      @@ProactiveResilience well, thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. It’s wonderful to meet you.
      My sister, who is 23, is struggling in a rehabilitation hospital right now. Her boyfriend of two years has beaten her badly. She is detoxing and recovering. We are devastated. My mother is a narcissist. It’s all about her. She said that my sister wasn’t remorseful enough for her to go and be with her in such a state, so I lost it. I completely unleashed my pain on my mother. Her abuse. The way she used to beat us. The abuse we endured at her hand. I just let her hear it all. And now I feel so free. I cut her off completely. I’ve blocked her from all ways of contacting me. I’m done with her. Now I’m just focused on my sister and her recovery. It’s very sad to see her the way she is, and I’m just trying my best to be here for her. It’s hard to deal with all of this but finding your channel and understanding the role that the narcissist plays in traumatizing their children is helping me heal so much. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. ☀️

    Hi Allisun, I was wondering if you would recommend the coaching program you went through or if you know of some other ones that are also good. I am a survivor of a dysfunctional family system and have spent the last few years healing. I feel that I am ready to start helping others. It's so important for people like us to speak up and help because we have a perspective that many doctors and therapists do not have. You truly make me feel seen and I would love to help others in that same way. Much love, Hope

      Hi Hope! You have brightened my day SO much, just so you know. You make meeee feel seen. 🥰 I SO RECOMMEND THE PROGRAM!!!! It's called the international association of trauma recovery coaching. You can be certified by taking their initial course. I work with them now so we would be seeing each other, as well, which is an added bonus! Much love!! Whether it be this program or another, I hope you find something amazing!

      @@INFPProductions Hi Hope! The program was overall very good. I am just now finishing up my portfolio for submission to receive my certificate. Bobbi and the whole team are incredible people and the coursework is all great...I would say its a high quality program. The cost is absolutely reasonable given all you get. You get SO many resources as well throughout the program it's mind-boggling so keep a list handy! There are new workshops being created right now that can support afterwards as you build your business and to continue doing practice coaching with other coaches even after the 6 month program concludes.
      There are 3 books to read for the program but they are to read on your own they are not assigned as homework but they are often referred to. I would highly recommend getting started even now on a coupe of them one is CPTSD from Surviving to Thriving by Pete Walker (I would read this one first) and the other is The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel Van Der Kolk. He pioneered a lot of the somatic work which is so critical for healing from trauma..he and all these trauma peeps have vids on UA-cam as well. Also the work of Stephen Porges and Polyvagal Theory. The one critical piece of trauma recovery that I hadn't yet focused on in my own healing is Shame nor did I realize is the master emotion and "binds" with other emotions and just that it is so foundational for understand and healing from trauma..shame hides in all kinds of ways and you really have to study it up close to figure it out..this was a mind-blowing discovery for me in this program. There is a teacher within the program that you will have and she is so wonderful and she's become pretty much a shame expert....I would also recommend reading Brene Brown's book that focuses on shame called I Thought It Was Just Me (but it isn't).
      Each week there is a theme and you read materials on that theme and then the homework on it is due every Monday. It's a totally reasonable amount...for me it was hard because I'm a single parent with a full time job..but if you don't have that a situation..it won't be hard. It is totally okay if you turn in assignments late. You will learn a lot and get triggered and also heal as you do the program, it's intense for sure, but it's really a beautiful process and just so very supportive.A few weeks in you will have a Mentor...take full advantage of this and ask as many questions as you can during your meetings and also bring your questions and observations that you will have as you do the practice coaching sessions...your mentor will give you great feedback.
      The down side of the program was mostly that the association is growing really rapidly right now, so at times certain communication was frustrating and other little things...and I don't really like Mighty Networks all that much, which is the platform that hosts the program, but that's just my deal...some like it, some don't. I was told the people in my program were very vocal about the things that could be frustrating to deal with, so they will likely have some of those things ironed out...definitely a little deal, just requires some patience, but if you get in a jam...Allisun is a great point of contact for when you need something! I say go for it and hope you enjoy it...let me know if you have any questions that may arise! Be well! ~ Jenn

    Great video and so happy that so many aspects of your life are falling into place for you. Please would you do a video on healthy relationship skills? I'm 53 and have C-ptsd. My 4 year marriage is struggling due to my difficulties in communicating my needs in a healthy way xx

    • @ProactiveResilience
      @ProactiveResilience  3 роки тому +2

      Thank you! I can add it to the list! I think relationships are a most important aspect of life to study, nurture and enjoy. I'm very interested in sharing skills that I've learned like communicating needs in a healthy way. Before a video i create, though, I recommend the book Nonviolent Communication. There is a free audiobook version on UA-cam. The book's main concept is that emotions have underlying needs, and that we can express our needs and solutions to what our problems are based on those needs, and see that other peoples' expressions of emotion hide underlying needs beneath that they are trying to fulfill, too. It's great, great, great! I wish you luck in moving forward communicating effectively! I believe in you!!

    I look forward to your freeform videos. I think they are cool because it is more casual. When I watch videos of people just kind of shooting the shit with the camera, its like having a virtual friend or something. This approach is different than developing a video with an underlying focus and a specific purpose. Those types of videos are more informative and require me to tune in with a more receptive/learning/critical mindset. You know, its like I'm on the edge of my seat really trying to rack my brain around your teachings (not that they are complicated, but rather, they are extremely important/relevant/significant). I suppose that can be demanding on the mind.
    And, I really dig just your essence and being. Sometimes I just have your videos playing in the background while I'm doing stuff. It's just like having a really pleasant person in the room. LOL. This is the future, very interesting......
    Your bit about narcissism inspire some thoughts pertaining to your dilemma. To combat the narcissism, I suggest switching it up. When you start feeling narcissistic about exhibiting your more raw self, then do some more informative videos. And, if you feel narcissistic about being some high-level guru with teachings of great importance, go back to doing more raw free-form content. Then, if you start feeling narcissistic about having conquered narcissism, then remember the perspective about approaching life with pure love, authenticity and joy. Just how important is it to vendetta against narcissism? I'd say, don't beat yourself up too hard about being a human. We all are. lol. We can't fully part with our egos until we have transcended life itself, upon death. We just have to do our best in the meantime.
