I have ridden ATV's in the dunes now for over 30 years... Just started Sleds this year for the first time ever.. I am a decent mechanic and do all my own work.. You are a great kid with excellent instruction videos and a good sense of humor.. Thanks
My dad has had bogging/hesitation problems all last year with his 16 he just bought and the dealer had no answers definitely will show him this! Thanks!
It's worth a shot, it cleans up that low end. If it's realllly bad bog and hesitation, I wouldn't expect this to be a full fix though! Something else might be up.
Matt, your awesome. You do such a good job of explaining installs, issues, easier way to do things too. You need to put the white seat back on your 2014. Cheers and Snow.
Thanks for this video... My ‘14 M8000 .. After riding I went to start it and it was hard to start. Had to hold some throttle in to get it to fire up. Do you think this would help? How do you like the kit after a year? Thanks again
Does it do this on all of them or is it just for if it just starts doing it because I'm looking into geting one but I dont want to spend money and need to be putting parts on it right away
Nice video. Did this fix last year myself m800-12. Unfortunately it's not the real fix (at lest for me). Works fine most time, when it's cold outside. But spring days, after longer stop. It gives almost worse bog than before.
This helps, but being on top of your clutching, keeping them clean and moving free, replace bushings and rollers immediately once wear starts. will do more for performance than anything. I have 3 of these sleds and never experience hesitation. I run good fuel and keep them clutched properly and they rip.
@@JAngentofDeath me. I'm a cat master mechanic. The best thing you can do for those clutches is keep them clean. When I service clutches, they come out looking like you just took them out of a box new. Clutches being dirty is the number one killer of them, either between rollers binding up or getting hot. Keep em clean and they'll last.
hi matt, i have an 2013 m8000 and recently when i went out to ride i was just about to ride and bam, my display died completely on me and my engine started bogging at half and full gas, and i dont know what to do to fix it..
Howdy...any issues with 2012 m800 going into reverse randomly...checked all connections...still does...probly rubbed wire...more investigation tmmrw...any help thx
My 2016 m8000 ran good until i hit powder it started bogging out on me, had it idling for a few minutes then it did the same, kept getting worse and now I have a code that say ECU 12, and occasionally ECU 17. I put a heater under it and now it starts good and runs good for about 5-15 seconds then shuts off cold.
Great Video! Which headlight delete will you be doing? I'm installing the BDX on mine, on the fence about getting the relocation kit or just splicing from the harness.
Hey just started watching your vids, awesome info, got a question for ya, I have a 2016 m8 with a tss turbo installed on it, they ran the intake for the turbo straight up into the hood then stock from there on up , thinking about just running the pipe straight out of hood with filter etc, guessing I’m going to have to move that air flow sensor on to that intake tube right?
I wouldn't do it , I've seen a lot of turbos like that and I don't see the advantage. I have a large boondocker on my 2012 running 12lbs boost at 10,000 ft Here in Colorado and it runs great with stock air intake, just make sure everything is sealed up good.
Mat I have the same exact m8000 as you. When I hammer the throttle I’m getting a bog were it wouldn’t even come out of the bog unless i let off throttle. I changed my plugs and that helped it a lot but i still get it every 5-10mins when I’m riding hard. Do you think this would be my fix? Bad reeds?
@@calebd4317 did the reeds fix the issue? I'm still having the issue and don't know what to do, I've put like 7hrs research so far just trying to find out

Check reeds

Yeah man! I almost never uploaded this one, cause I was not happy with it from shooting to editing.
The hesitation problem on my M8 is the rider. Does SLP have a replacement kit for that?
That's the best comment I've read in a while xD
It’s pretty cool that the exhaust sensor is compatible with a duramax exhaust sensor
Is the harness ran in between the bulkhead And the apv servo?

Have you ran into Throttle safety switch issues?

that's right. Be good to your machine and it will be good to you.
I would love to see more information on how to maintain the clutches better, do you know any good resources?

How do you know if the bogging is caused by air temp sensor or bad reeds?
Would this work with a 2019? If not do they make one for one
I always assumed it was due to a super heavy fuel/ oil rich mass of air off idle/ after idle
Does the effect starting. My 2012 starts fine when cold but then I have to pull 3-5 times once warm
Try just givin a little throttle when it's warm.

I'm going to be putting in my own kit. I don't care for any on the market. I have had no time to do it yet though.
I rode my ‘16 m8000 for the first time and it bogged or hesitated a couple times a day. But only off a dead idle. This must be the problem.
Do you have a part number so I can get one for mine?
Do you have a link for this?
is it possible to just splice a longer length of wire with heat shrink and butt connectors?
It will work yes. It's only two wires.
Is 38mm lugs too small for a crossover? Its a 141.
There is nothing to say it's "too small" it really depends on what you are doing, where you are riding and what you're after.

Can't tell ya. I'm not familiar enough with that turbo. I'd have to be there looking at it to see how everything is piped

You should do a tether instalation vid.
I should, but It's soooo easy to screw up your harness if you don't know exactly what you're doing. I'll check for something aftermarket

Couple of things you can check: reeds are definitely something to check. Would also make sure your primary clutch spring isn't broken
I got that hesitation too but I’m thinking this bog problem may be something different.
Syxxes Performance I got a new team primary clutch the spring is good. So reeds would probably be my next check? thanks for the help

Mine had this kit done to it and I think it’s killing my ecu because a constant bog keeps coming back and I never reach temp at all

Just got the stock ltd one
Where did you get that kit brotha
That's from SLP!
What’s the point of delete the headlights
Where do you get that heat tape??
Trev1141 I’m sure most headwear stores have them or might order it online
You bet. Any hardware stores should have. Probably in the Ducting area.
I got 2015 and still experiencing engine bog...

Ukrainian socket set 😂😂
1 tool for every job!

I put this kit on my 16 m8000 there was no difference for me. Warm or cold days no difference it was a waste of money and time.
its bogging because its a articcat
If you hate cat so much, why sit and watch a 10 minute video?
