Thanks for the Video! I’m 5’5 and most bikes sit too high for me to be comfortable so this Tutorial was EXACTLY what I needed to see, now I know what needs to be done !! 💪🏽👊🏽
Greetings, As always another excellent detailed video production 🇺🇲🍾🎉🇺🇲 Did you have to adjust the chain. Thank you so much for assisting me and keep producing more videos.
Hey, perfect instruction. I have 1998 Suzuki Bandit 1200s and I only see one link at left side. I do not see any link at right side. Am I blind? It has to be pair, right?
You’re supposed to lower the front end (forks through yolks) to keep the geometry of the bike as spec as possible, I don’t know how this bike would handle especially after dropping the rear 2 inches!
Awesome video! Very well done, but do you like the handling of your zx6r lowered? I like the looks when its lowered but Im scared to do it. I wanted to lower my brand new 2023 Zx6r, but my local bike shop said it was not a good idea because it will absolutely throw off the handling (unless I was planning on only doing lean angle equivalent to a moped, then it would be ok). The bike shop said that lowering a sport bike would basically turn it into a cruiser, but Im curious what you think about it your lowered zx6r? Great job on the video and I do like the look of the bike when its lower (but I do care a lil more about how the bike handles than looks). Thanks for posting....
Does lowering a bike have any bad effects when riding? And you think the lowering kit can help my girlfriend flat foot. She's 5,3 and the bike has a 30.7 inseam.
wish I watched this before spending 180 dollars on a lowering kit XD I Am a new biker and 4'10 and can barely touch the ground on a ninja 300. they also didn't tell me I would need a new kickstand so now I need to look that up as well
This is awesome was worries how much dealer would charge when I get mine. So im 5’05. Say I lower it the way you did, seat height is right… do I have to adjust front at all? Keep in mind i am NOoO mechanic?? Lol well done
Dude, you’re a lifesaver. I used to have a Yamaha R1 and I was on my Tippy toes. I can never push myself back. If I decide to get another bike, hopefully I can lower it. If the seller can’t do it? Thank you.
do you lose performance, when lowering the height ? , I am 5'2" & love to ride the R1but it's to heavy , , it would be nice if yamaha add reverse mode to easily reverse bike out of driveway when facing home , anyways good videos
I’ve got a bike that’s way too low and have been trying to figure out how to make it higher. It looks a lot more complicated than this and is stretched. Think you could help me out?
I found both. I checked bolts : 17mm at the top and 14mm at the bottom. Question is if the holes on the link will work with this bike? I am asking because the description says this link won't fit to my 1998 Suzuki Bandit 1200s. I could not find any links that says fit to 1998. I will appreciate your comment on this.
So you have increased the rake - how did you find the handling? I am going the opposite way +25mm of head angle to have more feel from the front and steer quicker
We lowered a zx9R. A couple weeks ago. Just fine lowered way easier. Just bought a new one. Tried to lower it and one side lowered way more than the other. Do you know how to raise back up that one side by chance
absolutely necessary. find some way to attach a torpedo level to the bike and check how it sits before you lower it. then check again after the work is done to make sure its sitting the same. ride height/steering geometry is important, fuck it up at your own risk. it can be an inch closer to the ground but as long as the angles of everything are the same, hard to go wrong =D
love the 1000 buck 2by 4 comment thanks for the vid looking to get 600 gsxr in couple days and was curious about lowering just kills me to see folks running with open header just sounds horrible and the cheaper links some are made from cheaper metal and china metal is very bad for cracking
Thanks for the Video! I’m 5’5 and most bikes sit too high for me to be comfortable so this Tutorial was EXACTLY what I needed to see, now I know what needs to be done !! 💪🏽👊🏽
How many inches did you drop?
Already knew what to do, came to see other methods, definitely going to use the ladder lol thats genius
I’m 5’1, i definitely needed this vid for when i get my bike! 😂🙏
wow, i admire your courage and the will to ride. please be safe
Thank you for this. Just lowered my 2013 Zx6r following your video.
Nice work!
I’m going to lower my ZX6R, your video is the first one I see and I’m going to used it.
