I really wish that third restaurant would have made it. It was so nice to see Gordon being kind and understanding and to see owners who were actually trying.
Something that really pisses me off about Brian is that he doesn’t understand that you need to be passionate to do things. You need passion to run a business. You need passion to cook. Passion helps create the best things. Gordon has passion for cooking, that’s why he’s successful. With passion, comes drive and motivation. You can be driven and motivated with passion but you won’t get the best products. Your best comes from your passion and Brain literally has none at all.
100% He was straight up right about the issue too. Really telling about the owner how he took it too. "You work for me", not for long with how quickly the place shut down! Maybe if he climed down off his high horse and listened to his staff the ship could have been righted without Gordon, every fucking staff member knew what the main problem was.
Yup, I was so disappointed in the owner for that. He clearly didn't feel strong enough to stand up to Pinto's bs, so he took it out on the waiter who was just telling the truth and in a pretty respectful way.
And the owner was like "he said some out of pocket things" like what?? Maybe saying to fire someone was a bit much bit he didn't even say anything unreasonable beyond that
If you ever wonder how you should treat waitstaff, look to Gordon Ramsey. Even when the food is terrible, the decor dated and the owners incompetent, he NEVER takes it out on the staff. Especially since they're usually more honest and hard lworking than the owners, and get the brunt of people's anger when something is wrong.
Also when he make jokes roasting bad dishes he would joke around with the waiters but when the owners or chef laugh with him he would be pissed. This is subtle but really shows he is reasonable😢

I actually think there’s a sanitary aspect to the machines as well and it is actually kind of cruel. It’s a small tank and the lobsters apparently Aspirate on air when they are pulled out and that does cause pain. It would kind of be like dunking an air breathing animal in and out of water.
"people who are willing to listen without putting up a fight" Yet, when Brian calls out the bullshit on Pinto and the way the restaurant was being managed, the owner straight up disrespects him in the most condescending way possible. Hmm.
Ugh that second restaurant 🤢 not only an incompetent owner but staff so unaware of their surroundings they serve cake from a fridge where "bubbling" shrimp is stored right above it 💀
homestyle cooking will always do better then the more highend and expensive foods, especially in smaller towns where most people don't make a ton of money and tend want somewhere more casual to eat with friends or family.
Honestly I prefer a mix of both. Like homemade cooking with a bit of a twist to make it a bit different then something you’d make at home. Nothing like super duper extravagant or out there, but nice lil add ons or different ways of making it

Worked at a restaurant for a year. I would never claim to be a veteran of the industry, or even above average in the knowledge I have for working in restaurants. But still, every night we cleaned, made sure food was put away properly, and we had a health inspector stop by twice within that 1 year and passed us with an A rating. I seriously do not understand how this many restaurants don't do the most basic shit, like not storing fucking cooked chicken with raw chicken. And do these places not get health inspector visits??? Like I genuinely don't know, we dealt with one twice in a year at our place. Where are the health inspectors for these places???
Some places take longer for the health inspectors to get to them, and unless things are "a customer will die here if they eat the food" they usually only get warnings and shit.
I'm shocked that there were no lawsuits for people getting terribly sick at these places. Maybe that information was simply not edited into the episodes.
Could be bribes. I worked as a Jersey inspector for a year and half and quit since it was a soul-killing job. (I had been hired to replace an inspector who was taking bribes and buying drugs in NYC on work time.)

Well clearly you’re wrong 🙄🙄 I mean get real dude they’re basically the same thing

"Fresh frozen? There's no such thing!" No truer words ever spoken. And you can't refreeze meat. Once it's thawed you have to cook it or toss it. Only two options. I may not particularly care for Gordon Ramsey's TV persona, but he knows his food and his food safety!!! Two people I wouldn't argue with: Gordon Ramsey and Jon Taffer!
Chihuahua and Doberman: exists
David: I see no difference. Same animal, no?
Canine americanus no?
They are the same animal, they're both dogs. Just different breeds. Of course, that means they're different from each other in many ways but saying they're the same animal is not incorrect. 😂
They’re both slim dogs with pointy ears. Clearly the same.

Gordon don’t play around when a plate comes back 😂😂😂 Gordon be on that plate like white on rice
Interesting how in the first episode instead of terrible (terrible not bad) food being the downfall like most restaurants on this show it was lack of communication that was their downfall
"The problem started when we started to run low on money." Such an attitude means their situation is probably unsalvageable because they don't even recognize that some deeper problem caused them to run low on money.
Fun fact: Black Pearl closed soon after the episode aired, and owners blamed Gordon, insulting him with names like “Gordo”
Oh its waaaaay more than that lol....read the whiny ass letter David wrote about GR in which he wishes an "untimely death" so he can "dance on his grave" 😄
I bet David started trashing on his own restaurant to make it failed just to get back at Gordon. He such a sore loser 😂

A bar near my house has one but half the lobsters are dead so now it's more of a local joke or dare to eat one
Stupid question but does the claw like actually function or is it just there for looks?

