I honestly love shelves like these because they remind me more of old bookstores, with books just placed wherever there's space. there's such a nice charm to it

Hey buddy! i just want you to know, i'm normally i very cheap guy that doesn't like to buy books on audible with below 15 hours of run time, but i don't think i've ever purchased a audio book as fast as i did for breach of peace, by far one of the best "listens" i've ever experienced!
my shelf logic is place book where space. Don't apologise for not having perfectly logical shelves. Sometimes books just hang out in an empty space 🤷♀️
I know! I want them but have been informed they will come out of my book allowance ( i have to have a set book budget due to an unnamed incident) and i don't want to do that
I now have a love hate relationship with Daniel's bookshelves lol I love the look of them on camera, completely agree with him, but I also want to tear it all down and alphabetize them into genre specific sections Thank you so much OCD tendencies! 😂😂😂
I don't even read physical books (only ebooks) but everytime I see those beautiful hardbacks/special editions/leatherbounds I always get the urge to buy books just to please the eyes. 😂😂😂
Daniel moving his hands over and over Discworld special edition, just to highlight how beautiful the covers are and how good the texture is. And those juniper and special editions just give the perfect effect to the shelf. It’s amazing (but not the chaos😅😅)
threw me for a loop when you rested your hand on The Quest for the Golden Plunger and said "Russian literature" 😂😂😂 quickly realized you meant the other book - Jackson
OMG i have stormlight archive 1,2 and 3in paperback too and then RoW in hardback! I HATE it!!! But i don't have enough money to buy all the hardbacks..
Hey, if you cover the window with a thick curtain it will fix the issue, you’ll still have natural light when needed and sound isolation when recording.
That tour - sir - was one of the most entertaining I've ever seen for just simply showing off a room and some books; you are a master of UA-cam entertainment sir!
I'm moslty overwhelmed by your collection of Grant Edition Dark Tower novels - you've got the ones i'm missing. I've been trying to complete my set for years, and I haven't been able to find as many as you have.
You were giving full Jim Carry vibes at times in the video and I fully enjoyed it! ..also me frantically taking notes on what to read next while watching ✍️
I noticed you have Susanna Clark’s newer book…. I hope you’ll check out her other book Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell It’s one of my all time favorites. Oh! You do have it. Lol yes, you still need to read!!! It’s worth it. 👍🏼
Hey man, just wanted to say that I recently subscribed to your channel because not only do you give me good recommendations on books, but also because you seem like a really awesome and nice person! I've saved a good bit of your recommendations and actually bought one recently (Assassin's Apprentice). After reading a couple thriller books (thriller is in my top 3 genre of books) I've decided to give fantasy a try. So far, I've been reading Tales of a New World by P.C. Cast and highly recommend it! It's definitely worth it to check out imo. But thank you for making such great videos man, please do continue on and never stop!
loved the tour. Yes, it was everything I wanted. I really like the angle you decided to go with into the corner. I agree about the natural light, keep it! I love staring at juniper books website {catalog just came in the mail today, lol}. Yes moving blankets are great, thats what i used in my "reading nook" closet. I covered them with tapestries. You could use tapestries pinned to the moving blankets to create another filming spot. or maybe that's where you'll put the "greene" screen? {pun, lol}
I'm very happy to see someone other than me has read and prominently displays Starsight on their shelves. It's such a good series that I feel like people are missing out on a lot.
i know this video is two years old but your blinds being open like that actually would help your window be less reflective for audio. Sound padding helps because of its soft material, yes, but the shape of them helps greatly too due to it not allowing the waves bounce directly back. I recorded music in a studio with wooden sound stuff and it worked just fine, it was just a more complex shape.
As much as I love the look of your WoT series with the dragon and the flow, I love mine too. Like I appreciate the beauty but I am not jealous. But those pretty leatherbounds...I would die.
Cool, hopefully soon I'll be able to make similar shelves in my room. Would love to see more bookshelf space dedicated to Malazan, though. They have honorable spot in heart, forever.
I like the disorganized organization. We named our new puppy Woola, and you really need to get to Prydain at some point. It's the first fantasy I've read to my son and he loves it
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell is an in-depth stormy English sky cloudy afternoon read you could maybe read a chapter at a time with a cup of tea and a scone. I think that might be a good way to approach it. What graphic novel/trade paperback comic book titles are on your shelf?
You could Stick Insulation/some kind of color tape along the perimeter of the within-universe books columns, making it aesthetically pleasing. Beautiful collection by the way!!
I'm glad to see you already have A Winter's Promise (top left shelf). I hope its close to the top on your tbr. I recently finished the Mirror Visitor Quartet, and quite liked it. I'm looking forward to your review of it. :)
Did…did you, wait, did you just say Master and Margarita? Gah, that book! The devil comes to Russia! That book taught me the word retinue. Such a weird book. I’m new here! Yay! Love your stuff. Also get more NK Jemisin and finish off the City of Brass trilogy, they are beautiful book cover on the hardbacks!
Was glad to see the two Matthew Colville books on your shelf, even though you kinda glossed over that section. Bought them for the same reason Ill buy yours, I like supporting UA-cam authors that I happen to watch, even if the contents of the book isn't exactly my favorite.
i saw the furies of calderon by jim butcher and i'm looking forwards to when youg et around to that and his aeronauts windlass. nice office and bookspace
Never thought I'd see a booktuber with Battle Mage by Peter Flannery. Lost my copy. It was good for a first novel, but was obviously just that. Thanks for the tour!
I love shelves that give off that “the only thing that makes sense is that nothing makes sense” energy
Came here to see the books, but was most excited to learn about the 'Sea Witch.'
If anyone wants to nerd out over old ships, I'm hete for it!
This is the most chaotic bookshelf tour I've ever seen... I LOVE IT.
it hurts my OCD librarian heart. I'm all about the alpha by author then series in order kinda gal. Every time he does the shelves i twitch a little

Shout out to the fan for preventing Daniel from being sweaty while he edits. Truly an unsung hero.
Hands down the best fan Daniel has! 😜
This felt like we were on a facetime call together and I enjoyed it 😂
Wait you're on something rn 😭😂
One day. I will own more books than Daniel. One day.
I have made peace with the fact that this will never happen.
Every single Daniel video with his enormous amount of books behind, I envy. Every time.
Then he will just go get the books out of storage.
good luck. We send him books, he buys books, authors send him books. he is an actual book goblin!
But will you have read more books than @danielgreene
Pips' portrait is honestly so fabulous 🥰
I was going to say the exact same thing! Love IT!!!!
I’m planning a heist to break into Daniel’s house and rearrange his bookshelves. Who’s in?
Yes. It must be sorted into genre and alphabetized!