Thank you and ride safety!
How did it go I just got a fz6r & I’m going to have to do the same thing
Same here
Such a good video. Straight to the point, and with simple explanations!
Awesome video! Keep up the great work. Made it easy to lower my 2024 zx6r!
You ever end up doing the front end?
Smart question. You are suppose to do things evenly to help maintain suspension reaction being as close to stock as possible.
Straight to the point simple video with steady camera showing each step. PERFECT VIDEO! Thank you for this! Subscribed!
Also did you lower your front?
Up same question did you lower your front?
i believe the front is not adjustable
@@yeet286Should be able to loosen the clamps and slide the shocks up. Not a great idea, since it'll change the steering geometry
Did you ever do a part 2 for the front?
Prolly not😂
Greetings,
As always another excellent detailed video production 🇺🇲🍾🎉🇺🇲
Did you have to adjust the chain. Thank you so much for assisting me and keep producing more videos.
I wonder how long those will last with how thin the material is between each hole.
Thank you. I was looking at a zx6r, but have to tip toe. So I won't be worried now. Awesome video!
Thank you! Great and very educational video. More power to your channel! Watching from the philippines
Hey, perfect instruction. I have 1998 Suzuki Bandit 1200s and I only see one link at left side. I do not see any link at right side. Am I blind? It has to be pair, right?
"It's only 1 bolt" proceeds to take the whole bike apart
😂
Exactly 😂
great detail - thanks for sharing. you make it seem easy, hopefully i can to the same with my motorcycle. cheers!
Very helpful especially cause we are the same height and just makes me feel more comfortable when I can flat foot a bike
Love the video! Also digging the Chiefs shirt. KC represent!
Did you have to lower the front of the bike as well or did this give you an all around drop?
You’re supposed to lower the front end (forks through yolks) to keep the geometry of the bike as spec as possible, I don’t know how this bike would handle especially after dropping the rear 2 inches!
@@mikeyyoyo6464 thank you. I don’t either but I’m curious.
Great video, much better than most pertaining to lowering.
Jw did u lower ur bike yet? im planing to buy a 2023 636 also but is a little tall for me, researching alot atm.
@@HoyooHmoob let me know hust got a 23’ zx6r and I wanna lower it an inch
Are all the wholes only to lower. N othing to make it higher?

Thanks for the video! May I ask where did you get your stuff for ur bike? Or link.
Thanks!!
Getting ready to do exactly same thing please send information as to where you bought the part's
Would the link make the suspension less springy?
good video man. wish other people made things so simple and clear
Do you mind telling us where you get the kit? Link please
I have a 2005 zx10r i was wondering if i can use this link?
Do you have a video on how to lower the front end
Does lowering a bike have any bad effects when riding? And you think the lowering kit can help my girlfriend flat foot. She's 5,3 and the bike has a 30.7 inseam.
It can affect the driving, but you have to adjust your driving skills.
Curious if yall lowered it, if so how much and if you found any issues?
For everyday riding it doesn’t affect the riding. If you go to the track, yes it definitely will.
@@15Kilo dang then how to short people supposed to get it 😂
@@jourdan2047 they only use one foot on the ground. It doesn’t take much to keep it stable when stopped at sign or light.
omg best explaining video !!
now i feel ready to lower my Yamaha r3!! so excited to work on it THANK YOU you explained it so perfect (:
How did yhat end up going. Im watching this to make my R3 higher
i like how you use the ladder to suspend the bike
Your tutorial video is the best on youtube, i hope you will get more subscribers because your videos are worth gold.
Great vid, I’m going to do this. Maybe try the height with your boots on first
Straight to the point and easy thank you for the video Do you have a video on lowering the front

Very well done, actually one best I've see. Keep it up you are very good
is there a video to put back to oem from being stretched with extention
I thought the process would be more complex but it was actually pretty easy!
Thanks man!!
are u wearing alpargatas?
This is awesome was worries how much dealer would charge when I get mine. So im 5’05. Say I lower it the way you did, seat height is right… do I have to adjust front at all? Keep in mind i am NOoO mechanic?? Lol well done
So do I need to order two sets? Like for a total of 4? I’m confused
great video. to the point and very well explained. Thanks.
