@BRD453 Olivia was completely on board for the production, she attended the premiere and even went on stage and expressed how good it was and how much she loved it.
HEY kerry Butler did the best job out of any one who has ever played Kyra and she aint a kid she is something like 36 or 37 she just looks so pretty for her age!
@Paacreek08 Well, whatever. I haven't even heard the whole story. If you say she was on board, she was on board. Xanadu. Nobody takes that film seriously, but me. I couldn't help it, she was so beautiful and talented. Not just in that film, but far beyond that. And, what a voice!
She actually has a really nice voice... she was exaggerating her voice to make it sound like Olivia Newton-John, because she played the muse in the movie... she's not mocking Olivia as much as she is making fun of the flop movie version...
@perseus1624 I think I agree a little... but I haven't seen anything but the movie. The movie was awesome... but I hear it was horrible according to critics... >.> But as I am 21 and was therefore born AFTER it was made I do not know that for certain. All I know is that ONJ sounded a lot better in that than grease. A nice clear voice and awesome look. Plus it has a Bluth animation in there.
You know when they do that wierd high five thing but don't actually touch and then he sort of bends down well she can't do it i dont think cus shes on skates and will fall on her tummy and probably hurt her nose! :(
That was the point..she was parodying the movie and Olivia Newton John. One of the parts of show was to make fun of how bad the movie was. It is suppossed to be funny.
Most people don't like it because they've seen the musical & haven't seen it on stage. They changed it so its puposely cheesy and the whole show is just a big laugh. nothing serious unlike the movie.
Yeah? I know Grease came first. 1978. So what? Who said anything about Grease? You know? This was so two years ago. There's a newer, younger TV star I've got a crush on. I'm a completely different person. Whole new set of problems. Haven't thought about this in a long time.
These kids are exaggerating too much and they're just ruining the songs. LIVVY sang Xanadu with feeling and uniqueness. I don't understand why people like noisy and messy performances with all the screaming. YUK
Cheyenne's man must be the luckiest guy in the world. Love him. Love his voice. His skills... Just love him. Kerry too!
@BRD453 Olivia was completely on board for the production, she attended the premiere and even went on stage and expressed how good it was and how much she loved it.
Agreed; a BEAUTIFUL specimen of a man with talent to match
Kerry Butler and Cheyenne Jackson are the bomb.
It's such a pity that Xandau closed. They had an amazingly talented cast.
I wish I had gottn to see this show. I love Cheyenne Jackson.
Cheyenne Jackson is so talented and I absolutely love his voice.
I love that Cheyenne says "We heard you were here" to the host of the show...
wow! i love this.
Cheyenne Jackson... so f'n talented... damn...
Oml at the end when they didn't introduce the woman who plays calliope, that was painful to watch
HEY kerry Butler did the best job out of any one who has ever played Kyra and she aint a kid she is something like 36 or 37 she just looks so pretty for her age!
Omg...Can I please have him!?!
this sounds great

THEY MISSED JACKIE!
oooh Jackies gonna bitch slap someone! lol
Cheyenne has an absolutely amazing voice
I met Olivia at the premiere hope to see her soon in Vegas
George Lewycky Lucky u bee
Way too silly, but that is the point.....
Kerry is so damn delicious.
i love Xanadu and kerry butler but i haven't seen the show so can some one tell me why shes on the skates in the first place
Apparently in the 80's it was a really popular thing so she is trying to fit in like an average girl even though she is a demi god.
the sign that says Xanadu me 💀
She actually has a really nice voice... she was exaggerating her voice to make it sound like Olivia Newton-John, because she played the muse in the movie... she's not mocking Olivia as much as she is making fun of the flop movie version...
Yep.
poor Jackie got short changed :-(
I assume you never saw the '72 Broadway or Off-Broadway originals.
ouch. jackie got dissed and dismissed XD

that's broadway. you can't compare a movie soundtrack and music that is meant to be performed on stage

aww jackie didn't introduce herself
and she just walks off..
omg poor jackie! a-holes
ummm grease was a musical first.
@BRD453
they did. They stage version of Grease is a terrible show
I think it's a shame to see Olivia's work ridiculed and mocked on Broadway. Think how it must make her feel. They wouldn't do this with Grease I hope.
That was awkward...
That was painful to watch
These kids are exaggerating too much and they're just ruining the songs. LIVVY sang Xanadu with feeling and uniqueness. I don't understand why people like noisy and messy performances with all the screaming. YUK
This is why the musical comedy genre is forever doomed. It's neither entertaining, beautiful, nor interesting.
riptiki for you... I really like this story
WTF that was AWFUL!!!!!
They destroyed the movie...I prefer watching Olivia a thousand times.. sorry
Kubla Khan it's supposed to be different to the movie
