    The thing I like the most about what you guys are doing is the fact that we can now take our Dragonborn character and have him or her go get into more crazy adventures post-Alduin. And basically just see what else is going on in Tameriel. Instead of them just disappearing forever going into the next game, we get to see where they've gone when the main Skyrim story ends. The idea of a reputation also really appeals to me.

    • @tamriel4243

      These are so big they probably want you to make a new character, I could be wrong

    • @mrwest15
      @mrwest15 5 років тому +9

      @@tamriel4243 I mean, with the Bruma release I was able to take my preestablished Dragonborn, tell the guard that I slew Alduin, and he let me pass into Cyrodiil . So, unless something during production changed, I'd imagine it wouldn't matter what where you started and where you can go. but yes, a lot of these places will essentially be their own game so installing it all will probably be a bitch to all hardware.

      @@mrwest15 Tamriel is right. The pacing in ES games is already poor as is, you're going to want mods that reduce skill gains by 50 to 100.. so if it took 10 sword swings to raise one handed it will take 1000. You're going to be in full Daedric playing Skyrim in no time flat if not. If they are making these similar to scale as Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, there will be 200+ quests of all sorts. The dream would be having all of the BS content complete so you can make a new character and travel between them when you want some new scenery and quests, not assblasting content with level 90 characters. Maybe by 2025 at the soonest is my guess.

    • @mrwest15
      @mrwest15 5 років тому +2

      @@gregmccauley1687 I'm not going to sit here and say that you're wrong, because you very well could be right. But I've heard different things. From what I know, they're only releasing these projects for SE, which is supposed to be a much stabler game and able to handle more complex mods.
      And just from what I'm hearing you can go from province to province from one entry point into another so regardless there's going to be connective tissue to the original Skyrim play-through, whether you are a new character or not. And the shear size of these mods aside, I feel like they could do a different method of allowing you to take a pre-exsisting character and put him or her into a new land, via something similar to a Save Import feature akin to the Dragon Age games, keeping the games the mods possibly separate from the main game but still connected through save importing.
      And you can solve the level 90+ player thing by having the CPU scale with you when you enter a new land. A perk generator similar to ASIS could solve that issue.
      Again, I'm not saying you're wrong, I've just heard different things, particularly on a few of the trailers specifically stating you can "start a new character or use an old one". So, unless you've heard differently, that's what I heard last and if that has since changed during the production of these mods within the last year or so, then okay. But the only thing I've heard that's happening that's changed for an absolute fact is that this is ONLY coming out for SE.

    • @gregmccauley1687
      @gregmccauley1687 5 років тому +1

      @@mrwest15 my understanding is there's no limitation on where your character can travel. If you want to bring a level 90 character you can, but you'll likely have less fun. Good items come way too quickly for the massive increase in world size they are planning.

Bethesda has hundreds of professionals working full time on projects of this size and they still take 5 years. Might be able to cut the quests to 100 and still have it feel full, but it's hard to say. Skyrim has nearly 300 and going to some small villages looking for stuff to do can still make it seem empty.

They are one of my favourite flowers, and my main character hails from Western High Rock, so knowing that these pretty flowers can be found everywhere over there makes me way more happy than it should!

      The point is, that beyond skyrim is a great project (to say the least), but is implimented into the engine oftes5. With the release of tes6 we will get something similar to the original tes5, which of course will be less impressive at first, than a well modded version of skyrim. But as soon as tes6 is out, I'm pretty sure, that many skyrim mod authors who created the great content which makes skyrim so great, will go on and create just as beautiful content for tes6. So tes6 (for me) is more important than any skyrim mod, just because of its potential.

    How will Daggerfall's multiple endings be reconciled in the lore? I know they all technically happened because of the dragon break, so I guess my question is how will the dragon break be worked around? Or is it too far into the future to matter anyway

    • @jon9428
      @jon9428 5 років тому +2

      If dragonbreaks exist what even needs to be worked around? That kinda fixes the whole problem.

    I'm so excited for this because I'm doing a playthrough rn with an Imperial (Colovian specifically) born in the Imperial City but his father was a traveling merchant and decided to set up in High Rock going from kingdom to kingdom selling his wears, so my character basically grew up all around High Rock. It'd be really awesome for RP purposes.

    Also, if you could bring Gopher into one of these discussions I'd be one happe Dragonborn :).

      Nick Siegfried pretty much my sentiments. Plus ESO is actually a very capable game in its own right and ZOS has done a wonderful job on every new area added to the game in both story and detail. Orsinium is still my favorite region and Summerset is an absolute passion project by the level designers. Also Cyrodiil PVP is wicked

    Now that Bethesda are in an ever-increasing shitshow with their buggier, microtransaction-laden releases, I have zero faith in them producing TES VI to the same expectations as everyone is hoping.

    I have literally watched a bit of this each night for the last week. I don’t have words for this project I value this as DLC this is DLC crafted with the same Care that I have seen so far, from Bethesda I am proud to say that I am looking forward to this more than elder scrolls six for they are both fairy tales but this one seems more unrealistic and ambitious and yet it’s all too real and might actually come out!!!! I would never want art to be rushed through I want the whole story you want to tell. Time Constraints are a bad one buddy
