i'm guessing a "reading chunky books" video and i'm totally here for it. also mistborn is a great intro to sanderson, elantris is good, but by far not his best book, i feel mistborn is a better intro to his works. you're gonna love it
Elantris was my first Sanderson read and I'm happy that's where I started. Knowing it's considered it's his weakest work makes me more excited to get into more because I really liked it lol
@surpriseitsus9622 where did you stop? It's picks up quite a bit even before the middle. I'm about 75% percent through it, and loving it but I understand it's not for everyone. My friends who have read it, have told me the end is well worth it.

I read Gone with the Wind when I was 13 and I loved it. Funny thing is, I only picked it up because I exhausted all of the fiction reading material in the house 😂😅
Dude, Mistborn is my favorite trilogy of all time and should definitely be your introduction into Brandon S. I’m super pumped about the upcoming video!!!
You should watch the film gone with the wind, then look up Carol Burnetts Gone with the Wind. It's worth it. Side note, the original movie set of Gone with the Wind burned to nothing and killed several people. It was a big deal back in the day, my mom still talks about it.
I'm so excited for these upcoming videos! I loved Gone With the Wind. The movie is one of my all time favorites so I was happy the book was just as good. Hopefully you enjoy it as well!
Haha adore your vids and appreciate you sharing! So curious to hear how twilight series got dropped into your lap and you had to read them haha! Gorgeous book collection

You are my favorite UA-camr, not only booktuber. Your humor is the best and the editing is even better! Keep up the amazing work! Your favorite video in my opinion is the video where you read IT omg
All my life I've been choosing/buying the biggest books. Therefore, I've read Pillars of the Earth (huge Follett fan), the Count of Monte Christo (in French), Gone with the Wind (in English), Shogun (in Dutch - my mother tongue). After I saw your enthousiastic video on Stephen King's 'Under the Dome' I'd really like to read it. Hopefully, it's still available in Belgium! Keep those enjoyable videos coming!
Yay, Twilight series. Makes me want to re-read the series again. I'm reading The Final Empire in April because of your poll thank you for that because I have been a bit intimidated to start that series since a lot of people enjoy it. Love the book nook room and happy reading!
No way!! Glad the poll could help give you some motivation! Between you and me, that’s why I did the poll🙈 I needed motivation to start that trilogy as well!
If you ever do a gaming channel (or even just a video), I humbly recommend Undertale. Go into it blind. It's a great story, and at its core it deals with some pretty deep stuff. I believe even Brandon Sanderson said it was one of his favorites.
I’m currently reading Fairy Tale from Stephen King and almost half way through. Just 60 Pages I want to finish in the next 1-2 Hours. And I really like it so far. ☺️ My first Book of him.
I finished it a few days ago and I really liked it. I don’t know if I loved it, but it was a really good book and a great start for my first King book. The only thing I didn’t like was at the end with one of the female Charakters. I found it unnecessary to be honest also the description of Hana’s boobs 😅 but besides that it was great ☺️ Cool that it gave you great ideas for your rpg game.
Yes I liked you thrown of glass video. I was setting on the fence about reading it or not. And from what you and your wife have said I feel like I should read it.
One of the things that my Dad has always taught me to help with shelf space and overconsumption of books is to only keep books that you will want to read over and over and reference books. I find that if I like it but I won’t read it again, why keep it? Most of the time I like to borrow almost any book that I want to read from the library. This way I also don’t spend money on unnecessary books. I hope this helps someone. You can have a huge library if you have the money and space to maintain it. I would love that! but I personally don’t.
I never had the choice of a library to get books. .... But I get your meaning, I only by books from the categories that I know I will like to read and enjoy.... if I'm going to try something I'm not serten that I will enjoy and want to showcase on my library... I will buy it on kindle (amazon) their a quarter cost of the book or free .... But free books on Amazon are base on your consumption, and mine are big numbers... as I buy only 3-4 times a year, in big chunks at a time.... But yea! Your father logic is very good..... and of course, if you have the choice of a library to get books is much better (cost wise)
It was nice to see your bookshelves! I suck at reading series because I always find it intimidating to start a book series, especially if it's a long fantasy series and the individual books are massive. And I would really like to read more fantasy, I just don't read fantasy that much these days, unfortunately.

