Beau, Thanks for this vid, I bought the Elevate M&T jig 2yrs ago mine was the non adjust one about 6months after I had it I was routing a tennon & I slipped my bit hit the template put a gouge in it wrecked the bit. I called Chris He was so Awesome he sent me the adjustable jib & charged me like $50. So anybody watching this vid Please buy your jigs from Elevate lutherie , Made in the USA. Beau you are Awesome👍👍🎸🎼🎹🇺🇸🇺🇸👨🏻🦯
I use this setup too , and just ordered the dovetail version also. Nice tools. Your video recommendation for the spinning clamp stand thing for spraying SunBurst finishes in front of the spray booth was appreciated also.
Excellent video Beau, and timely as I had just purchased this. I would love for you to do a review on Chris' Ultimate Binding Jig. Maybe he could loan you one for that purpose 🙂
Thanks for the tutorial of Chris's Elevate jig, I'm fixin' to order one. Thanks also for the bonus jigs and Barry! I want a Berry, how do I get one (I dont have the capability to make a precise Berry like your Berry). I wish Chris would have used your design with acrylic. Whiteside bit numbers @7:30 #3004, 3001 and bearing # B9. On to watch your Neck Angle video......
Chris now makes Barry, but I only show his version in The video once. The see through Perspex doesn’t matter. His one is well made :) Next video I’ll be doing will be the Elevate rosette cutter :)
New to lutherie here, and maybe I missed you talk about it, but generally isn’t there a slight angle at the neck joint to accommodate the height of the bridge and saddle? How do you plan and set up for that? Or am I overthinking it? I have been looking at this jig for a while and have been avoiding this part of my project. I plan on buying the jig with your recommended add-ons. Thanks for the long format video!
Thanks for watching :) You are talking about "Setting the neck" or "Setting the neck angle", which is whole different thing to simply cutting the mortise and tenon. Setting the neck can take some time to get good at. I have a video on it!
I bet tha 7/8 is a bear to reset .. lots of sanding ... probably would have to hog out a lot with the chisel before even scribe sanding.. lot of wood there for sure .
Thanks for watching- I hope you learnt all about how to do this :)
Oh Glory Be ! You've posted it ! Been waiting with baited breathe for this 😃
Hahha- :) filmed in Feb and finally got it done. You will know all there is to know after watching it. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks Scott. Chris is very accommodating. Try the 1/2” bit with a second bearing.
@@BeauHannamGuitars Yes adding the 2nd bearing is a Great idea I’m going to do that for sure also your jigs are a great idea.
This has been very helpful ...thank you Beau.
My pleasure

Very interesting! Stupid question: Would it also work for electric tenons? Thank you for your input!
Thanks. Electric tenons are usually the width of the end of the neck, not 7/8” or 3/4” which these jigs are. So no.
If you’re interested in selling the first version jig, I’d be interested.
Hi David- send me an email- beau@beauhannamguitars.com
Still interested?

I let the router do the work :)
