@@polynarcs music makes entertainers much less money since streaming, and it’s not nearly as lucrative as selling a product. You have to tour to make money off of your music. Rihanna is clearly done with that labor lol.
Agreed. I think celebs are scrambling to launch as many profitable products as they can while they still have peak popularity and relevance as they see the decreased interest in culture.
I think athletes do campaigns for cereals and soups in order to get their name out nationwide. Not everybody watches sports, so this can be a way to make them household names.
Beyonce actually had a very good perfume called "Heat" back in the day. I got so many compliments wearing it. I don't know why she discontinued it. Her new hair care brand makes no sense.
I honestly think the hair care line is her mom’s passion project and she just funded it. Ms. Tina is a licensed hairstylist and a former salon owner, so i think that’s why. Plus the way Blue Ivy was ridiculed as a child because of her hair and we now see how glorious her hair is, it kind of makes sense.
I will say that the only celeb brand I’ve bought and replenished is Fenty Beauty. Thats not because of Rihanna herself but because the shade range has been so good to me. I also have supported Rare Beauty b/c of her intent for helping those who suffer from a disability in her packaging and her message of being comfortable in your own skin. One has catered and continues to cater towards skin inclusivity and one has pure intentions. No other celeb brand has made me feel authenticity.
I use Britney's perfumes. Legit great, my everyday perfume is Island Fantasy. My opinion is that the market is oversaturated in every way: too many brands, too many celebrities, now there are even influencers or social media famous personas competing with the likeness of celebrities, etc. I feel overwhelmed by the quantity of skincare and beauty brands there are out there. At least perfumes have unique smells that feel very personal and subjective to each person's taste. But like a lipstick or something like that...there are so many brands and so many products with the same shade... Also, i dont think people are so celebrity crazy fan as they used to be. I only see Taylor Swift moving that kind of fandom nowadays.
One youtuber, B'CentricTV, commented that the oversaturation of celebrity beauty and skin care brands tends to suffocate and choke small business owners who lack the attention capital and access to resources that celebs have. The downfall of celeb owned brands could be a good thing for small business owners who are actually trying to fill a gap in the market. They too can have a chance to succeed in an already heavily competitive marekt.
The only celebrity brand that i actively purchase is Good Dye Young by Hayley Williams, lead singer of Paramore. I constantly dye my hair bright and unnatural colors, and it's not easy finding something that's cruelty free and vegan at an affordable price (i don't buy Arctic Fox anymore because of certain scandals they've had and Manic Panic only goes so far, but it's okay in a pinch). It works so well with my hair, it's gentle, affordable, vibrant, and it helps that Paramore is my favorite band. Even then, when I can't buy it and I have to go for a cheaper alternative, or because they don't have my color, or some other reason, I don't get butthurt about it, but I do love the brand, and she actively uses it herself, so I trust her on that front with her product. Besides, she's been dying her hair since she was a teen, so knowing that her and her team spent all that time curating and creating a brand that promotes what i'm looking for in hair dye and promotes diversity in hair textures, well i have nothing negative to say about GDY!
The only negative I ever found about GDY is that it will. not. fade. I constantly change my mind when coloring my hair tho, so what was a negative for me is a positive for everyone else! It’s a great dye and you can tell she was involved in the process. For those of us who don’t wanna buy AF anymore it’s SUCH a good alternative
@@manic_girl lol that's a good point 😅 I dye the bottom layer of my hair usually and I've had it green for almost 2 years now but recently changed it to orange... That was a pain to remove but hey, it was worth the hassle!
@@itsbuttonyall absolutely! It’s my fav semi permanent dye I’ve tried. Imagine my surprise tho when I tried to remove it with a bleach bath and it didn’t budge 😭
This week Sephora announced that they will no longer be sticking Jennifer Lopez’s products. No one bought her products and she herself didn’t seem interested in her own brand either. Just a cash grab.
The only celebrity brands I consistently buy are Rare Beauty and Pattern because their products are actually good. I’m not really interested in a lot of celebrity brands. Especially celebrity clothing lines because they are never up to par with what I’d expect for the prices.
I think Fenty came around at a time when people wanted something other than MAC. People forget about MAC but they always had shades and undertones for women of color. Ri’s packaging was cuter and she had highlighters plus the name. MAC was the OG though hands down.
