Definitely run rope in front of crossmember. Those coil wires are in the back just waiting to get damaged. I use to do this job all the time cause I always broke the rope on my Proclimb from first starts of the day! Then I read online to slowly pull on it a few times, cycle it first, THEN turn on key, set kill switch...THEN PULL HARD! Haven't broke a rope since!!
Greetings from Russia I just got back from the garage minutes ago where I was fixing my pull starter. (I have unscrewed the central screw and the rotation of the engine broke the cover)
I saw that you also having ha crack in the steeringpost assembly... Typical cat issue. Had the same on mine :D. Anyway, great video all the way from sweden.
How convenient, I blew my pull chord apart today! Liked and subscribed, lots of your videos have been helpful for me.
Great video as always. Nice to see you back. Doing the simpler stuff but fixing stuff. This is what I signed up for lol.
Had to do this a few times on my 1970’s skidoos. Much easier to access the engine on those old sleds.
Always appreciate some wrenching tips, keep up the good work bud!

Thank you for the install video, a informative one.
I had to replace the recoil on my 2019 skidoo backcountry. It actually got stuck out and the lug got sheered off. Not a bad job.
Any issues with the cord in the front next to the exhaust yet? I ran mine the same way.
Love you dad!

That’s hilarious I’m about to go do my pull rope 😂 it’s already taken apart.
Great video, although some 2010 cats shared the 800h.o motor you’d find in the 2012 cats, better wording would be 2010 800h.o motors and up
I like to use cobra rope or parachute rope never have to change it. Try it out buddy

Any types of rope good? Or are there no gos? Also, 7ft good?
Mine broke again time for a cobra cord?
Don't pull out so far
Mine actually got ripped off right on that bracket in the video half way up, switched to a cobra cord, pricey but hopefully never breaks!
My cobra cord is already wearing out, had it at the front of that steering bracket... switching to the back of it now...
How did you get the old rope out with it clamped down?
Ate you using cobra cord in this video?
Was a cobra cord on there or cat one. And are cobra cords as good as they say they are?
Where are you buying your parts from for your old Artic 🐈.
How long should the rope be?
I need aswer too
@@juuzomo6.5 -7 feet
Cobra cord 👍
Also. I just put a screw driver through one of the holes instead of the clamp
There's an easier way to wind it.
