they played this as the encore at the Houston show! The show itself was mindblowing and definitely confirm them as one of the greatest bands on the planet!!

God damnit, this song is so fucking amazing. There's no other band that achieves such a perfect balance between beauty and brutality.

Long you both laid the sun's yellow stare.
On the edge, with eyes rolled back, the waves were calling him.

No problem. In posting it I like to think I'm furthering humanity, because the more people that hear this, the more peace there will be in the world. Honestly - if a better piece of music has ever been written, it's never reached my ears. Enjoy!

Yeah, if you check Wikipedia's page on "Oceanic", the album this is from, there are brief explanations, as well as a link to a video interview in which Turner explains them slightly more.

Which is my point, that we have gone to war and aided many countries over the years.Helped to keep governments from collapsing, mostly with methods you & I will never hear about. Some will argue that we shouldnt have stuck our nose into others business, but I contest that were we to do this, the economic and political ramifications would be horrific. We need the rest of the world,& as much as so many would hate to admit, the rest of the world needs us just as badly.Look at what our depression has done.

Man they need to stop with these short East/West coast tours and do an entire US tour.

You're definitely in the wrong thread. In Zombie Movies the Zombies try to "share" what they are. Now I see it's the same in real life.

    marcandrethe-
The US pumps BILLIONS of dollars every year into aid for other countries such as Africa and Iraq amongst others; how can you say we give nothing? My point is that we are in the midst of a severe economic crisis, and now is not the time for the US to be as charitable with our spending as we have been in years past.

It's cool man, it's cool. I'm just not a big fan of judging someone you've never even spoken to or met, irks me in a way. I have no problem discussing politics, despite the fact that I despise them greatly. But when it turns into personal attacks, I think that's taking it too far. I agree with your views, to an extent. The US has seen a lot of war throughout our history, and most of it fought on the behalf of other countries. We haven't had a war in the States here for almost 150 years!

What, no solos? Oh my god, it can't be real music! Someone get this guy a link to some Dragonforce wankery, stat! Up yours, this music is perfection.

  • @seegoon
    @seegoon  17 років тому

Talent isn't about virtuosity. Good music isn't about shredding. I defy you to find a reputed music critic who'd agree with your point of view.

  • @Slipknotfanatic89

No, people who want to change the world are ONE of the reasons this country is going broke. I like helping people, and yes its the right thing to do. But think of what else our government could be spending the billions and billions of dollars on that we GIVE other countries each year. Its gone past the point of being nice.

When "real music" is where YOU are able to realize structure, perhaps you allow us only to listen to folk music, master?

its just a different style dude; these guys arent power metal or thrash like the bands you mentioned (which I enjoy also). if you compare music to the art world, this music is like abstract art; few people understand its subtleties, and many think it is so simple a child could do it...when in fact, both these musicians and abstract artists have a great hold on technicality, but instead play with composition and form rather than immediate detail.

You are what, 19? First start by reading the paper. You'll avoid making a fool out of yourself in front of everybody.

Guns are awesome, yeah. You wrote this AFTER a madman shot 32 people in one go, and you're defending your "rights" with such vigour? And do you honestly believe that I don't have private property and am a "subject"? You really need to read up on your politics.

  • @seegoon

I'm English. You know nothing about me. And everything you say is embarrassing you more and more.

  • @seegoon

Yeah, this is pretty cookie-cutter emo. I hear they're touring with Taking Back Sunday and wearing make-up this summer. So - any music without a solo isn't real music, it's just noise? Clarify this for me.