The only celebrity brand I constantly repurchase from is Hayley Williams hair dye brand Good Dye Young. They take constructive criticism very well and the brand is very community driven as well as nice ingredients lists that work pretty well for my hair. I 100% agree with your point on it being weird when celebs make a brand with things that don’t seem to correlate with them in any way. I was confused when I stumbled into Target and saw Dwayne Johnson’s haircare line like huh?? 😭 anywho I really enjoy the way you articulate yourself and loved this video essay! 💌
I didn’t know Dwayne Johnson had a hair care line. That’s so ridiculous 😂🧑🦲 It’s like Jlo selling alcohol. Even when she says she doesn’t drink. A mess! 🙄
Please stop spreading misinformation. He has a skincare line, not a haircare line. I really hope people realize that all statements made online need to be fact checked.
@@LG-wv7xb I am not spreading misinformation. I simply stated what I saw when I entered a Target and for my Target specifically they were displaying the hair care part of his brand. Regardless it’s a multi line. His site has different tabs ( face, body + HAIR and tattoo) I like Dwayne Johnson but him having any hair care product doesn’t make any sense for me personally sorry 🤷🏻♀️
I love Rihanna, but I hate how everyone acts like Rihanna created the 40 shades of foundation like I’ve been using Maybelline’s fitme foundation since like 2014 and even back then they had 40 shades and it wasn’t shades of beige. They had a pretty big medium shade, and a decent deep in, darker shades
Yea I still have my Fenty Beauty and it works wonders for me, I have honestly loved all the products I’ve bought from her. When I used Fitme it was oily!
I buy Fenty beauty makeup regularly cause the products are good. And if I’m gonna give $$ to a huge brand, I want it to go to a black owned brand. (I buy makeup from smaller black owned brands too).
Fenty is majority owned by LVMH. The same company that owns Louis Vuitton, givenchy, bvlgari, dior, Hennessy, fendi, mark jacobs, sephora, Hennessy etc. So your money for " black owned brands" is actually going to THE RICHEST MAN IN THE WORLD 😂😂😂😂😂. So not only is your money going to a white person, but its not even going to an ordinary white person, its going to the richest white person. In reality, people think Rihanna is just some ultra smart business woman but she really just is partnered with the biggest fashion and cosmetics company. Of course her brand was never going to flop with lmvh.
@@howsie123 yes, I’m aware. I hope you didn’t think I literally thought all my money goes to one person. Like….you know there’s hundreds of employees that also get a cut I’d hope… I support black women and Rihanna set the vision for this business. She has business partners and many people with her to help build that. Including LVMH. I also noticed you skipped the part where I said I also give money to smaller black owned brands too. Chances are they have white employees/people in leadership roles too - should we not count that? Honestly, I don’t know if you’re purposely being dense because you don’t want to give her her flowers because she built that brand including making the connections to be able to partner with LVMH. I don’t care if she doesn’t own 100% of it - she had a vision and enacted it. Or maybe I guess a black woman has to do something all on her own to for it to count? Do we not support Mielle once a big stake gets bought by a big corps - does the work suddenly evaporate that the black female owner put in? Anyway, you sound like a salty person. Imagine reading someone saying they like to support black owned brands and finding a way to make it a negative by being purposely obtuse as if that person said the black owned brands need to not have any partnerships at all involving other big businesses. Exhausting.
@@shaneking5246 I understand how shares work. Rihanna owned 49.99% of the stakes. LVMH owned 50.01. Does her partial ownership not count because of the that 0.02% difference? Let alone the fact she set the vision for it - LVMH invested in her vision and brand - Fenty is her last name. It would not exist without her. Imagine being the type of person whose first impulse hearing “I like to give money to black business” is to find a way to go “ACKSUALLY” and discredit the work a black woman put into building said business because she did it with investors. Annoying.