Easy to follow deserves a subscribe
What about the oil change? How did you go about it moving forward?
Dude, you’re a lifesaver. I used to have a Yamaha R1 and I was on my Tippy toes. I can never push myself back. If I decide to get another bike, hopefully I can lower it. If the seller can’t do it? Thank you.
thank you for sharing Dylan👍✌
Does this change the ride?
man this was super helpful! thank you so much
good video, gnarly tats. thanks bro! 💪🏻
does it have negative effects???
Do you have links for products?
do you lose performance, when lowering the height ? , I am 5'2" & love to ride the R1but it's to heavy , , it would be nice if yamaha add reverse mode to easily reverse bike out of driveway when facing home , anyways good videos
How far did u go on the front suspension aftr lowering your rear by 2inches?thanks
I’ve got a bike that’s way too low and have been trying to figure out how to make it higher. It looks a lot more complicated than this and is stretched. Think you could help me out?
What about lowering the forks, did you do that?
Will that hold? The spaces between the holes are too thin.
Hi, Thank you for making this video can you send me the link I’d like to buy the same for my bike I have a 2003 FZ1 Yamaha. Thanks
Recommendations for the lowering links for a 2003 R6?
Will this work the same for my H2
Did you do a video on the front??
I found both. I checked bolts : 17mm at the top and 14mm at the bottom. Question is if the holes on the link will work with this bike? I am asking because the description says this link won't fit to my 1998
Suzuki Bandit 1200s. I could not find any links that says fit to 1998.
I will appreciate your comment on this.
Did you do anything to the front?
If I lower the back 2 inches do I drop the front 2 inches as well
What brand are the lowering links and can you put a link where you purchased them from
Will the under fairings rub?
I lowered mine today cbr500r..2.25 inches.. i came home run over hump something is hitting so maybe that the UNDER FAIRING???
Just bought a lowered 07 r6. I’m 6.2” how do I get it back to normal height please? Any video and list of what I need ? Thanks
If the links on your bike have multiple holes , you just use the hole closest to the other end
GREAT VIDEO!! Thorough instructions. 🧐
It’s good video👌🏾👌🏾 can I do it for mt7??
Very good video, thanks!
Where did you get your parts from ? And how did you lower the front forks ?
No chain adjustments after lowering?
So you have increased the rake - how did you find the handling? I am going the opposite way +25mm of head angle to have more feel from the front and steer quicker
can you add a link to where you bought the link.
When you lower the level of the bike, does it harm the bike in the future in terms of taking turns or comfort when driving?
It will make your bikes handling a lot worse. Lowering a sports bike makes cornering harder
Do you lower the front by the same amount as the back? Meaning 2 inch drop in the back, do you drop the front 2 inches?
Brilliant! Thank you for sharing.
What kind of bike is this?
Where you get them from
Sorry can anyone help me to see if i can install thiese lowering links to my 2008 honda cbr1000 please thank you
You video very good, can you show how to lowest the front too?
You safe my life thanks man keep doing same like this
What bike is that???
Does the rear have to be on a stand or can the tire be on the ground ?
I’m trying to find part 2, how to lower the front?
Also, where’s a good cheap source for an adjustable kickstand?
Brocks, if you have a common bike
Now what about part two of the front end?
Don’t ever forget to check your chain slack with your new geometry lads. Also remember your lean angle will change dramatically.
Thanks for sharing brother 🎉
Cheers 👍
Nice vidéo man

Whats the riders height? Can 5'3 also ride h2?
Is it mandatory to lower the front once you lowered the back?
absolutely necessary. find some way to attach a torpedo level to the bike and check how it sits before you lower it. then check again after the work is done to make sure its sitting the same. ride height/steering geometry is important, fuck it up at your own risk. it can be an inch closer to the ground but as long as the angles of everything are the same, hard to go wrong =D

Good video man. Appreciate it.
How tall do you have to be(in cm) to flat foot a r1?
Did you had to lower the front?
how high was you seat height before the links?
