Jonathan Cain from Journey and Brian Welch from Korn Performing “Don’t Stop Believing”

- Both of these men gave their Christian testimonies at the 2019 Better Man Event along with Evander Holyfield, the CEO of Hobby Lobby, and McKenzie Milton the former quarterback of the UCF knights. They ended the event by performing this song. I know the song isn’t Christian, but it was still cool to hear their testimonies.
Disclaimer: I don't know the hearts of these men and whether or not they are true converts to Christianity. I heard their testimonies and nothing else. I am aware that there are false converts and wolves in sheep's clothing amidst the church. If you would like to do your own research as to the sincerity of their Christian profession, by all means do so. I attended this event, heard their testimonies, and they finished out with this song. In my opinion, I wish they had performed a real Christian song and not something secular like this, but nonetheless, it was a cool performance. I'm not trying to say the song itself was a worship song by any means. It was definitely just for the entertainment value.

Yeah, I read his book Save Me From Myself, it had a great message of finding Jesus, I gave it to my son to read when I finished it. I have struggled with addiction for over 2 decades, but have always been a believer. I hope it helps my son find Christ. 🙏

Amazing! As a Christian musician myself that loves the music from the 80s, as well as the music by Brian's band as well as his solo album, it's SO cool to hear this collaboration! May God continue to get all the glory!

Brian was one of my biggest childhood hero’s back in my high school days. Inspired me to pick up a guitar and get into music.
When I saw he left Korn I was devastated. Once I learned he did it to better himself and get off drugs I was so happy. Not many people have the willpower to give up addition. I can relate as an ex heroin user.
No, he left because he found God! And he got better in the process and came back to Korn as a man of God and helped Fieldy fond God as well!
It's good to see musicians jamming, the fact that they are Christians is definitely great. Some might get upset that they performed a secular song but I bet most of the men there grew up hearing that song and it's a chance to reflect on where you were and what God has brought you through. I know in my youth my heart was far from Jesus but the beautiful part is that Jesus Christ was never far away from me and by His Grace and love, I am here today! God bless these men and may their relationship with Christ grow ever stronger. Maranatha

I remember the insert to the very first Korn album. I specifically remember seeing Brian in one of the pictures placed in there and thought to myself "that dude looks scary. Intimidating. He looks stoned and mean." Boy am I sticking my foot in my mouth. What a fantastic dude. Love him.

I was a Junior in High School when Korn became well known. Their music was dark and honest. Jonathan's vocals were angry and full of pain. I didn't face adversities growing up like he did. I was in Christian home with parents that loved me. I was a Christian but still had pain and disappointment in my life. The guitars were amazing to me. I was a Stryper fan along with secular metal bands. But Korn had a punch that even bands like Metallica didn't have. When Brian announced he got saved then Fieldy, I was very thankful. I pray that Munky and Jonathan give their life to the Lord. If Alice Cooper and Dave Mustaine can change their lives and keep rockn then why can't Korn?
Should they still be playing the same kind of music if they're really saved,?
To each their own, nobody should have to do anything they're not obligated to do and just because someone else did doesn't mean anyone else has to, it's a personal "Journey." I'm deeply spiritual and have a wonderful life and listen to Korn, Slayer, Testament etc...does that make me any less than anyone else? I appreciate everyone's path in life, lead by example, treat people right, don't commit crimes or hurt people and so on, it's just what you do! 🤙🏾The new Korn Album Requiem is amazing 🙌🏾

Praise God it warms my heart to see famous musicians that are not afraid to proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord.
I can only speak about Brian Welch as I've met Brian numerous times over the last 10 years. He is genuine. The real deal. If not, then he's crazy and a great actor because becoming a Christian has given him no advantage in "the world." Just the opposite, as he is constantly picked at from all kinds of people for simply professing Christ.
But he counts it all as joy to be persecuted for the name of Christ. He has peace that passes all understanding and it's clear that his faith in Christ is real and it's what he lives for no matter what happens to him or what humans say about him.
Regarding the song - as they sang the chorus thoughts of don't stop believing that Christ will finish the work He's begun in you. Don't stop believing Christ has sealed your salvation with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. Don't stop believing..."I AM."
You can give glory and honor to Christ in many ways...

Thanks for posting ! While living in Orlando, I visited Jonathan's wife's church, and attended Discovery Church for years, the founding church of Better Man. Great events. Lots of Great Churches. FAITH Assembly, St Lukes, Northland Church, 1st Baptist. Surprisingly a lot of very strong churches near the house of the Mouse.