I kinda disagree with the Kylie decline theory-- in her high days we already figures out her lips were fake but the products were genuinely good quality and her collections were original and fun. The quality has decreased, she started launching way too many new products where we couldn't keep up, and it hasn't evolved since. Like you look at her makeup and it screams 2017!
there's a lot of videos that show that those lip kits under stocked hence why they were always selling out. they were providing a limited supply to begin with. but very true about the marketing lol
The lip kits sucked and were very drying. She just practiced fomo marketing and would only stock very little so it always sold out and appeared more popular than it actually was because people wanted to have it for fear of missing out
At that time there were many videos calling out the quality of, her celebrity was just soo strong that most didn’t care. Your free to have liked her brands but the mediocrity was transparent form the start.
the only celebrity products i consistently buy are Ariana's and Billie's perfumes. the scents are so good and i get so many compliments because of them, so whenever i run out, i replenish them lmfao
I think modern celebrities and influencers are aware that their fame is actually limited. Most of them will get a few years, a decade at the absolute outside and they need to get as much money as they can in that time. There's become this path to diversify their income and they're all repeating it. It's always simple easily marketable things like beauty, perfume, clothing, coffee and other food. They can get in and out quickly and don't actually have to invent anything complex to sell.
You said “full a hole in the market” quiet a few times. As a person who lived and had purchasing means both before during and after celebrity brands I will say that there was no hole. Shape ware existed before skims. Matching Lip liners and lipsticks existed before the Kylie lip kits. The celebrity of it all just made it much bigger than what was already on the market
I have that Brittney Spears perfume and will continue buying it. I also use Fenty beauty and will continue buying it. These are the only celebrity brands I’ll spend money on. I found the perfect products for me! 😊
Kylie’s 3-5 brands away from solidifying her name w/ bad products, I’m surprised she hasn’t ever tried putting out a product that’s actually good. I’ve never bought a single kardashian product, but based on opinions I’ve heard over the years, Good American and Skims have garnered customers who don’t gaf who’s behind it bc the product is quality enough to be bought w/ or w/out the name. If Kylie maybe put more passion and made quality pieces into brands like Kylie Baby, or Ky, I don’t think we’d be seeing her out here struggling to open new brands and promoting mobile game apps
And I feel like she missed her mark, it’s now joked abt online how her brands continuously flopped. Imagine the success if she put out a brand that was actually good. To me, It’s very clear that her goal was to spend as little money as possible on production to have a higher profit for herself, at least it feels that way.
Completely agree! Been using her products for 4 years now, always do a big order for Black Friday and replenish through the year. She feels very involved and authentic tho, it doesn’t feel like a cash grab for her
Also with the recession, we can't afford to buy colour makeup so we switch to cheaper things like lip balms, hence why brands like Rhode and Rare are thriving!
I routinely restock my FENTY skincare products because the quality is good and consistent. Are there comparable products that could be cheaper? I’m sure, but I like the products because they’re effective and when you find something that works with skincare- you’re hesitant to change even if it’s cheaper because you know how rare it is to find something that doesn’t break you out etc.
Haus labs (Lady Gaga’s makeup brand) has the best foundation and concealer I’ve ever tried and I’ve used things that cost 3 times their price. I’ve repurchased those products and will continue to. Not because I’m obsessed with Lady Gaga but because they’re excellent products
I refuse to buy from celebrity brands, they don’t need my working class money. I’ve been trying to make the switch to more small/locally owned businesses. I want my hard earned money to go back into my community and into the hands of regular folk.
I also do not trust influencers, especially the ones who get stuff for free or paid to say nice things about the products. Just ones who bought it themselves can give an honest review
I wonder if people forgot we didn’t buy all this stuff all the time until we sat home for a year or two with nothing to do or spend money on but lip kits and leggings? It amazes me when Gen Z-Alpha complain about how expensive things are while ordering take away from Door Dash. I’m Gen X and lived through a few recessions. The lesson is don’t buy or spend on dumb shit. IE; makeup, nails, lashes, eating out, vacations, subscription media until you have saved enough or are employed at a level where you can afford your lifestyle. It’s boring and NO fun but “if you live like no one else does now, you’ll live like no one else can later”. PS I’ve been underwater 2x from credit card debt and had to sit home while my girlfriends went to islands, dinners, concerts and shopping trips. After the second time it happened I learned to save for what I want and live below my means. I’m not rich but I’m not broke. And NO Gen X did not have lots of great paying jobs right out of school. My first job post college in 1990 paid $13,000 before taxes came out.
I'm so sick of celebrities (many of them) and I'm happy their era is coming to an end. The only makeup brands I buy are Catrice Cosmetics, Essence Cosmetics and Wet n Wild. When it comes to clothes, I don't see the need to buy anything designer. I buy non designer clothes, non designer shoes etc. As long as it fits the streetwear look (the type of clothing I'm into) and it's affordable, I'm buying it.