Helll yesss FINALLY! Sando time! Mistborn is FANTASTIC, you will LOVE IT! I just bought a Nintendo Switch a couple weeks ago and I’ve been having a blast on it! I’m about to revisit FF7 on it. Are you a gamer gamer or just casual here and there? I also love the reading room, you and Ash did a great job! Glad you guys are getting a ton of books, you two have grown so much in such a short time and you guys deserve all the good stuff in life.
JOAL!! I am a casual gamer! The Switch is what I mainly play on! I love games like The Witcher, Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption! That is so cool to know that you game!!!
The video you're working on must be titled Reading Chonky Bois 😂 The Green Mile is one of my faves. Also I would love to see a Witcher video, I have really enjoyed the books, but like you, haven't finished the series yet 📚
Watching you shamefully holding up Twilight is hilarious. I already saw you read them on Goodreads. I remember reading them in high school and kind of feeling the pressure to like them…but really they are so bad! Good job pushing through lol
Hi, it’s me again with another post. Pillars of the Earth is fantastic. There is a prequel that was released after the original trilogy. I highly recommend you consider reading that. I also just read the fourth book in the series that was published in 2023. Sadly, it was my least favorite Ken Follet book. Perhaps I’ll revisit it again and see if my opinion changes. Finally, his Century trilogy is also good. Another trilogy I read a long time ago and consider rereading
I recently discovered your and Ashlynn's videos and have been binging them nonstop!! I just love you guys - you're both so sweet, energetic, and wholesome! Your book swap videos are some of my favorites and I'm trying to convince my husband to do a similar challenge with me. :) Have you happened to have watched either GoT or The Witcher series? I was never interested in watching either one just due to the amount of graphic scenes I've heard there are, but I'm super interested in the books, especially The Witcher series! Thank you so so much!!! Ashlynn is amazing🙈 I haven’t watched either show. I’m no too interested in them really. The book series, however, are amazing!! They aren’t nearly as graphic as some might think. I think the tv shows for both book series have given given the books a bad stigma for being graphic. They are really tame compared to the shows!
Have you read any of Stephen Lawhead's books? The Bright Empires series, the King Raven trilogy and The Song of Albion trilogy are all so good! His series The Pendragon Cycle is on my TBR for this year too.
Yay Witcher books!! I've read up to The Tower of the Swallow I think, took a break to start a second Witcher 3 playthrough. I started the Dark Tower books this year, currently on The Waste Lands, so good😃
I'd love to live in the rockies but my migraines can't handle the dry climate and altitude. I'm a Houston girl through and through. I was made for it. Haha

I loved seeing your shelf tour also and the little jingles made me laugh each time. I think you should absolutely do some more of these vlog style content in between your bigger videos. I have no idea from the books what videos may be coming. At first I thought with gone with the wind it would be classics or something but then you showed the other books and they are all chunky boys so maybe reading all chunky or big books. I’m so curious as to who you are collabing with to read the Twilight saga. I thought maybe Ashlynn at first but then I got to thinking maybe bookish daddy I seen in his new booktube tag video he said he would like to collab with you sometime. I guess we will just have to wait and see! Also don’t be embarrassed lol both of my brothers read all the twilight books and went to the theaters to see the movies when they came out. Everyone gives the books and movies crap that they are so bad but I liked them all lol! Maybe they are just one of those things that are so bad it’s good if you know what I mean. I’m looking forward to all those videos though! I will be praying for you and Ashlynn that life will give y’all a little break! Great video as always!!❤❤❤❤

Gave me a few more fantasy recommendations. I just thrifted four of the Game of Throne series, and I really want to get into that series. I just haven't read hardly anything this month ... Also, loved the bookshelf update. Gave me a few more fantasy recommendations. I just thrifted four of the Game of Throne series, and I really want to get into that series. I just haven't read hardly anything this month ... I'm ready to move, not read. 😅
I get that!! Excited for you to dip into the GoT books when you have the time after you get settled!!
@@iangubeli Thank you! I just started the first a few days ago, and I wish I had more time because I'm loving it!
lol I will watch it when I’m done reading since it said there’s spoilers! Lol
I just finished pillars of earth it was so good!! I read gone with the wind as well and I hated it lol it was disappointing for how long it was
You should do a callab with mikes book reviews maybe about Steven king or something
I ❤❤❤❤❤ Under the Dome😊
This was so fun! I would watch anything you put out. I can’t wait to see your reactions to the Twilight series. That’s gonna be epic. I also have Fairy Tale by Stephen King to read so if you ever want to Buddy read it I’m down!
Fairy Tale would be fun to buddy read! I honestly have no idea what video I would sneak it into at the moment🙈🙈
@@iangubeli LOL. Let me know when you’re ready!
