@@mdlink623 I used to play chess against a couple friends, none of us read any chess book or did any training. We just played games all the time and figured what worked/what didn't work. When I started playing online I saw my rating, and saw that what we were playing actually had names (the openings) but we didn't know any of that. Still good enough for 1500'ish.

Guess The Elo can never ever get boring, it's the only series on UA-cam I have watched every episode of at least 5 times minimum. It could run for 5000 episodes like some obscure never-ending Indian TV show and I would still watch every episode. Netflix & Chill? Nah, it's GTE & Chill now.

@@kristofferopstad2203 When I’m eating, I usually go through the GTE playlist and look for an episode I haven’t watched in a long time. When there’s 60 of them, you forget them and you can easily cycle through them.

For game 5, as a 900, sometimes you find those kind of players at that ranking and just destroy them

I am 1150 and play exclusively the King’s Indian attack and defense and still sometimes screw up my move order.

Knowing time control from the beginning should help you guess better Levy, think about it
gonna be honest, the accuracy of the guess has very little to do with my enjoyment of this series, except for when the guess is wildly off because of dumb reasons

My biggest issue is 100% not seeing pawn dangers in mid game. I blunder so many pieces not seeing them as a threat
to go from the last episode with all the high rated games into the first one of this episode is a jarring experience

I like the engine moves, not because I actually read them like a nerd but it just fills up the space. Without them it just leaves a lot of empty space it doesn't look as nice.

Can someone explain to me what the criteria is for timeframes in Levy’s guess the Elo series? I’ve watched like half a dozen or more at this point and it seems to me that only sometimes does he mention what the time limit was. Are some of these blitz, bullet, fifteen minute, 30 minute, classical, daily, multiple day? It seems like if he mentions the timeframe sometimes, that we’re dealing with multiple timeframes, and if we’re dealing with multiple timeframes it would be relevant to mention that in every game not just some of them. Sorry if this is stupid and I’m missing something.