I’m def regularly buying Haus Labs foundation & concealer bc it’s incredible quality. I have such a difficult skin tone to find foundation for and hers is perfect
You are correct about the future of celebrity brands. Like Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry buying Bragg’s. I trusted that brand out of hand and the changes being made are even more concerning considering the market’s trust.
I use small brand makeups like Milani Jordana ( was bought out by the above) Nyx Wet n wild Colour pop Italia For foundation and primers, its more higher end.
The target audience of most of these companies grew up. We got our favorite products or find something better and more efficient. I love Fenty but I don’t need 12 shades of glosses in my personal kit. We also understand that these celebrities are just people who got popular for doing something or a particular talent ( and the support of the machine). We don’t know them and they don’t know us. We focus more on the products while being more aware of the marketing tactics.
you know when the content is good when you just need to listen the voice of the youtuber, Girl keep this fantastic work, and thank you for teaching your channel is amazing
Since years I regularly repurchase the Fenty beauty stunna lip paint bc so far I haven’t found a more perfect red lipstick. However, any other product I got from celebrity brands I never repurchased. I always liked the quality etc but they simply always were the same as anything from any other brand in the market. Adding that whatever was already on the market tended to be easier accessible and/or cheaper there was never a point in repurchasing anything from a celebrity brand.
More than filling some gaps in the market, they use it to create more necessities and it's quite creepy if you think about it deeply. Most of them don't really use the products they sell. Ngl, I just personally don't use celebrity stuff unless it works for me. Bc for exampñe, I use Idole but not because of Zendaya but because I liked the smell (yet imma change it to something else like oils bc perfumes alter your hormones). And I use that brand because most of them don't irritate my eyes and if I get to have an allergic response, at least I can do a research and make a demand or something. Btw, nice video
I consistently purchase Britney Spears and Ariana Grandes perfumes, they tend to be pretty affordable and smell amazing, I get tons of compliments on them, but if they weren't such good quality, I definitely would just stick to Walmart brand perfumes. Celebrity brands just aren't appealing anymore especially if you can find much better quality using drugstore brands, and in this economy, spending an extra buck just because a popular celebrity released a brand just isnt it, I think one of the biggest reasons celebrities aren't seeing any success in the US anymore is inflation and the economy. The flex culture most of these celebrities rose to fame in is not longer appealing, it just seems like a slap in the face to the average consumer, nobody has the extra money to spend on their 'luxury' brands. Saving money is where its at and I think thats why influencers, especially down to earth "im just like you" influencers, are seeing such success. People want to follow people who are able to relate to their struggles, people who they feel like understand them and they can trust.
Omfg I had that britney spears perfume. I don't wear perfumes much so I recently threw it out as it was getting old but damn I didn't even know that was a britney spears perfume since it was a gift I got yeeeeeears ago. That purple bottle. Getting nostalgic now lol
Baby we broke 😂. I don’t have time or funds right now to be buying anything they are selling. I’m trying to EAT and pay these high a** bills. And I damn sure don’t have time to be paying attention to what they are doing online. I’m out here trying to make it.
the only celebrity brand i actually buy is rare beauty, there products are so good even my mum and aunt love them and they are not very into makeup, also love their brand mission and they are one of the more affordable celebrity makeup brands, i used to buy fenty too but it got too expensive for me and honestly nothing they've released in a while has excited me and i read rihanna's bussinesses rated lower than SHEIN...
I love Haus Labs foundation. Huge Gaga fan . Tried her eyeliners and they were awful. Rem beauty is meh I bought their whole line when it first came out thinking it would sell out but it didn’t. I haven’t repurchased. Rare Beauty is overrated- had a bunch of their stuff. Highlighter broke instantly. Setting spray made me look oily (tried it 2x). The only ‘celebrity’ beauty line I swear by is makeup by Mario and it makes sense because he’s a makeup artist (more credibility). Everything I’ve gotten from that brand has been a staple. The Ariana grande perfumes were nice when I was younger but as a grown woman now I reach for other stuff.
it's sad bc rem beauty had so much potential and i love their aesthethic but their quality... honestly can't agree with you about Rare Beauty, the are yet to miss for me, their products are legitimately great and i use them daily even my mum and aunt love them and they're not into makeup at all! Always wanted to try out Haus Labs but it's hard to get where i live, another makeup brand i wan to try is aboutface by halsey it looks amazing, have you tried it?
