You can get Celabi legit in Gold, Silver, and Crystal but you need to have all 151 pokemon from Red, Blue, and Yellow and have well at least 6 of the pokemon with the coding that makes them mean they were used in the Elite 4 making them elite 4 winners. You need to have all Pokemon from Gold, Silver, and Crystal. You need to have all ribbons in the game, beat both elite 4, defeated Red, won all challenges in the game including winning the top prize in the radio contest. Gotten all hidden and dropped items in the game, and basically done everything else in either gold silver and crystal including going to the Legend island which is insanely hard to do and well impossible now unless you can go into the coding of the game and reset the game's coding to make it register as if its 1998 again in the game because the game kept an in game time counter and kept running and after 2001 the game blocks you from ever going to that island. So if you did all of that then what you do is take ordinary berries to the bird feeder in the park and poof its Celabi but make sure you have at least 1 fully complete max stack of master balls because the dam thing can break out of them or if you have the GS ball from the kiosk events it automatically captures it and if you got the GS ball with the special letter then Celabi automatically comes ignoring all the other shit and it unlocks the legend island for you. Celabi from that way is level 5 and has 2 moves and never learns another move. Its knows hidden power and secret power which does nothing from him and he is a serious pain in the ass to train because he can not hold items and can't be switched out and well he is just garbage and worse than a Magicarp because at least Magicarp learns tackle and can use struggle when splash and tackle are used up which Celabi never uses up his powers it just states the moves were unable to be used and you can't even end your turn unless you use an item because it blocks you from switching Pokemon and it makes it to where you can't attack or do anything at all. Its a literal garbage Pokemon.
There is an official way to capture Mew in Generation 1 without the 2 different glitches to make him appear but its so much more insane and stupid and harder that its basically never gone. So in generation 1 you can turn your character without walking just turning them and its so fucking hard to do its annoying as hell. Also note doing this requires hooking your game up to a wall charger because it takes a while for it to happen. So when you capture Mewto you then walk up 1 space to where Mewto was standing and you have to not make Mewto turn you face him and when you capture not kill but capture it only works if you capture Mewto with a regular Pokeball then you take 1 step forward and turn to be looking like Mewto and then you wait and wait and wait and always be looking at your game and it can take up to 6 months of waiting then Mew comes to say hello and you have a 10 second timer to say yes I want to battle Mew and when he leaves he is gone and doesn't come back. I saw this on a site that was before UA-cam and I did it once and I missed clicking yes by half a second. I gave up it was not worth the time. Its so rare to know how to do this and so bat shit insane the guy who figured out how to do it was being a bit of a joker with his brothers and sister and cousins who lived together they were playing jokes about how they were going to not make him move from the spot and see what happened and his older brother video taped his brother at first then moved the camera to the game and they caught the screen happening and it was insane especially because mew starts with 1 hp out of 1 hp and master ball has a 1/2176 chance of being captured using a master ball so it can take a quite a few master balls. This was on the original video game archives that are gone now but I remember a Game Freak employee entering the chat and admitting they were going to tell people but they couldn't get the coding to work properly to instantly have Mew talk to people when stepping there so they kind of forgot to take it out and the coding is entirely broken. They were going to make it where you just had to throw a regular pokeball and it would be an instant catch 100% not issues and well that Mew can learn every single. Its in its coding to be able to learn every single move. When you get it the pokemon starts at a negative number set up to when it gets to level 101 or as its coding into that 1 Pokemon as Level GOD. It literally goes from level 100 to level GOD When it gets to LEVEL 100 all of its stats are 999 and you can chose any of its skills to use in which every single one of its moves is 99 uses but when it gets to level 101 aka GOD all its stats state MAX and its health goes to MAX and doesn't change. I did borrow a friends game shark to make the pokemon appear and I captured it and its a broken Pokemon. Its not a rumor but factual.
