. I plan to use gorilla glue. I just saw a video and someone says they have been using it for 2yrs. Their nails last about 3 wks.

Thank you 😊 No, you do not soak them off with acetone. I like to use nail glue remover *$5 at Walmart*. Also you can soak your hands in warm soapy water with a little oil for about 15 mins to loosen the glue. I hope that answered your question 🤗
This came up in my suggested, but I'm not mad at it 😊. Those colors look beautiful together... Very smooth transition 💞. I use hard gel to create my full sets, but I injured my pinkie and have been doing press-ons for the past couple months instead. Does the hard gel cause the tips to shrink like acrylic can?
Hey I’m so glad u came across the video. Thank you. And to answer your question, no. The gel doesn’t shrink the tip. I have heard some ppl say that it does but I think it’s because they use ALOT of gel. I only use a little. 😊

I use the IBD hard gel in the bottle because it goes on a lot smoother as if it was nail polish.
I have seen it but never used it. Is it as thick as the one in the jar?

@@tcrnails547 No problem 😌 When I was in cosmetology they didn’t teach us how to do nails except one day. So when I was on the floor I used OPI builder gel (in the bottle) to do nails. I believe the gel I use now is way better && thicker.. I wish you the best. Lmk how your nails turn out!

Yes, it gives it more stability. You cld still do regular gel polish. I do mine both ways and use acrylic too

Yes, it makes them harder but not like brick. They aren’t going to crack like acrylic would because they aren’t THAT hard. You can’t just bend them either. I hope that answers your question. 🖤

Hello. If the natural nail is prepared correctly they will last for weeks.
What is the name of your base gel
In this video I used beetles base gel.
What base coat do you use?
In this particular video I used a beetles brand base coat. Now I use DND base coat. They both work great for me. Haven’t had any issues with either.
How long does the set last?
If you’re gentle on your hands they can last well over 3 weeks. Also how you prep your natural nail before applying your press ons is extremely important. I do have a video demonstrating that as well. As far as the quality of the nails(how long they last) that would all depend on who you purchase from. You get what you pay for.

Could you do this with pre-made French tip press on nails?
Yes you sure can. It will make them look even more like acrylics.
Nice 😍 the stickers aren't for me. I like the UV gel glue. Its in a polish bottle brush and all from Amazon.

I use some builder gel in a white bottle. My nails still come out thin😩😩 the ones I bought from someone are way stronger than mines
This builder gel that I use in this video is the only brand I’ve ever used. It’s great because you can make it as thick or thin as you’d like. I can’t speak on your particular brand because I don’t know what it is but I would suggest doing multiple layers of it && see how that works for you. 😊

Do you mean charms & rhinestones? If so, I found that it was not the best for securing charms. Mine came off fairly quickly. You should definitely try a rhinestone gel or glue adhesive.

@@rachel.shakira No problem. Lol I was going to say Zulay b/c I’ve had the most success with that glue. Makartt Nail Rhinestone Glue from amazon would be my next suggestion. I think it works better on a course surface though. I have heard that actual nail glue does the trick but I haven’t tried it && I think it may leave a white residue.

It’s possible that they could break but it would be extremely hard to do. It also depends on how thick you decide to go with it. I haven’t ever had any regular press ons w/ gel polish to break. Probably because I use gel tips and not plastic tips.
