So excited to see you both in your new home 😊, hope it’s soon. Your pram bought back memories of my two when they were little as mine was almost identical but yellow and navy, still have it and can’t bare to let it go 😢 I make a soup which is easy: 1 tin of tinned carrots 1 tins of baked beans 2 tins of chopped tomatoes Vegetable stock 2 small pickled onions Blitz and enjoy - it’s just like Heinz tomato soup and so easy xx
You really must go to Stonehenge as it’s really interesting. When we lived at Larkhill when I went to school we used to climb over the rocks and there was no exhibition building
Yeah id try it again the proper way with a strong chorizo 😂 ha ha. Exciting about the house, getting there. I would of thought you would of exchanged by now x
I am old enough to remember when Stonehenge was not fenced off and we could run around inside. That would be the 1960s 🤣🤣. I mentioned before that I am of an age that I am now SDC (Swedish Death Cleaning). This is Thanksgiving weekend in the US and while my 2 adult children were at the house we went through baby memory boxes etc. It is almost ALL being moved on. My daughter wanted her first baby shoes, the bonnet she wore when she came home from hospital and that is about it.
I currently live in what you would call a semi detached house, but it is the first I have ever lived in. I have always lived in detached houses (in Australia. In the UK I lived in a mid terrace house for six months). I totally know what you mean about hearing the neighbours and it feels comforting knowing they are there. My neighbours are very quiet and we get along really well, so that is handy. Your new place looks great. No street lights? you will have a lot to get used to. But I bet you will love it. Will you get another pet do you think? My friend lives near Stonehenge. She always sends me videos when she drives past it. She knows I love it (I went there when I lived in Kent).
How great that you got to see an update on your house. We won't get to see our apartment until it is ALL finished. You can tell our kids are similar ages because my pram had almost the same cover on it !!
We have been house hunting ourselves (even though we just moved a little over a year ago 😳) and nothing has been striking my fancy. We might have to choose a new build like you. It’s amazing to me the variation of personal tastes when viewing other people’s homes 😊
Just catching up. I think the quart to litre conversion is off. It’s a thicker soup so definitely try less stock - it’s approx 1.8l using two stock cubes xx
It depends what it is. If it’s just something light like seeds then at the very start but if it’s something like cheese, olives, sundried tomato then I fold it in just before it goes in the ove.
What fun! This is all so exciting !
I would love a detached house. Hope all goes to plan and you exchange and move as soon as it's ready 😊

Also I sometimes take some of the stock out of the veg before blending. You can always add back if it’s too thick but I love thiccccccck soup x
Hi Lisa, the Black Forest trifle you mentioned one Waitrose sold or one of there recipes? TIA
I bake with sourdough but I've never mixed anything in with it. At what point do you mix stuff in?