@@lauraboredom2168 about face was another big miss for me bought almost every product and it was so hard to blend, just not functional. Brow pencil was a let down. A lot of my makeup artist friends said the same thing.
Ima fenty beauty/skin fein I’ve literally been purchasing that brand since its launch. I started off buying it because of Rihanna. But now it’s become a brand I trust and depend on 😅 it’s sooo good, I can personally tell from my own cosmetic knowledge that they took their time with the brand. Shout out fenty beauty/skin 😊
I buy Shakira's perfumes every time a bottle runs out, I absolutely adore her very first one and "Blue Diamond" and I use that one almost daily. Choosing perfumes is kinda hard for me considering how much I love them lol, so since I discovered I didn't got sick of the smell after 8 month I decided to stick with Blue Diamond for as long as it's available. I defo have an extra unopened box laying around in case it's suddenly discontinued
Fenty good dye young & aboutface are the only ones i stick beside fr 😭 bc theyre the only ones that dont make gimmicky products its not riding on being Rihanna Hayley or Halseys brand they made it for ppl that wear makeup & that dye their hair ive been restocking all of them since launch
I use mint mobile if that counts. Ryan Reynolds is the face and an owner of it, but I didn’t start using it cause of him. I don’t use a ton of makeup and beauty products, but the only two celebrity brands that I can think of off the top of my head that I’d buy rn are probably fenty or rare beauty. But I mostly stick to my elf/nyx/color pop lineup I’ve been using forever
I think celeb perfumes are the only celeb products (with some exceptions) that are actually good. I rly like Ariana's perfumes, JLO's, JB's and 1D when I was younger, Kylie Jenner's new perfume and Bella Hadid's new ones.
Halsey's makeup brand, "about-face", is so underrated!!! The products are so unique and fun, like the eye paints and she just released foundations that have different shades for every undertone (I have light olive skin and undertones are always too yellow or pink and i was so excited when i saw this released). That's really the only current celebrity beauty brand I can think of that I really love. Plus Halsey actually has a passion for makeup and does their own looks for all events, shows, etc
I think some people do have these one or two products that just stick within these brands. I really had to think bout it, I would buy products here and there if the internet bullies me enough to give in to the hype. Like the Haus Labs Foundation. I tried the new Fenty concealer, but the loyalty isn’t there. I don’t care if it’s Ariana’s brand, if the product is good I gonna keep picking it up. For me it’s the rare beauty undereye brightener. Back in the day you couldn’t separate me from my match stix. They were a Holy Grail products. Lasted half a life time and did their thing. The only reason I stopped picking it up was cheaper alternatives doing the exact same thing.
@@tinyseyI have a few of them my favorite is the chocolate one because I like to do black lip combos everyday when I go out that’s the only one I’d repurchase out of all of them
This is a very youthful perspective. There are many other celebrities not related to the Kardashians that came WAY before these talentless ladies who sold their brands for HUGE sums of money. When Kylie came on the scene, her family already had a huge following, but Kylie didn't fill a hole in the industry. At that time, we already had so many lipsticks and palettes. She pedaled the same colors and products and packaged it to appeal to her young audience. But, let's not make Kylie an innovator. All of the Kardashians are opportunists who are fantastic at marketing. Fenty was more revolutionary & its staying power and quality deserve more attention than Kylie.
The only celebrity product I use consistently and is Rihanna’s lip gloss. Not even the whole line just the lip gloss. It’s my favorite formula for a lip gloss. Idc about anything else anymore. I’ve used other things from celebrities but they are never that good. I remember buying a bunch of Tracee Ellis Ross’s hair line and it made my hair so greasy. I liked the conditioner but I had to use so much of it to get good results and that was how ir was intended to be used. Most of your best products will not be from a celebrity. I also don’t think most people that knew enough about Kylie Jenner enough to buy her lip products thought her lips were natural. I’m sure those people had fake lips too. I think they just didn’t care.
I'm personally a big fan of aboutface by Halsey. She makes super brightly colored eye paints that don't smudge, they're incredible. But it does seem like something that is authentic. They're designed to be able to mix like paints. Anyway I really like about face. I haven't had to rebuy any of the eyepaints yet, they last forever, but I totally would. That and Haus Labs are the only celeb brands I really like
I will give Gen-Z just that! They are emotional and honest, seems like they don’t buy BS and they will be more transparent and don’t really believe as much. Hopefully in about 10-20 years we can stop fantasizing and get back to reality!