When I read this I thought it was in reference to dive cats and not eggs so yeah 100% that is a bug because what's the point of "knowing what a pokemon is going to be like before hatching it" bruh you're not hatching for moves that magically appear you're hatching for IVs the moves you know for a fact they're going to get they're not random
I think the reason they removed it was probably related to the fact Assist was severely needed after Gen 5 because of competitive players taking advantage of it by having Liepard effectively become unkillable using it
Well it was "pretty cool" apparently so that means it MUST be a real effect 😂 Took a shot on how many times I heard him say "pretty cool" and I'm wasted now
Oh I know this one!! Body Slam not being able to paralyze normal types in Gen 1 was due to a coding oversight. Electric type moves are coded to not paralyze pokemon of the same type (so electric types couldn't be paralyzed) but the coding was applied to all paralysis moves, making normal types unable to be paralyzed by normal type moves. This also made electric types able to be paralyzed by tri-attack
Tri attack in gen one could burn fire types and freeze ice types gen 1 had a shit ton of coding errors like psychic being immune to ghost instead of weak to it
Gen 3 doesn't tell you that there's a coding error with protect and it wont work if a 2 turn move is used as the move will use both turns at once and hit thru the protect
I think the reason why ability outside of battle thing is removed in scarlet and violet is because these abilities I think works well when there’s not a lot of Pokemon just scattered though-out the overworld. So Arena trap like you said double the encounter rate but there’s no reason to do this when you’re surrounded by Pokémon in the overworld. Same thing with the opposite effect, why have it when Pokémon are everywhere in the over world.
I knew about the Assist thing! It was so much fun- I used to score random Eggs off GTS Negotiations, then have a Purrloin use Assist with just the Eggs on hand, and try to guess what would hatch based on what Purrloin would use.
Fire-Types innately being able to hatch eggs faster would be great. It would be redundant with Flame Body, Magma Armor, and Steam Engine, as the only one that technically isn't exclusive to Fire-Types is Steam Engine with Rolycoly being pure Rock until it evolves into a Fire-Type, but those abilities do have in-battle effects, so I'm sure it wouldn't outright eliminate them.
As I understand it, Normal types not being paralyzed by Body Slam in Gen 1 is basically an oversight in the system that makes Pokémon immune to conditions caused by moves of their own type. It makes sense for Fire, Ice, and Poison of course since they're immune to their respective effects, and I know Twineedle is specifically set up to not poison Poison types.
@@M_Alexander yeah but most people don't chat with NPCs at random or will do so and idly tap their way through without really reading the conversatiom, its a detail thats both easilly missed AND easilly forgotten
'Out of battle abilities got removed from Scarlet and Violet'. That's just flat out wrong. For example Flame Body still helps hatching eggs faster for one.
I find it interesting that I found out by myself without the help of the internet about the Lapras in gen 2 - but I never knew about the Rotom in gen 6, even though the internet would have been available to look stuff up.
I feel like that dream radar thing would be busted if they had any low-level moves I could learn but most legendaries first move is something that can't do damage with and all the other ones are learned like in the 40s and after
The Thunder and Blizzard Protect glitch happens when a move is given perfect accuracy due to an effect. So you can also trigger it Lock-On/Mind Reader and No Guard. The chance to hit through Protect is equal to 100 minus its normal accuracy, so a No Guard Machamp's Dynamic Punch will break through 50% of the time, for example.
In gen 1, status effects can't effect Pokemon of the same type as the moves. This was intended so that Ice types can't be frozen, Fire types can't be burned, Poison types can't be poisoned, and Electric types can't be paralyzed. However, moves like Body Slam, Twineedle, and Tri Attack exist, and can inflict those statuses on the relevant types, as an oversight. But because of the global "shared type status immunity", Normal types are immune to the effects of Tri Attack & Body Slam and Bug types can't be poisoned by Twineedle. They fixed the Normal immunity in Gen II, but didn't implement hardcoded immunities for the intended types until Gen VI.
I feel like HMs/Field Moves would be significantly better in combination with new features the portable PC, being able to forget moves from your menu, and the new Exp. Share basically eliminating the need to grind; and some changes to the system, like depriving Fly of its HM status and replacing it with the Flying Taxi system from the newer games.

I don't think the Assist thing in gen 5 was a secret effect, I think it was a bug, and they didn't remove it in gen 6, they fixed it.

That's a little bit shocking to see, but not much of a shock to see how the oversight came about. Couldn't resist a pun, lol.
Similarly, the only way to poison a poison-type was by using a bug-type move (twineedle, I think?) which, in turn, was unable to poison bug-types.
@@taimunozhan Yep, it was Twineedle. In Gen 2, it was also the only move capable of poisoning Steel-Type Pokemon due to another coding oversight.
Tri attack in gen one could burn fire types and freeze ice types gen 1 had a shit ton of coding errors like psychic being immune to ghost instead of weak to it
06:00 It is indeed a programming error. In Gen one, no move could inflict a status condition to a Pokemon of the same type as the move.
