- We built a custom 8x12 lean-to shed up against a house. This building is very tall, which allows us to install 2- 6' roll up doors for easy access in and out of the building.

why not take the time to match the profile of the siding to that of the house?
Are you referring to the lines not matching up perfectly with the house?
Nice job!!!
Thanks!

Hello from Idaho!
Is the roof sealed against the house so water doesn’t fall behind the shed?
It is not, water can run done between the house and shed.
@@stormorsheds2970 Thank you for getting back to me. Will this cause moisture to get trapped between the house and the shed? I love the look and design but I am nervous about possible moisture/rot issues. I would assume (and can be totally wrong) if you're not sealing the shed to the house that it should be a little further away for extra breathing/ventilation? Is there any standard for the spacing if you're not attaching it to the house? Thanks!
We’ve been building this design for years and haven’t had issues. The water won’t get trapped between the two but just run down the siding and on to the concrete slab. If you’re concerned about ventilation you could hold it off the house a few inches.
Untreated framing lumber sitting directly on the concrete slab is a big no no. It will rot out quickly.
There are pressure treated plates/skids under the floor framing. Rot won’t be an issue. The trim above the window gets sealed, so it won’t leak.
Look at how they install the shed window, gonna have water damage soon
The window will not leak. For it being a shed, it is installed just fine, it won’t have issues.
I don't know why they put a wood floor over the concrete pad. Why put siding on the outside of the frame that goes up against the house? Should have matched the grooves of the existing siding. No flashing where it meets the house? No sealing around the window? No caulking at the corner joints. No drip edge at the horizontal siding seams. Why 2 doors....just eliminated an entire wall for storage shelfs. Pretty crappy shed, IMO.
And I'll add that the window installed will leak straight away.