Rihanna has built a reputable empire with quality products. She has a real brand, and I don't include it in the discussion with the "celebrity brands." That doesn't mean every launch is going to be a homeowner, but this is obviously not just a celebrity cash grab.
the only celebrity brand i purchase is venus williams’s protein powder happy viking. there are definitely gaps in the vegan protein powder market. even outside her credibility as an athlete who also probably uses protein powder… something with no stevia, vegan, and has a serving of fruits/vegetables in one powder is amazing.
After Kylie’s rebrand, I have loved every product I bought . People want to hate her. But no one could make me hate her. I think she does stand out. And I know a lot of people who still buy Kylie Cosmetics
You start out trying to give a brief “history” of celebrity brands, but I think it was pretty poorly researched. Marilyn Monroe and Chanel was just an endorsement, and that wasn’t anything new. The first celebrity perfume was Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds, and it’s still sold today. She walked so those other ladies could run. And when it comes to clothing, did you really start with Kayne? Really? Oh my god no, but if you want to go to celebrities in modern media, Jaclyn Smith. Or even the Olsen twins with the Row were influencing fashion WAY before him. Please look outside your bubble more.
It feels kinda disingenuous to skip the fact that the celebrity boycott and digital guillotine was started specifically in response to the general silence on the Palestinian genocide.

I think we are in the expert era across the board. The brands I buy most are people who are Makeup artists like Pat McGrath and Makeup by Mario
anywho I really enjoy the way you articulate yourself and loved this video essay! 💌
I didn’t know Dwayne Johnson had a hair care line. That’s so ridiculous 😂🧑🦲
It’s like Jlo selling alcohol. Even when she says she doesn’t drink. A mess! 🙄
He has a hairline?? How😂
Please stop spreading misinformation.
Thank you for saying that because people act like is Rihanna create everything in the beauty cuz they like her
The quality was terrible though. Fenty beauty changed my life.
Undertones that Maybelline made could never compare to the wearable undertones that Fenty made especially as a dark skin girl
That's cap. Maybelline fitme don't have 40 shades like fenty. In terms of quality, maybelline can't compete with fenty
Fenty has good products overall and the prices aren’t outrageous!
It's owned by LVMH tho
Like….you know there’s hundreds of employees that also get a cut I’d hope…
I support black women and Rihanna set the vision for this business.
Annoying.
I wish people weren’t so obsessed with celebrities in the first place, these people should not be put on pedestals
Your free to have liked her brands but the mediocrity was transparent form the start.
the only celebrity products i consistently buy are Ariana's and Billie's perfumes. the scents are so good and i get so many compliments because of them, so whenever i run out, i replenish them lmfao
ugh yes I love ari's vanilla scent and her lip liner
and they’re affordable too! sometimes u can find them at nordstrom rack for even cheaper
I use Tracee Ellis Ross's Pattern for my hair. The only celebrity product I wholeheartedly endorse.
Completely agree! Been using her products for 4 years now, always do a big order for Black Friday and replenish through the year. She feels very involved and authentic tho, it doesn’t feel like a cash grab for her
I wanna be in my flop era if Rihanna is in her flop era, she recently became a billionaire on paper and a multimillionaire in assets. 😂
😂
I’m in my 50s and got so burned out on celebrity perfumes in the 90s and 00s that I just never wanted the makeup brands in the first place
Also with the recession, we can't afford to buy colour makeup so we switch to cheaper things like lip balms, hence why brands like Rhode and Rare are thriving!
It’s definitely not over. If anything people are just thinking more about where they spend their money.
They gotta go into liquor/alcohol. Nobody ever too broke to drink ! Think diddy, jay z,the rock, Matthew mcconaughey
Kylie did and it’s currently flopping like hell.
Diddy does not own Ciroc, he was the face of that brand
@@Justcanary8888 Shes not talking about Ciroc. Shes talking about the other one. Diddy owned half Of Deleon though before he sold it.
I use perfume like once a month so I guess I'm safe 😌 No but seriously, we are getting more educated and are not so naive anymore.