Something that really pisses me off about Brian is that he doesn’t understand that you need to be passionate to do things. You need passion to run a business. You need passion to cook. Passion helps create the best things. Gordon has passion for cooking, that’s why he’s successful. With passion, comes drive and motivation. You can be driven and motivated with passion but you won’t get the best products. Your best comes from your passion and Brain literally has none at all.
I like these iconic triple releases, gives me something to watch.
Can you link the first one? I can't seem to find it.

I did this so I could look at the cat OwO.
david is seriously a movie villain 💀
Brian is a legend. Called out pinto and the owner on their shit.
The owner picked a dumb time to get a back bone. Brian was saving that dining room.
I would've absolutely supported them if they wanted to jump David lol.
@juice box 😂😂 I'll see you there.. 👊🏿
That couple at the end was so so lovely, literally gives me so much hope for love, the moment at the end was so sweet. And Frick pinto bro

Gotta admire Gordon's energy 🤯
06:40 well, he likes the waiter. Always. He's a prince
I think if I’ve learned anything from this show it’s “don’t start a restaurant with your friends/co-workers”
Never start ANY business with your spouse/husband, family, friends or co-workers. The moment the tensions go over your head you'll not only perhaps lose your business, you sure as hell will lose an important person in your life.
Watching Gordon tear into david is like watching a crocodile gator roll a zebra
You can tell how old that first episode is from that lobster claw machine... that's considered unethical today 😅
I’m sure you wouldn’t like that if you were the lobster 😭
Wouldn’t like being boiled alive either but we still do it so I’m fine with a machine. Once the lobster says to stop then I’ll stop.
@@vernonhoffmann1115 I literally agree with what youre saying but the way you've worded it makes me hate your guts lmao
@@Juno_Verse_ It's the lack of empathy that does it- You can state unfortunate or upsetting facts without being a completely out-of-touch asshole.
I actually think there’s a sanitary aspect to the machines as well and it is actually kind of cruel. It’s a small tank and the lobsters apparently Aspirate on air when they are pulled out and that does cause pain. It would kind of be like dunking an air breathing animal in and out of water.
As someone from Maine all her life I can say we season our lobster rolls.

"people who are willing to listen without putting up a fight"
Yet, when Brian calls out the bullshit on Pinto and the way the restaurant was being managed, the owner straight up disrespects him in the most condescending way possible. Hmm.
Also when their restaurant failed, they blamed Gordon R. No one likes a blamer.
Ugh that second restaurant 🤢 not only an incompetent owner but staff so unaware of their surroundings they serve cake from a fridge where "bubbling" shrimp is stored right above it 💀
This UA-cam video got me to go binge an entire season
I don't remember the part where he actually got mad about being called Panini head that shit's hilarious love you Gordon you tried
Gordon is a man we all know when he says hes busting his balls making a restaurant successful, hes telling the truth.
homestyle cooking will always do better then the more highend and expensive foods, especially in smaller towns where most people don't make a ton of money and tend want somewhere more casual to eat with friends or family.
Honestly I prefer a mix of both. Like homemade cooking with a bit of a twist to make it a bit different then something you’d make at home. Nothing like super duper extravagant or out there, but nice lil add ons or different ways of making it

Those last owners were absolutely the sweetest couple ever! I don't dare look them up to see the outcome years later, but in my head they were supported by loyal and competent employees as they built a thriving restaurant, until they hired a manager so they could enjoy a fantastic retirement.

The yellow tape almost killed me. So dramatic. lmao. No restaurant ever does that.
David is freaking insane! " going down to time Square with a guy in a lobster outfit isn't going to bring anyone to the restaurant" like my guy, if Gordon Ramsey himself says to go to a restaurant every single person in earshot is going to be there.
“It wasn’t stinking.””you’re blind my friend”
" well that was unpleasant I think he's too confrontational."
I thought he was being very pleasant
Wait, what? Did I just hear that right?
"Just because food is coming back doesn't mean I'm a bad cook..."
No Pinto, it means you're a terrible cook! Does this guy actually have any training?? Or does he just have no common sense at all?
Now I see what everyone is talking about concerning Pinto. He snowed that couple, convinced them that he’s the bomb, studied in Italy. They aren’t foodies, apparently, if they think what he’s doing is good. He’s totally taking advantage of them. And with his arrogance, I’m sure that even if they had doubts about his food, they’re too scared to say anything to him.
Shameful man.

I liked how he made pinto ADMIT if it was 'his' restaurant he wouldn't do the things he was doing there .
Those couple at cafe 36 have definitely been taken advantage by Pinto. I would have catch up with that immediately if I’m running that place. Think about it. Heart of success of a restaurant - food which is directly related to who cook it the chef. Second service & third location👌🏻👍🏻🌻
I think that last episode was maybe the only time when Chef Ramsay wasn't screaming at the owner(s).
The couple episode melted me... at the beginning of the video I can really see the posh- respectuos side of Gordon:" I don't want to hurt your feelings, don't get me wrong" - the most common phrase in UK. Luv ya Gordon 💜💜💜💜
It's baffling. I've worked in several restaurants throughout the years and I've never seen anything like what's on kitchen nightmares.
"we're excited" says David as he nods off, half asleep, he's like a snail made a wish to be a human.
Ooooh the Hannah and Mason's episode is a rarity.
