Gotta admit, these are really growing on me. There's a channel on YT called Empty Nest or something like that where they travel around on a Ranger Tug. So much you can do with them. Looking forward to the rest of the series...love that 31 with the fly bridge.
I like outboard power too! Those Ranger mini Tugs look like good quality They would sell in the UK I reckon From the videos they look better builtthan the French offerings which are very popular Here Nice channel Guys subscribed yesterday!😄✌
If I could afford the gas to drive a ranger tug around I would love a used one someday. I'm never going into the ocean so I chose a C Dory 22 cruiser instead. 250 mile range on 46 gallons of gas with a 7 inch draft has many advantages for an inshore/river/creek fisherman like myself. One day if I could swing it financially I would love to own and operate a Ranger Tug. They are more complicated vessels with more things that can go wrong but also a far more luxurious option than my current pocket cruiser. I enjoyed the video. God bless. 😊
We toured a 27 at a local boat show a few months back. I felt the bathroom and berth were made for people below 5’ 5”. I get it is a pocket yacht, but for that price their were others boats that offered more room for the same price point.
@@HarborYachtTours In my opinion , the hull construction is very thin and of poor quality . Just under 1/4 '' total thickness , my crack was near the keel . Standard boat builder practice is to overlap the layers of fiberglass roving at the keel ( port /starboard ) . Also had ABYC code infractions . More info is on my social media .
Quality is good, but not great. They are planing hulls, not displacement. Had a 2021 R25, sold it after having some issues due to poor quality control.
Ridiculous pricing very strange design narrow beam boat in the Atlantic? Side decks of 4 inches ? Always amazes me as an old sailboat guy how powerboats many times miss the concept of getting to a foredeck safely . Anchor gets fouled and fresh breeze is kicking up …. So you have 4 inches …. For this money get a Pursuit made in Florida for Florida waters

I'll check it out thanks.

I agree thanks for watching
It’s a 300 hp Yamaha. Not a 250. I’ve had mine for 3 years. Lovin it.
Is it trailerable?

Buy a pocket yacht get a pocket potty lol
I want to get the R-27 to do the Loop solo and other cruising.
Perfect little boat to do it in.
I had a 2018 R27 OB and had issues with it . Great concept but need better quality control in my personal opinion .
What type of issues came up?

@@rangertruth4776 thanks for the heads up. I did always think the topsides caps felt thin and chintzy

Thanks for the heads up. I have a salvage Ranger 29 coming up this weekend.
An outboard powered trawler yacht kind of defeats the purpose of having a displacement hull.
Actually the Ranger Tugs are real value-for-money come to think of it. But they're still butt ugly to me. Haha.
Loving a brand new boat isnt even a thing.
Loving the same boat after 25-30 years is a statement people would consider valid.
Agreed and same with a woman.
What an April Fools Joke🎉 they want a quarter million dollars
Have you seen how much new boats go for? A 32 ft sundancer is over 400k.

I’d love a pursuit
Where are Pursuits built?