Oooooo 🫣 VS in Target may have been a nice lil reboot collab for the gworls! Esp since ppl don’t do VS Pink anymore 💖 🤦🏽♀️
I still wear Sarah Jessica Parker’s perfume “Lovely” till this day! 👏🏽👌🏽

Okay. Thank you. 😊
I purposely don’t buy from celeb brands
You made so many great points in this video.
I appreciate that!
I use small brand makeups like
Milani
Jordana ( was bought out by the above)
Nyx
Wet n wild
Colour pop
Italia
For foundation and primers, its more higher end.
Love Milani’s blushes, lipsticks and lipglosses.
Milani & Elf are the only brands I consistently restock on 😊 Affordable yet efficient!
I will forever use Britney Spears perfume, Kim K’s and Cloud by Ariana .Affordable everyday perfume that I compliments on.
you know when the content is good when you just need to listen the voice of the youtuber, Girl keep this fantastic work, and thank you for teaching your channel is amazing
Fun fact. Marie Antoinette never said "let them eat cake".
You have such a relaxing voice 😊
Yess I am over celebrity brands. Like there are so many other ppl that actually care about their brands and actually make it.
Makeup by Mario did not disappoint
Lady GagGag has the boorish manners of a Yalie.
it's sad bc rem beauty had so much potential and i love their aesthethic but their quality... honestly can't agree with you about Rare Beauty, the are yet to miss for me, their products are legitimately great and i use them daily even my mum and aunt love them and they're not into makeup at all!
I was really enjoying trying new rare beauty products until I learned that Selena is allegedly a Zionist :/ so yeah I’m moving on to elf now
Elf is actually really good for the price too🌸
I love ELF! Their pure skin collection for skin care actually calms down my super sensitive skin 🙌🏽
elf is too unfortunately
I hadn’t heard that. Still it’s the only brand made with the disabled girlies in mind so I hope her politics don’t take it down
Wait really? I’m gonna have to look up - I haven’t bought from Rare yet
Oh and I love Rare beauty blush and highlighter
i have yet to buy any celebrity brands but i have always been interested in celebrity perfumes since some celebrities are known for smelling good
celebrity brands should just stick to perfume and alcohol 😂
oh i remember the perfume era Beyoncé's Heat, all of the Britney fragrances and Shakiras oh i loved them
I never really buy celebrity brands but one only brand I'd keep going back is Haus Labs, the quality really is top notch and worth every penny.
Fenty good dye young & aboutface are the only ones i stick beside fr 😭 bc theyre the only ones that dont make gimmicky products its not riding on being Rihanna Hayley or Halseys brand they made it for ppl that wear makeup & that dye their hair ive been restocking all of them since launch
amazing video, new subscriber here🌟
I use mint mobile if that counts.
The only celebrity brand I buy from is fenty and I only buy the lipglosses and nothing else
same, the lipgloss is nice. Ive only bought it once though.

I love how you still use your old intro ❤

I hope this means real supermodels are coming back 🤞🏾
I'm personally a big fan of aboutface by Halsey. She makes super brightly colored eye paints that don't smudge, they're incredible. But it does seem like something that is authentic. They're designed to be able to mix like paints. Anyway I really like about face. I haven't had to rebuy any of the eyepaints yet, they last forever, but I totally would. That and Haus Labs are the only celeb brands I really like
I buys Jessica Simpsons shoes pretty often. They’re pretty affordable and decent quality
So many people are calling for celebrity culture to die but a lot of you would lose your jobs and… *whispers the loud part* personalities 🙊
Fenty good dye young & aboutface are the only ones i stick beside fr 😭
the only celebrity brand i purchase is venus williams’s protein powder happy viking. there are definitely gaps in the vegan protein powder market. even outside her credibility as an athlete who also probably uses protein powder… something with no stevia, vegan, and has a serving of fruits/vegetables in one powder is amazing.
I’m sorry… people actually thought Kylie’s lips were real??
After Kylie’s rebrand, I have loved every product I bought . People want to hate her. But no one could make me hate her. I think she does stand out. And I know a lot of people who still buy Kylie Cosmetics
queen you ate
Overpriced crap they can keep it & we’ll keep our money.
I DONT BUY ANY CELEBRITY PRODUCTS FOR ALL THOSE REASONS. I SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES THAT ARE BLACK OWNED AND INVEST IN OUR BLACK COMMUNITY.
