First time I'm reviewing a router and a Huawei product, but I feel it's unfortunate that I can't really review this device properly due to software circumstances.

Now i have HUAWEI Ax3 in 2023 and HUAWEI Is always the best , The netgear nighthawk R6700v3 suck and i had it, HUAWEI Always win.
help this router huawei AX3 dualcore support mesh? if i buy 2 unit can still connect wifi 6?
yes. Menu of router is in many languages eng and many many others. I am using 2 pcs of Dual core in hous of my parent-in-law and confirm, that AX3 works very well. Strong signal in house with 50cm walls and long range around house. It works well as repeater with other routers, for examle you have main router n or ac or ax, Huawei takes name of wifi and password and move signal around as AX. 20/40/80/160MHz. I tested in my Mesh system Asus Lyra 3 units, where I 1 unit switch of and replaced as repeater with AX3. It moved signal very well and my phone switch wifi between these units superb. Here are not so sophisticated functions as in Asus routers as VPN server , router restart etc, but for wifi AX3 coverage is perfect. Start from off status 30 second green diode, and on wifi max 43 second and my phone is connected in internet. Power consumption 4 Watts Antennas could be folded, no impact on signal.

very interesting, saw the ax3 pro on shopee and thought it was too cheap to be good but the specs says otherwise
It's actually quite a capable router, great for smaller homes and admins who don't need advanced management consoles!
This and the ax3 pro are fast, but have buggy firmware. On thr ax3 pro, I could not get wifi ap mode to pass the dhcp from my main router. I could access everything, but it gave devices different ip addresses.
It seems to always do that, even for mine, running as a relay, I would preferably like to disable their DHCP and just forward it to the main router, but their firmware is pretty limited in terms of what it can do.
It's probably best only for non-power users who just need a fast router.
@@TechRodent yupp. If they fixed a few minor firmware and hardware issue, would be a killer device
Does ax3 dual core have QoS?
Nice cos most of the China review their home wall material and layout not very comparable to sg and Malaysia.
How about mesh for this set, as well as any possible to do Xiaomi AX3600 global firmware support vlan tagging.
I don't believe that this model has the ability to do any sort of MSH, but I do know that it is possible to do it with the Xiaomi AX3600, although it's in a very hacky sort of way.
@@TechRodent actually now is part of their miwifi app so is 2 clicks away only no need any hacking already but that’s for China firmware
Interesting, their MiWifi App allows for VLAN tagging? That's something I didn't know about.
It seems strange though that such an option is open for the China firmware but not the Global (as I know, china doesn't use VLAN Tagging)
@@TechRodent global firmware is vlan taggable but lesser signal strength, China stronger but no vlan , from what I know both version can mesh
Hi, is this reliable, durable, with great performance and no latency issues? Would it be good to act as a router to replace my Virgin Media Hub 3 which I want to put in modem modem mode? Does the AX3 have better components, range and performance than the Hub 3 or Hub 4? How is the security and privacy of this router? How many devices can the single and dual core hold up to maximum theoretically and does this drop in speed like the Hub 3? I notice there is no USB port on this router, is that a problem? Can we run VPN or OpenWRT on this? Could I theoretically plug this into my ISP Hub 3 in modem mode, use it as my main router and WIFI, then plug additional AX3's into the main AX3 and use it as a wireless access point? Is there a WebApp that i can use to manage the router portal or is it only an app? Would this be better than the budget TP-Link, Netgead, Belkin, Tendas or D-Link routers out there and if so, why?

Mine is in English and I just got this router today. Also, the range is okay. Its not great.
i have a 1000mbit fibernet speed, but this router inly outputs around 40-150mbit and the range is garbage. inly positive thing i can say about is the initial setup is the easiest i have tried.

I have the international model AX3 quad-core. The WiFi range is very poor in both bands. I think the international version has transmission power restrictions to comply with European law, which is more strict in that regard. The Chinese version also seems to have an extra 2.4GHz amplifier. My model is definitely not a wall buster. I rather have the impression that even the molecules in the air act like concrete. You can see the signal degrading considerably with every meter you move away from the device, even with direct line of sight und no objects in between, hence my air = concrete remark.
The Wi-Fi range isn`t great. it's okay. Same as my D-link dir-825. Also mine is enlgish.

@@7he_Ultimate Same. i consider it just okay, but that is because I life in an apartment so it doesn`t have to go far. I have 2nd router in other room that extends way outside my house XD
They sent you a brand new router but when I got a defective laptop from them it took them 2 to 3 months to send me a piece of sh*t SSD for replacement of the defective SSD.🐽
