That's pretty good ! One thing to be careful of though. Some watches have extremely small date windows and when you remove it, the watch can look ridiculous. This Squale has a very nice big date window so it's looking even better, though I wonder why they bothered putting one on. Thanks for the tutorial !
Great tutorial John! Question, how do you know for sure if ar coating is on the outer part of crystal? Other than trusting specs listed on manufacture website is there another way to tell?
Wonder if I can do this on an invicta classic Swiss made pro diver, the flame fusion crystal might have a different reaction but might try it out anyway
I have the Carrera 66491 automatic the original one, but the cyclops is removed. I want to ask for professionals, why would the cyclop be removed for? What is the reason?
😂 I’ve done 100’s of Seiko the exact same way. Not only have I done it many many times but there is literally a lot of videos here on UA-cam of other people doing it this same way. Try researching before posting ignorant comments.
I toy with the idea of removing the cyclops from my watch .... But that would mean i would coun a new name for this model.... The Seiko black dial ,Titanium Shogun would become the "Graboid"... If you can see what i mean
Boy you made it look easy compared to some other videos. Good work.

Worked like a charm after trying a lighter 4 or 5 times which didn’t work, thanks for the video
Best video for this technique I've ever seen. Thanks.
Appreciate that

No way! I’ve done a few but instead I heat up the blade and just slowly work it under the cyclops. Takes a little longer but safer.
I’ll give that a try for sure but so far no issues with the way I do it. 😊
best method, easy, and viewing without ads 😀👍😀
Works with a chisel and a 1kg lump hammer also !! 👌😂😂😂
Have you ever reused a cyclops before? and if so, how hard is it to clean the cyclops after it's been used?

Where can you get a magnifier for a watch and install one ? what kind of adhesive ?
Can you do this on a mineral crystal?
That's a VERY NICE Divers Watch BTW !!! ❤❤❤
Wouldn't an electronic soldering iron be less risky, if all your doing is heating up the adhesive?
could i use a lighter
What’s the strap?
Very much appreciate your experience 👌🏻

Some people don’t like the look of a cyclops, personally I prefer it as it ads visual interest plus my eyes are not as good as they were
It's a visual aid for those with eye defects. If you're a 20/20 you would want it off
@@kampalamails6354 yes it's better without it for me
looks way better
Thanks I think so too
the lubrication inside the movement dried due to heat
Cyclops? That’s the “one eyed get”! 😉
omg, i dont even know we can do that😂
You must have put it on because seikos and Rolex will not come off like that. The glue looked like Bostic of something weak

I love taking those things off my watches. Careful though. I’ve burned myself a time or two.
If IPA will soften the glue, you don't need the heat !

you can try but wont work.
👍
that has melted the O ring.
No it hasn't
