Can totally relate. Going back to Shanghai for my own grandmother's funeral in June. My suggestion would be to travel and explore. China is such a massive and diverse country. You'll even find that smell you miss if you're at the right place at the right time.
Understand how you feel, it's only after you leave that you realize how much you've gotten used to so many of life's details. This may be the love for the homeland in human instinct, the accustomed natural environment and social relationships are always more reassuring. Moving to another country does take a long time to get used to the new environment. Chinese culture also places great importance on the love of one's homeland, so when you feel homesick, go home and visit!
Just like 40 years ago my parents moved to a small town in Canada, my mom had to made lots of foods from scratch dried oysters, dried bokchoy, steamed buns ect. She used to improvised the recipes with local ingredients. Julie, best luck to you!
Some of the problems you're describing especially the lack of options sound like a Hangzhou problem. It's so close to Shanghai. Give Shanghai a shot. Make one of the weekend days a "supplies shopping in Shanghai" day. You won't be able to get 100% of your wish list, but I expect that with the right local guide you're gonna be able to double your options or even more compared to Hangzhou.
When I traveled to Denmark around 15 years ago, the most surprising stuff was that the mermaid stature was shocking very small than my original perspective it should be large before😂
Can you do a tourism guide on Denmark? I'm from the US and my family and I are planning a Europe trip for this summer. We plan to visit Italy and Germany, but not sure about Denmark.
Really hard to find good Chinese or Asian food in Denmark too! Even Australian Asian food is very authentic nowadays. Not in Denmark unless you wanna pay over 300 DKK a person...when I stopped over in Beijing I stuffed myself at the airport restaurant!

With your great personality, you will make great friends in China in due time. Sounds like a business venture to me.
A strong woman.
Chinese need to consume more dairy Products so that they will be taller and stronger. Love your videos, it's Very informative! 👍👍♥️💓🌷🌹

Split your time between Denmark and China, enjoy the best of the two countries 🎉

Two beautiful souls ❤️ ✨️ 💖 💛 💕
You are so kind 🌸
Poor Julie . Please do not feel sad.

Haha I hear the little mermaid and the eiffel tower are rated as the most disappointing tourist attractions 😂

I definitely can. What would you like to see specifically? Like things you should know before going or places to go? 😊
@@jiayiandjulieinchina where to visit 🏖️, what to EAT 🤤, and maybe cultural things to watch out for (as an American) so I don't offend the locals.
在我的印象中有两样丹麦的产品印象最深:丹麦蓝罐曲奇,丹麦皇冠音箱。

China does need a lot of greens inside the city 😂
Hangzhou does have a lot, but of course, there are still more people 😅
How does the cleanliness compare between Denmark and China? And both to Japan?
China is just as clean if not cleaner a lot of the time. But of course, there are some areas that look messier than others
Blessings. China will be more internationalized and offer all kinds of options.
I lived in Nanjing 20years ago, and the supermarket didn’t sell butter with salt
Luckily they do now and they even have Danish brands of butter
Every where has different smells. Denmark has dense forests of pine trees. One has to adjust to environments.
In my experience, you never truly stop missing those little things
👌👌👌👍👍👍👏👏👏🎈🎈🎈
JIayi needs to really learn how to make those Danish/Julie foods! Lock yourself in a Danish space and masterize.... Good luck!
Yes, start a Danish specialty store
Haha not sure it would be that popular 😅
Her skin tone is pink
I'm a very pale person, what can I say 😅
You don't miss Danish butter cookies ? ...LoL
Danes don't really eat those outside the holidays and gatherings. I can also just bake them myself 😊
Is it very costly to have cheeses and all your favorite cakes or cookies, chocolates sent to you by your family from Denmark like care packages?
Cheeses can't be shipped because of the distance, but my mom does send me stuff from home 😊
@skype fix your shit so I can talk to my best friend.
Ccp propaganda
China is going back to the older closure period; suggest you couple go back and live in Denmark instead.
You’re so poor
You are so poor
it's really best for your kids in the next 30-50 years, trust me.
They can go back to Denmark freely. So what are you worry about?
i ain't worried at all, just supplmenting to some random ID's responses below
我要向公安举报你
I mean you could try 🤷
