So it never dawned on you that a Volvo motor wouldn't be supported in the middle of the country, when the vast majority of Volvos are in saltwater.
I doubt he was talking about Washington State as almost every boat dealer here sells Yamaha here. Yamahas outsell mercury by at least two to one here.
He's in Southern California
Here in Orange County CA most Marina Outboards are dominated by Yamaha
So what I am getting is all out boards are the same, just make sure you have a good mechanic to fix it what ever brand you have. Correct??
That sums it up on the new side, there are some on the older side to stay away from but tech and manufacturing processes/tolerances have improved a ton in the past 14-20 year
I would never buy a Mercury.
Why?
@@BoatBuyersSecretWeapon because I'm a sailor aircraft mechanic engineer. If you were flying in a single engine plane would you want that engine to be really good or just sometimes good? I've seen too many Mercury's with the cowl off on the water. Never a mercury for me.
