I cant believe how many weapons found magnet fishing in burnley while out with my friend Alex.
So ive been asked a few time in tmy youtube video comments to go magnet fishing in burnley in the north west of england so while i had a spare few hours me and my friend decided to drive to burnley and magnet fish the canals.
We started magnet fishing in brierfield and then walked down the canal towards burnley town centre, on the way we stopped off at the bridges and it was amazing what we found.
We found everything from bikes, trolleys, tools, knives and even a telescopic cosh which are illegal in the UK.

Hi. The object at 4:34 is an emergency sewing kit known as an ETUI which a lady carried in her handbag. They held cotton and needles and usually a thimble. Cottons were wound around the wooden post. Cases were often of wood or bone or ivory or brass but I expect that there were gold ones and silver ones and Bakelite ones also.

Nice video. Hey I just thought of a cool idea with one of the shopping trolley's you are getting. You can convert them into Go Karts if you have a lawn mower engine or a dirt bike engine. That would be cool if you made a video on doing that and have your kids ride around in it.

Drasticg go magnet fishing in the boating lake in fleetwood, Lancashire bet you will find loads of weird/odd stuff in there also maybe car parts as this year they have been 2 cars in that lake

It had mate most the bridges had bikes and wheel clamps at the bridges where people didnt get it removed

@@drasticg Illegal to buy sell or import. You can have one in your own home until the offensive weapons act takes effect then you won't even be allowed to own one.
God these laws are strict
@@drasticg They are about to make it illegal to own: Zombie knives, knuckle dusters, throwing stars (ninja stars), spring assisted knives, nunchucks, batons and many other things. You should research this because if you pull any of that stuff out the water you'll be breaking the law straightaway.

im not good with guns because im 13 but the mystery item could be a shotgun shell the ones that spray and shoot 10 pellets out idk tbh thats what i think it may be, or just any shell for any gun

If it's spelled "Micronta" it is the brand name for many Radio Shack products of the past. Everything from travel alarms to speakers and you name it. I still use a 30+ year old Micronta digital alarm clock every day. We actually have 2 of them but one has lost it's wires and plug for the battery back up.

I mainly use a 200kg double but i do sometimes yse more powerful ones also, all my kit is in the description if you neex a link to it
Do you contact local scrap men or you in a van and get rid yourself? I haven't been fishing for a while but it's hard to get rid of half a bike in my car. I spoke to my mate at the council who pretends he had an anonymous phone call and clears it for me.

They relate to the Hindu Indian culture where rivers ( Like the Ganges.) are seen to be holy. Our way the grand union canal is treated in the same way. Artifacts found are very often coconuts, which of course float, and I've found an alluminium bowl hidden in the reeds containing flowers. Also artifacts, sometimes depicting a photo of an Indian deity along with writing, are cast to the bottom of rivers and canals. A lot of these are found along the River Thames by the Mud Larkers. They mostly relate to a recent funeral and are gifts to the gods.

Is there a reason people throw so many wheel clamps in canals? If a lost one is discovered can it be traced to the car it was meant to be attached to. Enjoying your videos
Hi daniel the wheel clamps get put on cars that dont pay their road tax so the goverment department comes around and immobilize cars until they pay the road tax and an additional fine but people rebell and cut them off and dump them in the water

The authorities use them to put on the vehicle wheels, they place the triangle against the wheel then wrap the chain around the back and then padlock it.
Then charge you a fortune to remove it

The chain goes behind the wheel, wraps around the suspention and the back through the yellow triangle ⚠️, then the chain has a padlock put on

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE OFFENSIVE WEAPONS ACT AMMENDMENT.
The new added bill of amendment to The Offensive Weapons Act only makes it illegal for persons under 18 to buy or possess items made as offensive weapons whether in public or in a private place such as home. Plus items not made as offensive weapons - but could be used as one such as a knife - will also be included for those under 18. BUT People over the age of 18 such as collectors can possess articles made as offensive weapons as long as they don't carry them in a public place without lawful authority or reasonable excuse. SO DONT WORRY YOU MAGNET FISHING GUYS.

Why don't you save the wheel clamps and make them into your logo sign? I also don't understand why the cities or whomever don't put bins on each arch for the Magnet men. The magnet men are doing a free service for them. Sheese!
if only the authority's cared mate, if you go to nice areas down the south of england there are loads of bins but most places not have even 1 bin. we must be saving the canal and river trust £1000s but yet they want to ban the hobby.
