@SRH420ful very smart. An umbrella today would have had me flying like Marry Poppins 😆 in that wind But ya, especially those hot, humid summer days. A chair and an umbrella are key to a good day....also a good cooler for cold drinks 🍸 😎
Thumpr, Thanks again for the reports. I braved the wind to peddle across the lagoon yesterday. Launch was cool bonus. Had to of been one of my best days ever, saw and caught so many Reds. In the cleaner water got to witness what worked (all artificial) or rejected for such a learning experience. Can't wait till next week.
@neilmaclarty8572 oh very cool. Thought about taking the yak out yesterday as well, but the weather report was all over the place..changing every couple hours, so figured I'd just take it easy and do a little shore fishing. But ya, I agree...what a beautiful day. Rocket launches and reds. Where else can you go and see that.🤩 I'm glad you had a great day too. The last few times, I fished clear water and was able to watch my lure and fish's reactions to it. Completely changed up how I retrieve and pause my lure. It's definitely a learning experience when you can watch it all go down. I definitely will have to get the kayak out next week. Tight lines 😁🤙
@FishingAroundFlorida it really is a good practice... especially inshore fishing. The whole 90 ....10. 90% of fosh in 10% of water. So the biggest factor sometimes is finding them. So if you do.....stay stay stay 😆 unfortunately, a storm coming forsed me to play it safe and go back. Was nice to get back out after a crazy past week.🥴
Great video. I was doing a lot of fishing along the impound roads and peacocks pocket is a great road. You are really high and can really sightfish. I have an ebike and a trailer. I put rod holders on my bike. I caught my biggest snook out there.
Very cool. I have a older heavy heavy ebike with a basket and a few rod holders....it's just a pain to fit in the car.😫 One of those foldable ebikes would be cool 😎 I've only been down peacocks pocket 2 times. Definitely plan to go back eventually. I like to go all over 😆 I haven't caught a good snook this year... but I have been doing really well with reds and black drums.😊
@carson7wayne was using a BKK 1/0 light circle hook. For bait, was using what I shared in the video. Catching ladyfish in the small.ponds around me....chopped up into 1-2" chunks....doesn't get much fresher. They went crazy for it. Lady is my favorite bait for redfish
@@ThumprFishing I’m a charter Capt in N Fl. Ladyfish is a great bait when sharks are not running here the sharks love them too because they’re so bloody. Enjoy your video.
Nice video! Awesome day of land based fishing!!!
@donmorin5611 it really was. I'm hoping to get the kayak out next week, but the weather is looking like it might be bad most the week 😕
great video, my wagon now includes a beach umbrella and a chair huge difference way more comfort in the summer trout fishing on the grass is on fire
