I've seen a few different content creators sing the praises of Crawdaunt. It's one of those Pokemon that struggles on its own but can shine with proper support! (Mostly Trick Room or slow pivot moves.) And unlike some other "low tier" Pokemon who might just not have much going on, Crawdaunt being able to simply click attack, do damage is a valuable asset! This team comp wasn't as crazy as some of your previous ones but it's always cool seeing a Pokemon punching above its weight class!
Crawdaunt was always one of my favorite Pokémon I’ve never used. It always looked cool and seemed pretty strong, but being a gen 3 mon, there were a bunch other water mons that always ended up on my team instead. For the newer generations I try and use as many new Pokémon on my team as I can so it makes it hard for me to ever use it. Cool to see it’s full power
I would love to see a team revolving around Noivern as a sweeper. Everyone uses Noivern as a support with Tailwind but Boomburst is an absolutely devastating attack if you don't accidentally ko your own teammate. Noivern sweeper is a ton of fun when people expect it to be a weak support tailwind setter and then get one shot by it instead
I used a good bit of crawdawnt as a kid in ruby. I always really liked his design. Many of my favorites tend to be considered not meta. So it's nice to see that a lot of the traditionally weaker pokemon look like they are much more usable this generation. Because of support from newer Pokemon that didn't exist back in their home gens, and because of terastilization. As boring as terastilization is aesthetically. You can't can't deny that it is a great mechanic for competitive battling. Oh and of course many older pokemon getting access to new moves really helps viability too. Another one of my favorites is Yanmega, and apparently somebody in tournament has been performing really well recently with a team that utilizes him. I feel like this gen might be one of the best in terms of making older/weaker Pokemon viable.
Thank you! I really appreciate that a lot, my hope for this series is just to show how fun (and frustrating) it can be to use the ‘mons you really like, even if they’re not the best on paper
Rewatching this and I bet this team/crawdaunt would do well in reg H considering rain prominence and lack of strong fairies. Obviously you would need a raging bolt replacement but that doesn’t feel like it would be too difficult to find
His signature move "Crabhammer" is more powerful btw! You should run that next time you use Crawdaunt, that could KO Iron Hands with instruct first game
Brother use knock off, don’t use crunch Also I appreciate the use of underrated mons, or at least usable bad mons, sadly gen 9’s meta has been really unfriendly to Crawdaunt, like u mentioned at the beginning of the video. And usually metagame matchups make or break a Pokémon.
Crawdaunt needed its dark type move to cover the ‘mons that resisted its water STAB, and a lot of the protosynthesis users + Ogerpon would have benefitted from Knock Off only ever being 65 base power
The poor Lobster lacks the bulk even if you put a item that increases your defenses it’s not enough but hey atleast you got the claws to show what potential it has 👍🦞
You're one of the most creative pokemon content creators slam, for real. Keep it up dude!
Thank you! Seriously, comments like these are what keep me motivated :)
I look forward to your Pokemon lofi music edits almost as much as I do the rest of the ranked ladder content!
Haha thanks so much!

I love that silly lobster
me too! I love that it was actually good, too
@@slamgaming32 I got so excited to see you make a team with him I used it in the dlcs and am so excited to use it in battles.

Your videos are a blast as always, specially the breakdown in the beginning, you remind us how fun pokemon can be !
Thank you! I really appreciate that a lot, my hope for this series is just to show how fun (and frustrating) it can be to use the ‘mons you really like, even if they’re not the best on paper
Crawdaunt is one of my fav mons
Your PFP is Keckleon, how does colour change interact with tera? Could it work?
i wish we could try! but unfortunately it's not in SV :(
I love this series. Keep it going!

Really enjoying the series, keep it up! Have we considered Grumpig?
His signature move "Crabhammer" is more powerful btw! You should run that next time you use Crawdaunt, that could KO Iron Hands with instruct first game
Already another banger
thanks!
I think Eiscue could be good on a snow team
ice face can be hit or miss, but with tera an belly drum it might have a shot
its weird because it doesn't have blizzard, which is THE snow move, but it can work
@@voltrya6844 it’s a belly drum user usually anyways
I don’t know if it’s much of a VGC reject, but I would love to see an infernape team
Every time you make a video it inspires me to play vgc. You were the reason I started vgc as well. Also you should try and make camerupt work
thank you so much! I am so happy to hear that you're playing, too - I want to give camerupt a try, too, it's one of my favorite Hoenn 'mons
No problem, as a person who likes using weaker mons too I love seeing them dominate and get some use
How come you used liquidation over crabhammer? Is it because of the accuracy? Also these vids are so good and I'm looking forward to the next one!
I would so love to see Banette 🖤
Hey I love yor vids... You said you're a Johto fan so can you please show me how to use Meganium in VGC please (i just love chikorita for some reason)
I’ve been tinkering with a Meganium team! First pass didn’t go well haha
I love this series. I hope Alolan Exeggutor is next
Thanks! I’ll add it to the list of poll candidates!
Back with another banger😩sceptile next?🥹

he he.....silly lobster go BRRRRRRR
I always thought the blue part on crawdawnt face was its lips 😅
HELL YEAH! CRAWDAUNT!
🦞
@@slamgaming32🦞+🌑+❤️= crawdaunt
Use crabhammer instead of liquidation and knock off instead of crunch
Why not bug type on golem? Resist grass, fighting, and ground.
Needed a way around amoonguss spore under trick room!
Bro I’m tapping into your brain for ideas team
I think that the kingdra was a dragon cheer + sniper set
totally agree
Are these going to get into Reg G at all? Or are these all Reg F
Once Reg G officially starts on cartridge (May 1), the series will be all Reg G!
Why crunch instead of knock off??
Crawdaunt needed its dark type move to cover the ‘mons that resisted its water STAB, and a lot of the protosynthesis users + Ogerpon would have benefitted from Knock Off only ever being 65 base power
Please use Houndoom
USE KNOCKOFF
The poor Lobster lacks the bulk even if you put a item that increases your defenses it’s not enough but hey atleast you got the claws to show what potential it has 👍🦞
completely agree, there's too much speed, power, and priority to make it work on a team not specificly built to counter its weaknesses
