Power amps can be very different and that's great. Speakers are different and that's also great. Guitars are different and of course the guitar players are different and that's great. Everything is a part of the puzzle and I love to create my own sounds that I like. I like the Archon 50 and the Orange 50w mk3 because of their full midrange that gives these amps a special character. My Amp1 Mercury is a very good and versatile amp but it wouldn't be my first choice to play metal... I just would say use your ears to find the tones you like, no matter what some people say because it's your taste what matters. I this video you can hear the difference between these two amps. Nothing wrong or right, just two good amps that have their own character.
