Is that the lyrics on the screen in front of them? Also interesting to see from the rear perspective how small the studio is. They are practically singing a few feet from a wall. It must be incredibly hard to give an engaging performance (which they definitely do) when your audience a wall a few feet in front of you.
It’s a home studio in my basement. I built it as a critical ‘listening’ and mixing room with a vocal booth at the back (the space behind the drums) but it ended up being a full band ‘all at once’ recording space🤷♂️
Yes we sometimes put up the lyrics because
1: we don’t want to get them wrong
2: gives us all cues on section changes
3: backing vocals need to also be correct
We shoot with an iPhone so not only is there a wall 3-4ft in front of us, you have to L👀k at a tiny camera lens.
It’s not easy BUT we have done it a few times and (hopefully) are getting the hang of it.
We can’t afford a pro space and use this studio cause….its all we have.
Doin the best with what we have 👊🏼
Thanks for the background on your studio and set-up, the sound from your basement is fantastic! From a viewer's perspective it definitely feels like you are on a stage performing for us, so it is amazing that you are able to project that energy while singing to a cellphone on a wall a few feet in front of you. Definitely no need to spend money on studio time, your studio is perfect. @@singitliveworld

OMG. This was BRILLIANT!! Nikki Kosmider Heuskes, your vocals are Superb. Darren Mullan, the sound is incredible. Xanadu is such a complex array of sounds and you guys have smashed it out if the park.
It should be mandatory for Nikki and Chloe to sing in all future ONJ songs. Nobody does it better.

It’s wonderful that Nikki is (finally) getting some recognition she deserves! It’s hard to fathom why she hasn’t been a huge recording star. We are grateful that her talents are now being shared with those of us thousands of miles away from Adelaide. The SingIt Live musicians are top-notch as well.

Absolutely fabulous. I've played in several covers bands for over 40 years and understand what goes into playing something as faithfully as this. Yes, the lead vocal is superb but so too is the whole band in all of their respective parts. Its a big number, one of my favourites. Beautifully done. Bravo.
Oh me oh my. I was listening to this song on Android Auto and I thought "Wow. I don't remember it being this well sung." Only after a couple of repeats did I realise it was the Singit Live version. @NikkiKosmiderHeuskes is so talented!!!
